Facing strong enemies in a disadvantageous position, Luo Zheng showed no worry at all. A fight to the death was the worst that could happen. His gaze toward Turul was filled with a cold killing intent, and his grip on the Japanese blade tightened. His fearless attitude infuriated Turul, who bellowed, "Kid, seeking death is easy, I can grant you that. So young, and yet you still have a good life to squander. Won't you consider their thoughts?"

"Trying to sow discord?" Luo Zheng sneered. "If you have the guts, bring it on. Even if I die, I'll drag a third of your n down with . Don't believe ? Without enough n, your end isn't far off. The Governnt Army will encircle you in no ti. I'm just going before you. Co on."

"Threatening ?" Turul yelled in frustration, losing his patience. Balang, beside him, gestured towards their forces to draw back and aid their guns at Luo Zheng and his companions. Close combat would only lead to unnecessary casualties. Balang planned to shoot his enemies in the chaos. Turul, realizing his intent, didn't stop him but instead coldly said, "I'll give you one more chance. My patience is limited."

If they were to pull back now, it would be the end for everyone. They had just taken these soldiers by surprise, but now they had regained their composure and were unwilling to fight up close. Inside, Luo Zheng was bitter, but his face showed unwavering determination. Without hesitation, he proclaid, "Let's fight then. It's not yet certain who will fall." He secretly resolved to capture Turul first, which might offer a chance to survive. Death was the worst it could get. He was all in.

At that mont, Luo Zheng caught a glimpse of a red light appearing on Turul's chest and was shocked. Turul and his n, focusing on Luo Zheng's group, had not noticed anything amiss. Luo Zheng was very familiar with the red light; it was the laser from a sniper rifle, used for aiming and range finding. Confusion arose within him. Could it be Mountain Eagle?

"Huh?" Luo Zheng heard Ghost Hand let out a slight sound of surprise. If it weren't for their closeness, he wouldn't have heard it at all. This sound of doubt made Luo Zheng realize it wasn't Mountain Eagle, otherwise, Ghost Hand would have known. So who could it be? No matter, it could be used to his advantage. His spirits lifted, and he sneered, "Take a look at your chest."

Surprised, Turul looked at Luo Zheng, puzzled. With a distance of seven or eight ters between them, Luo Zheng had no reason to play tricks. But hearing the surprised voices around him, Turul knew sothing was up. He looked down to find a red dot on his chest and quickly realized what it was. His face turned pale as he was about to duck for cover, only to hear Luo Zheng's cold voice saying, "You better not move. Otherwise, my n might misunderstand, and a shaky hand can be quite troubleso."

"What do you want?" Turul bellowed angrily.

"Kill them," Balang urged, worried that his father might compromise, shouting anxiously.

"Kid, now look at your own chest," Luo Zheng said with a sneer.

When Balang looked down, he too saw the sniper's laser aiming at him. His face turned deathly white, and he was about to dodge, but there was no good cover nearby. Where to hide? At that mont, Luo Zheng let out a cold laugh, with a look of having the upper hand. His eyes turned fierce as he declared, "What do you say? Let's make a deal."

"What do you want?" Turul glared at Luo Zheng, fury burning in his eyes. He wanted to tear Luo Zheng into pieces. The mory of being outwitted by Luo Zheng in their last hostage exchange was fresh in his mind. Now another deal? Turul instantly guarded, with old and new hatred surging in his heart.

"It's simple. You let us go, and we all live in peace. If not, it will be an honor to have you and your son cushion our fall. Make your choice. My n are running out of patience," Luo Zheng said, his icy gaze tinged with mocking sarcasm, speaking unhurriedly.

Enraged, Turul gritted his teeth. He couldn't bear dying alongside Luo Zheng's trio. Balang, targeted by the sniper, lost his temper and glared at Luo Zheng, his eyes brimming with sinister coldness.

"So what is it? What's your choice?" Luo Zheng asked indifferently, a sneer on his lips, as he secretly prepared to fight. If negotiations broke down, he would imdiately rush to capture Turul.

Turul's face turned an iron blue with fury as he glared at Luo Zheng like a starved wolf, but under the deterrence of the sniper, he begrudgingly chose to compromise. This compromise made Turul even angrier, and he resolved that once he regained his freedom, he would imdiately launch an attack and not rest until he had killed these bastards. He said coldly, "You all may leave."

"That's more like it," Luo Zheng sneered, then switched to the Huaxia Country language and whispered, "You guys pull out first, I'll cover the rear."

"Be careful," Lan Xue said softly, exchanging a glance with Ghost Hand. Noticing Ghost Hand's shoulder wound had worsened, she helped him and walked toward the forest.

Luo Zheng also began to retreat slowly, his eyes tightly fixed on Turul. His body tensed, slightly bent forward, with his feet ready to unleash his full power at a mont's notice. As soon as Turul gave the order to attack, he would strike back. Doubts clouding his mind, he wondered who had co to their aid, and it seed there were at least two snipers.

Retreating slowly to the edge of the forest, Luo Zheng saw Lan Xue and Ghost Hand had entered the woods, and he turned and ran. Regrettably, without an earpiece, he couldn't coordinate with the supporting snipers; Luo Zheng wouldn't have hesitated to order an attack, as killing Turul and Balang would scatter the warlord's forces—but unfortunately, that wasn't an option.

Arriving at the hillside, Luo Zheng saw people rushing out of the forest, fully ard, their faces sared with thick camouflage paint, making their features indiscernible. One of them saluted Lan Xue, exchanged a few words in a low voice, and imdiately soone ca to help, carrying Ghost Hand and rushing forward. More ca towards Luo Zheng.

Seeing Luo Zheng, these people saluted him solemnly. Without a word, yet Luo Zheng read the recognition in their eyes and expressions. He couldn't help but smile, returned the salute, and hurriedly said, "Quick, tell the snipers to take out those two they have locked down."

"They've already escaped," a robust man said to Luo Zheng politely.

Luo Zheng gave him a glance, not recognizing him, and sighed in resignation. These people didn't know the identities of Turul and Balang. To avoid escalating the conflict, they had chosen not to shoot—an understandable decision, yet a pity. Luo Zheng said in frustration, "Would you mind covering our retreat? Oh, and who are you?"

"Our Squad Leader is called Scholar, and he will tell you everything you want to know," the man replied courteously.

"Scholar?" Luo Zheng was surprised, not expecting Scholar to have led the team. He was delighted and laughed as he jested, "That kid beca a squad leader, huh?"

"Yes, and you are?" the man asked curiously upon seeing Luo Zheng's knowledge of Scholar.

"Ghost," Luo Zheng replied joyfully.

"You're the captain of our Squad Leader?" the man said in surprise, drawing the attention of those around him. They all turned to look at Luo Zheng with faces full of astonishnt. Seeing Luo Zheng's bemused expression, the man quickly explained, "Our squad leader often talks about you with great admiration," his words filled with respect.
