Encountering a giant python in the prival forest is an utterly terrifying experience, Luo Zheng never expected his luck to be so rotten: less than a day into the forest, he had already encountered poisonous scorpions, leopards, wild wolves, and now this horrendous giant python. This prival forest was far too fearso, far beyond human comprehension. Watching the python draw ever nearer, Luo Zheng felt increasingly worried about the path ahead, as age-old wisdom suddenly sprang to his mind.
It was said that a snake, upon seeing prey it cannot swallow, will give up. Luo Zheng didn't know if this was true, but he imdiately raised Dragon Tooth high, lengthening his body. The python did not know if Dragon Tooth was part of his body, or whether it would attack. Luo Zheng pondered this as he watched the python flick its tongue, observing its head as large as a grinding plate, and suddenly realized how naive he was being.
Dragon Tooth rely added to his length, not his width, and with his stature, he was still not as thick as the python's waist; it wouldn't be a strain for the python to swallow him. Irritated, he put down Dragon Tooth and a naless rage rose within him. He quickly lay down on the ground, at a right angle to the direction from which the python was approaching. In this way, what was length beca width, and the python could not possibly swallow him whole.
"What are you doing?" Lan Xue saw Luo Zheng not only was not retreating but had also laid down. She was extrely anxious and hurriedly asked. Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and Mountain Eagle also couldn't understand what Luo Zheng was up to; they all beca anxious, keeping a tight watch on the python and readying themselves to shoot, prepared to attack before the python could.
"Don't panic, everybody." Luo Zheng said in a low, cold voice, his piercing gaze locked onto the python. Seeing it draw closer without any intention of giving up, he knew a fight was inevitable. He quietly took out a hand grenade, a great man dies but does not beco food for a python. His other hand gripped Dragon Tooth tightly, ready for battle, and he would not easily give up until the very last mont.
The python suddenly accelerated, its head low to the ground, charging toward Luo Zheng with its mouth slightly open. Luo Zheng caught a whiff of a foul sll, which snapped his tense nerves to even greater alertness. As the python neared, his body shrank back quickly, Dragon Tooth slashing at the python's lips.
Just as the python opened its mouth, Dragon Tooth successfully cleaved into the edge of the python's lips. Luo Zheng's body sprang up, feet pushing hard against the python's lower jaw, his body like a straightened bow, leveraging to the side. Holding Dragon Tooth, he pulled with force, and with a tearing sound, he ripped open the edge of the python's mouth even more.
"Hiss!" The python reacted to the pain; its mouth opened wide as if it were a bottomless pit that could swallow everything. Its crimson tongue flicked in and out, its body twisting as its head suddenly raised up high, more than a ter tall, its cold gaze exuding a deathly chill, firmly locked onto Luo Zheng, clearly infuriated to the extre.
Luo Zheng knew this was the python coiling its strength for a strike, not daring to be careless at all. He half-squatted on the ground, like a fierce tiger ready to spring, his eyes sharply confronting the python. His entire body was taut, his heartbeat accelerated, and he broke into a cold sweat, facing such a large python for the first ti, feeling a sense of dread.
"Swoosh!" The python suddenly struck, its head moving like lightning, opening its huge maw in a chilling way.
Luo Zheng watched the scene calmly, and at the critical mont, the hand grenade ant to take out the python was thrown like lightning into its gaping mouth. Luo Zheng jumped to his feet and sprinted away. The python, sensing sothing in its mouth, instinctively closed it, temporarily giving up the attack.
"Boom!" A muffled sound followed, and the python's head was blown to bits. Its body rolled, its tail flailing aimlessly, knocking down the surrounding trees, creating a scene of total chaos.
"Pfft!" The tail, which resembled an iron whip, struck the ground fiercely, dust billowing, rocks shattering, trees snapping, the ground almost seed to moan. Seeing this, Luo Zheng's face suddenly changed, and he quickly backed away while the others turned and ran, their faces filled with grave concern.
Amidst the running, everyone heard the silence behind them and turned their heads to look back, only to see that the python was rely rolling about, devoid of the ferocity it displayed before. It was clear that its life force was almost depleted. The attack monts ago was its last before death. Everyone stopped and looked at each other in disbelief—such a fierce creature.
"Brother, I'm impressed," Ghost Hand said to Luo Zheng, still shaken. Its head was blown apart, yet it was still so fierce and managed to last so long before dying. Had it attacked us directly with a gun, I fear none of us would have survived.
"It was just luck," Luo Zheng replied, also shaken, as he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, feeling extrely fortunate. If he hadn't struck first with a knife, opening the python's mouth wide and forcing it to launch an attack with its gaping jaws, there might have been no chance to escape, and his body would have beco fertilizer in this forest.
"That knife strike was critical," Lan Xue remarked with a sense of awe. "It was too risky; we can't do things like this again."
"Captain, Ghost had no choice—he was being targeted by the python. In these woods, none of us could have gotten away; we had to fight. Fortunately, the first strike made it angry and forced it to open its mouth to attack. That move was smart; it was a learning experience," Mountain Eagle exclaid, his words tinged with lingering fear and lacking coherence.
"It's good that it was the mouth. If it had attacked the body, the python would have likely swung its tail wildly instead of opening its mouth to attack. Brother Ghost, well done," Snow Leopard said, full of admiration.
As they spoke, the python had stopped rolling and settled completely still. Everyone gathered around and gazed at the massive creature, filled with a sense of awe. Luo Zheng quickly cut open the python at the point seven inches from its head with Dragon Tooth, extracted the snake gallbladder, and handed it to Lan Xue, saying, "Here, a good thing. Swallow it in one gulp."
The gallbladder was the size of a fist, known for improving eyesight and beautifying the skin. Lan Xue, of course, knew it was valuable. She took it without hesitation and swallowed it whole. The gallbladder contained poison, and biting into it would have been disastrous. For Soldier King, eating raw at was of no concern -- all the more for a re python gallbladder.
Luo Zheng didn't stop there; he continued to carve up the python. Everyone was puzzled by his actions but suspected there must be a reason, so they didn't ask more questions and ca up to help. After cutting the python into two halves, Luo Zheng pulled out Tiger Teeth and continued to carefully dissect, peeling a tendon from within the flesh, slippery to the touch but extrely tough.
"Brother, what's this for?" Ghost Hand couldn't hold back his curiosity.
"It's sothing good. You'll find out soon," Luo Zheng answered nonchalantly, continuing with his work. Seeing that Luo Zheng needed more ti, Lan Xue gestured to everyone to start a fire. The python was ready-made food, and there was a river nearby; taking the opportunity to prepare a al wasn't a bad idea.
Understanding the intention, everyone busied themselves, cutting the python at into pieces, using helts as pots, setting them over the fire to stew. By this ti, Luo Zheng had separated the python tendon, washed it clean, and set it aside to dry in the wind. Everyone was full of curiosity, but since Luo Zheng wasn't offering any explanations, they didn't bother to ask any more questions.
