"Big sis, what's the reward?" Lan Xing's voice whined over the phone.
"Little sister is in trouble," Lan Xue said coldly.
"Ah? Oh, I'll be ready soon, just wait a mont." Startled, Lan Xing sprang into action quickly.
Luo Zheng knew that the phone little sister used was a gift from Lan Xue, who had specially installed a tracking chip in it as a ans to protect little sister's safety. He didn't object. Unexpectedly, it ca into use today. In less than a minute, Lan Xing called back and inford Lan Xue of little sister's location—near the south gate of Beijing University.
They quickly hailed a taxi and arrived at the south gate intersection of Beijing University, only to find nothing. Watching the endless stream of vehicles and the hurried flow of people, Luo Zheng's face turned ashen, and a murderous aura was about to erupt. He looked at Lan Xue, who without saying much, quickly dialed Lan Xing's number and asked, "Where's the signal now?"
"It's not near you?" Lan Xing asked in surprise from the other end of the phone.
"No one here," Lan Xue replied coldly, her icy gaze involuntarily locking onto a nearby trash can. She walked over, pulled out two cell phones from the inside—one of which was the phone given to little sister—and the other looked quite stylish. Lan Xue tossed it to Ghost Hand.
"It's my sister's," Ghost Hand confird after checking it.
"They must have been abducted on their way ho from school at this intersection," Lan Xue said coldly, her chilly gaze sweeping around, quickly spotting several surveillance caras. She imdiately turned to Luo Zheng and said, "Don't panic. If this is the Song family's doing, they'll definitely know Gui Fang's identity and won't do anything rash. There are caras here—let's go to the public security bureau and check them out."
"Let's go," Luo Zheng said icily, desperately suppressing the rage in his heart.
They hailed two taxis and split up to head to the public security bureau. As luck would have it, the head of the major cris unit, Shi Feng, was coming out and was startled to see Luo Zheng and the others with stern faces entering. He quickly gestured to the security guards at the door not to interfere and went forward to salute and greet them while tentatively asking, "What brings you here today, sirs?"
"A Siberian cold front," Ghost Hand replied coldly.
"Eh?" Shi Feng looked awkwardly at Lan Xue, who coldly said, "Soone was kidnapped at the Beijing intersection. It's a military family mber—kidnapping a military family mber, the cri is one degree higher. We ca here hoping you could help us look at the surveillance."
"Ah? Okay," Shi Feng, realizing soone had offended these formidable figures and that the situation was urgent, dispensed with formalities and gestured for everyone to follow him to the surveillance center. They quickly had the staff investigate with the specific location and ti provided, which made the search easy.
Soon, the screen showed an image. During the red light, two black vans blocked a small car, smashed the window, and covered the heads of the people inside, taking them directly into the black vans. It wasn't clear who was kidnapped; the assailants all wore hoods, so their faces were not visible. However, their actions were swift and efficient. After succeeding, they hurried away, even driving off with the small car.
The perpetrators acted too fast for the surrounding citizens to understand whether it was a kidnapping; no one called the police. Watching this unfold, Luo Zheng's face grew colder as he looked at Ghost Hand, who confird, "It's my sister's car."
With the situation clear, Shi Feng, his face filled with shock at the scene, looked back at Luo Zheng and the others, their faces icy with anger, and suddenly realized what was happening. He cursed angrily, "Those bastards, to do such a thing in broad daylight. I'll check right away. I swear I'll skin them alive."
"You don't have to act; just find out who was responsible," Luo Zheng said coldly.
"Huh?" Shi Feng thought for a mont, didn't argue, and imdiately had the technician check the license plates, only to discover they were fake. This result caused Luo Zheng's face to turn ashen. Ghost Hand, familiar with the ins and outs, said coldly, "Let's go, soone will naturally know what's going on."
"Wait a minute, I'll go with you," Shi Feng said imdiately, afraid these fierce gods would create a ss he couldn't clean up, and he could sowhat keep them in check if he were by their side.
"No need," Ghost Hand said coldly and walked outside.
Everyone followed him outside, hailed two taxis, and split up to get in. Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand shared one, and Ghost Hand ntioned the na of a night club. The taxi driver was startled but didn't ask any questions and hurriedly drove there. On the way, Luo Zheng noticed a police SUV following them. On closer inspection, it was Shi Feng. He glanced at Ghost Hand.
Ghost Hand shook his head indifferently. Luo Zheng didn't ask further, struggling to contain the fury in his heart. Unknowingly, the taxi arrived at the night club entrance. The two of them got out, waited a mont, and the taxi carrying Lan Xue and others also arrived. The group of five headed toward the night club with big strides.
Two security guards ca over to stop them, one of them said politely, "Guys, we're not open yet. Co back in two hours, will you?"
As a scion of Beijing's elite, Ghost Hand knew quite a lot about the rules of the underworld. His expression turned frosty as he glared at the man and said coldly, "Call Brother Dao here."
"Brother, I don't know any Brother Dao. We don't have anyone by that na here," the security guard quickly replied, his face turning cautious as he gave Luo Zheng and the rest a surreptitious glance before stepping back.
"How about now?" Ghost Hand lifted his jacket, revealing a handgun. Given their status, they were legally permitted to carry guns.
The security guard had sharp eyes, recognizing at first glance that it was a real piece. Anyone bold enough to brandish a gun in broad daylight was either a Law Enforcer or a fierce character from across the river, neither of which he could afford to offend. His face darkened as he stepped back and picked up the walkie-talkie, shouting, "Captain, captain, soone's looking for Brother Dao."
"Which bastard is looking for him? Brother Dao isn't soone just anyone can et," a voice roared back crudely.
"They've got real pieces," the security guard hurriedly explained.
"Huh?" There was a mont of silence on the other end before the reply ca, "Bring them in."
"Please," the security guard's tone beca more courteous as he gestured for them to enter.
Ghost Hand swaggered forward. Luo Zheng didn't know why Ghost Hand was here or who this Brother Dao was, but out of absolute trust in Ghost Hand, he asked no questions, suppressed his anxiety, and followed towards the entrance, walking into a magnificent hall.
The hall was filled with tables and chairs, people were getting the bar ready for opening, so were adjusting the sound system, others were cleaning. About a dozen n ca down from the second floor, each looking fierce and formidable. The leader, a bald man with tattoos and bare arms showing off muscular biceps, bellowed, "Which brother from the streets is looking for ?"
"Your granddad, ," Ghost Hand said coldly, pulling out a gun and smacking it on the nearby table. He pulled over a stool to sit down, and looking coldly at the man, he said, "Brother Dao, is it? Long ti no see. You've beco quite brazen."
"Looking for death," so burly n coldly eyed Ghost Hand, their faces filled with anger, ready to make their move.
