Three days after nightfall, the pitch-black sea was impenetrable to sight, the sea breeze ceased, and the waters were calm when suddenly a nuclear submarine appeared. It stopped ascending after exposing its top. The hatch opened from the inside, and several dark figures erged. So quickly inflated a dinghy; once it was inflated, the figures threw backpacks onto the dinghy and hauled the motor on board before jumping in themselves.

Quickly, the dinghy started and rushed toward the dark coastline. The nuclear submarine slowly subrged and vanished without a trace. Under the cover of darkness, the dinghy swiftly reached the shore. The figures dragged the dinghy onto the coast, crossed through the reef, and reached the woods where they began to bustle thodically. So deflated the dinghy, others dug into the ground, and yet others organized supplies and equipnt.

After about fifteen minutes, everyone buried the dinghy, camouflaged it with dry leaves, and gathered in a circle, squatting on the ground. Then a cold female voice whispered, "Brothers, our mission has started. From this mont, at any ti and in any place, we must remain highly vigilant."

"Yes," the others responded softly in agreent.

This team was the Lan Xue Team that had infiltrated via a three-day submarine journey. Everyone grabbed their backpacks and checked their equipnt, which was provided by the National Blade Equipnt Team and was significantly better and more powerful than that of regular special forces.

For instance, the jungle digital camo combat uniforms they wore had strong anti-infrared scanning capabilities, making it difficult to be detected at night by night vision devices or infrared sights. Each person carried an atomic watch, which not only had global GPS functionality but also contained a wire for use as a rope in critical monts and button-shaped intense ti bombs that were small yet powerful and easy to carry.

Of course, there were special ropes capable of lifting trucks, underwater-compatible and long-lasting high-intensity tactical flashlights, central sedatives for pain relief, ergency dical kits, anti-poison masks, and more, significantly enhancing their wilderness survival ability. Their weapons were also top-notch, with each person carrying a D80-Tiger Teeth, known as the "ultimate Huaxia military dagger," versatile in stabbing, slicing, chopping, peeling, and splitting. For firearms, everyone had a Type 95 assault rifle and a Type 92 handgun, using the sa weapons and ammunitions on the battlefield could be life-saving.

Luo Zheng, Lan Xue, and Mountain Eagle each carried an additional Type 09 sniper rifle. This dostic rifle, equipped with a Kepler white light scope and a world-pioneering automatic calibration system, used 12.7 mm sniper bullets and multifunctional rounds, had a muzzle velocity of 825 ters per second, an effective range of 1500 ters, and a specially modified magazine that held three tis the rounds of similar export models—20 rounds. It ca equipped with integrated white light and thermal imaging scopes, enabling day-night combat capability.

This operation was indeed equipped with superb gear. Luo Zheng had even brought along his black long knife, influenced by the na "Tiger Teeth," he had nad his black long knife "Dragon Tooth." With both dragon and tiger at his side, Luo Zheng was filled with confidence and determined to complete this mission.

With so much equipnt, the load was not light. Guided by the night vision device, the team moved forward, with Mountain Eagle leading and Luo Zheng taking up the rear. The deep dark forest occasionally echoed with the roars of unknown wild beasts, adding a touch of horror to the peaceful woods, while the sea breeze carried a fishy scent and the moist air mixed with the faint aroma of rotting unknown corpses.

The team moved in silence, treading carefully. To avoid detection, they had chosen a landing spot far from their destination. Normally, it would take three days at a normal pace, but fortunately, they had slept throughout the submarine's dark journey, and everyone was energetic, making overnight travel no problem.

Less than ten minutes into their march, Luo Zheng felt an itch on the back of his hand. Looking down, he saw a blood-sucking grasshopper. He thought little of it, preparing to pick it up and throw it away since such creatures were common in the forest. But when he tried to grab it, he was horrified to find that half of the grasshopper's body was burrowing into his vein. He carefully pulled at it and tossed it away.

"Stop moving forward," Luo Zheng urgently shouted through the headset.

Everyone stopped, turned around in surprise to look at Luo Zheng, and saw that his complexion was awful. Thinking an enemy was nearby, they instantly beca alert, aiming their guns around and searching carefully. Luo Zheng quickly gathered everyone into a group and pointing to his wound, he said, "There is a very peculiar blood-sucking locust, it burrows into the veins before feeding. Everyone be careful."

Lan Xue saw blood flowing from the back of Luo Zheng's hand, quickly took out hemostatic spray, applied it, and simply bandaged it with gauze. Realizing the trouble, everyone checked each other to make sure no one else was affected and sighed in relief. They wrapped their necks with towels to prevent any locust attacks. With bulletproof helts on their heads, the only exposed parts were necks, faces, and palms. The face was not easy to bite, so everyone hurriedly put on tactical gloves.

"Is it serious?" Lan Xue asked, worried about whether these locusts might carry viruses or sothing similar.

Luo Zheng felt his body and shook his head, "So far, I can't feel any problem. None of us have been to this prival forest before, we're not familiar with it, there are many unknown factors. Everyone should be very careful."

"Everyone, be cautious while marching, slow down the pace a bit." Lan Xue looked at the others and cautioned.

"Yes," Ghost Hand and the others puffed out their chests and agreed. The team continued on their way. After the locust incident, they tried as much as possible to walk in open areas, avoiding touching the surrounding branches, walking very carefully.

Half an hour later, Luo Zheng moved to the front to lead the way, pulling out his Dragon Tooth to use it as a machete. With one stroke, the branches were cleared. Just a few steps in, he suddenly noticed sothing crawling underfoot, causing him alarm. On closer scrutiny, it was scorpions, large ones, as big as chopsticks and quite nurous and active. The ground was covered with rotting leaves, which startled him, and he quickly raised his palm to signal a halt to the march.

Everyone stopped in place and looked around vigilantly. Lan Xue asked through the earpiece in a low voice, "What's happening?"

"Lots of scorpions, this path is blocked," Luo Zheng whispered back.

"Scorpions? Just stomp right over them. We have high-top bulletproof boots with blast-proof steel plates on the soles. Any scorpion would be crushed underfoot; what's there to be afraid of?" Ghost Hand said nonchalantly.

"You guys co and take a look," Luo Zheng said with a wry smile.

Upon hearing this, everyone knew they had encountered trouble again. They carefully approached and bent down near Luo Zheng, also seeing the large number of lively scorpions ahead. Their size was alarming, and everyone froze. Small scorpions could be crushed underfoot easily, but these large ones, appearing very agile— and the sheer number of them— ant trouble if they climbed onto soone.
