"Xue Er, I will get you out of here as soon as possible," Luo Zheng said earnestly as he looked at Lan Xue. A strong sense of confidence and a fighting spirit burst forth from him. He had survived battles of life and death—what was the Stone Path in comparison? Grasping the Tiger Teeth military knife, he strode forward, determined to fight for his love and their future.

Lan Xue watched Luo Zheng's retreating figure and smiled tenderly. In that mont, her cold facade completely fell away, and her radiant smile blood for love. She felt like she had beco the woman of the towering man before her. Their hearts had never seed so close, indistinguishable from one another.

As she watched Luo Zheng ascend the Stone Path and begin to chisel away at its end, her smile grew even warr. The feeling of being cared for was truly wonderful.

At that mont, Luo Zheng forcefully stabbed the rock with Tiger Teeth. Fortunately, the rock was not too hard, and the knife was sharp; it pierced a small hole, although not deep and the result was not very satisfactory. Turning to look at the Stone Path that had already been worked on, he couldn't help but admire Lan Xue. To have excavated so much from such hard rock in fifteen days was no easy feat. The thought of the satellite phone and rope ca to his mind, and he called out, "That's right, have you seen the satellite phone?"

"I have, but it's too deep here; there's no signal. I've tried," Lan Xue replied with a smile. The military bag was waterproof, and the satellite phone was also in a waterproof bag, so it wasn't affected, but without a signal, there was nothing to be done.

Luo Zheng looked up at the cliff, four to five hundred ters high. Unless he climbed up halfway, he might be able to catch a signal. Filled with hope, Luo Zheng began to chisel the Stone Path more energetically. He also changed his strategy, no longer considering passage, but instead had Lan Xue hand up the rope. He dug a few climbable holes and started to climb upwards.

After two hours of effort, Luo Zheng reached a sheer face of the cliff and tied the rope to a protruding rock, creating a groove in the tie-off spot to prevent the rope from slipping. Once the rope was secured, Luo Zheng climbed down and, after reuniting with Lan Xue, they both sat on a rock. He pulled out so compressed biscuits from his backpack and shared them with Lan Xue. As they ate, he said, "Xue Er, I've thought it over. There's no need to clear a path, we just need to find a way to climb up. Once we're on the cliff top, having a signal will make everything easier."

"Mm-hmm, you take the lead," Lan Xue smiled affectionately and replied. She had understood Luo Zheng's intentions as soon as he had taken action and did not object. The Stone Path was created because they did not have a satellite phone and needed to pass through. Now that they had the phone, there was no need to carve the path anymore; figuring out how to climb the cliff was enough.

Luo Zheng looked at the sky; there were only a few hours left before dark. He quickly finished the compressed biscuits, drank so water, and continued on. He grabbed the rope, climbed up a section of the cliff, stabilized himself, and continued to carve small holes that could be used for hand grips or footholds.

Three hours later, Luo Zheng was quite tired. Glancing at the sky, which had already dimd, he estimated that it would soon be dark. He had no choice but to grasp the rope and climb down from the cliff to talk about their ti apart with Lan Xue. Unwittingly, darkness fell, and they nestled together to rest, falling asleep peacefully with the raw desire to survive.

The next morning, Luo Zheng woke up and continued working. By midday, he had progressed about a hundred ters. Resting briefly at noon, he resud chiseling, and by evening, he had raised their elevation by another hundred ters or so. The two chatted leisurely together, passing their days in contentnt, without a trace of distress or helplessness from being trapped.

Lovers always manage to forget everything unpleasant, forget the passage of ti. Early the next morning, Luo Zheng, with a satellite phone in hand, continued to carve out the sheer cliff and climb upwards. By noon, Luo Zheng was quite tired and ready to descend, but he took out the satellite phone to test the signal again; it wasn't his first ti testing that morning.

Suddenly, Luo Zheng saw the satellite phone pick up a signal and couldn't help but be overjoyed. The signal wasn't very strong, so Luo Zheng decided to persevere a bit longer. After securing the satellite phone, he glanced down; he was now over two hundred ters high, and Lan Xue was barely visible below. Thankfully, there wasn't much wind in the pit, and the stability of his body, supported by the small holes, was quite good. Luo Zheng decided not to tell Lan Xue about the surprise just yet and continued to hollow out climbable holes, unwittingly ascending a few more ters.

Filled with delight, Luo Zheng took out the satellite phone again and saw that the signal had strengthened significantly. He gripped onto a small hole with one hand to steady his form, then quickly pressed the call button with the other hand, bringing the phone to his ear with anticipation. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew from the side, startling him and making him look up in surprise.

There was nothing around him; the wind had just suddenly picked up, whistling past his ears and making a loud whooshing sound through the phone's receiver, rendering it impossible to hear clearly. The wind was quickly intensifying, causing Luo Zheng to sway as if he might fall at any mont. He was shocked and instinctively reached for the small holes on the sheer wall, but the satellite phone bumped against the wall and slipped from his grasp.

The satellite phone was Luo Zheng's greatest hope, so naturally, he couldn't let it drop. Falling from such a height, it would surely shatter. Luo Zheng was horrified and reached out to grab it. His body swayed, and with a strong gust of wind, he lost his balance and fell.

"Ah?" Luo Zheng was shocked, feeling his body plumting downwards at high speed and was utterly terrified. He hadn't expected to co so close only to fail. At least he had seen Lan Xue before facing death; even if he died, he had no regrets. However, it was a pity he hadn't been able to ensure Lan Xue's safety – it was indeed a matter of regret. As the wind rushed by his ears, carrying with it the sound of desperate screams, a very familiar voice, Luo Zheng was startled and imdiately strained to listen.

"Atomic watch!" cried the voice with heartbreaking despair.

Luo Zheng was stunned, then suddenly realized it was Lan Xue reminding him. His will to live surged, and he flipped his arm, reaching a critical mont. Luo Zheng managed to calm himself, showing no sign of the panic that cos with impending death, and aid his atomic watch at the rock face, rapidly pressing the trigger.

"Whoosh!" A dark light shot out from the watch like lightning, akin to a bullet, with a thud entrenched deeply into the rock face. A thin wire connected to the watch, and Luo Zheng felt a sharp pain in his arm. His falling body slamd violently against the sheer wall, making a thud sound.

"Hiss?" Luo Zheng hissed from the pain, feeling an imnse pulling force on his arm, as if it were about to be ripped off. The ribs that had just healed were broken again, but his body was hanging in mid-air, held steady by the wire shot from the atomic watch, swinging back and forth.

The National Blade Equipnt Team had specially designed Yongzi watches with a flying wire for crucial life-saving monts. Indeed, their products were extraordinary. Luo Zheng felt the thin flying wire holding him without issue and inwardly sighed in relief. Hearing Lan Xue's anxious calls from below, he ca to his senses and quickly responded.
