"Roar, roar, roar!" The inmates released the fury in their hearts. There was no way to let it out completely, but if they could secure so human rights, like the ones Luo Zheng just ntioned, that would be a very good thing indeed. Everyone was filled with anticipation and longing, a touch of respect for Luo Zheng welled up within them. He was risking his life for everyone's rights. At this mont, they were extrely grateful to Luo Zheng.

Uniting the prisoners to challenge the prison authorities was a crucial part of Luo Zheng's plan. Kidnapping the police was just the beginning; demanding human rights was rely to win the prisoners' support. Only in this way could he avoid danger to his life, only this way could he have a chance to et with his people in Cell Block Nine, and only this way would there be a chance of escape in the future.

Luo Zheng's strategy was carefully planned, starting from the mont the head police officer was captured. The plan was set in motion, and what would happen next was unpredictable. If the inmates did not show their support, Luo Zheng's plan would beco a laughingstock. Fortunately, everything was within Luo Zheng's calculations. As for the warden not agreeing? That wasn't important now. As long as there was a good start, Luo Zheng had other ways to force the prison's hand.

In fact, Luo Zheng had overestimated the warden's capabilities. Faced with a riot of extrely vicious inmates, it was only verbal, but the pressure was imnse, and the warden was put in a difficult position. After so thought, the warden had no choice but to compromise, to deal with the issue for the ti being. Seeing that the warden had made a decision, Luo Zheng imdiately fired a shot into the sky.

The gunshot startled the inmates, who thought the police were going to play hardball, and they flared up, ready to resist. Then they heard Luo Zheng's shout, signaling them to be quiet. The previous roars were so loud that Luo Zheng had to use gunfire to stop them. Once they recognized Luo Zheng's voice, they quieted down.

The warden's face was so gloomy it seed it could drip water. The higher Luo Zheng's prestige, the worse it was for the prison authorities. There would be more trouble waiting in the future, but with the situation as it was, they could only take care of the present. The warden despised Song Yan, considering a way to put forward his demands later, possibly to get rid of this hot potato, and then coldly said, "Your demands are too high, it's impossible to agree to all of them. Going out for air twice an hour, for half an hour each ti, I can agree to that. The food issue can also be addressed, and mutual communication is fine too, but only in the hallway of your own floor. The other demands are impossible."

What Luo Zheng wanted was the ability to move around so that he could et with his people; everything else could be discussed. He didn't understand why the warden would only agree to communicate in the hallway of their own floor, why not the square or so other place? But the warden had already compromised, and making further demands could cause the negotiations to collapse, and he might lose the hard-earned support of the inmates.

The inmates, hearing the warden's compromise, imdiately beca excited, banging on the iron doors. It was a completely different scene from their earlier anger, each of them grinning from ear to ear. Most of their ti was spent locked in their cells, and they were nearly driven mad. Being able to communicate and move around, even just in the hallway of their own floor, was good enough.

The negotiation didn't et the expected demands, but it was acceptable. Seeing the situation was favorable, Luo Zheng slowly let go of the police officer and stepped back, coldly aiming his gun ahead to prevent any surprises. Once the police were free, they were livid. One of them sprinted to his comrades, grabbed a firearm, aid at Luo Zheng, and fired.

It all happened so suddenly and quickly, the warden hadn't even reacted, and no one tried to stop it. The gunfire sounded, the bullet roared towards Luo Zheng with endless fury, but Luo Zheng was prepared and twisted his body in a strange way just as the other fired, narrowly avoiding the shot.

"Bang!" Luo Zheng fired his gun too. Seeing the other side's aggressive retaliation, he naturally couldn't fall behind; otherwise, the negotiation would beco invalid, and he would be facing a massacre. When the opponent was tough, to ensure his rights, he had to be even tougher.

"Pfft!" The bullet tore into flesh, spurting a stream of blood, striking the officer's heart directly. Staring ahead dumbfounded, he felt his strength drain away in an instant, as life ebbed from him like a receding tide. His eyes, filled with disbelief and rage, glanced down at his bleeding heart, the world went dark as if he were plumting into an endless abyss, and then his body collapsed with a thud.

"Shoot, shoot them ruthlessly." The prison warden, the team leader of the police, was shot dead in an instant, throwing everything into chaos. Infuriated, he too drew his sidearm; the other officers, realizing what had happened, fired shafully into the room, but they used only rubber bullets, unlike the warden's live rounds.

Rapid gunfire piddled into the cell, but Luo Zheng had already ducked behind a man-high sandbag. Filled with iron sand, the rubber bullets couldn't penetrate it; Luo Zheng was safely ensconced behind it. He quickly checked his sidearm—four bullets left. He couldn't help but smile. Even if he were to die, he could still drag four with him. That would be enough.

"Roar!" Seeing the police attack Luo Zheng, the inmates thought the warden was going back on his word. They erupted in thunderous roars, banging on the iron doors. If the warden broke his promise, the hard-won rights they had been granted would vanish. Driven by fury, they howled and scread.

Hearing the convicts' raging roars, the warden snapped to his senses. If Luo Zheng were killed, the inmates would never agree to it. Besides, even with a hard assault, the casualties would be devastating. However, he couldn't just give up; the prison's authority had to be upheld. With a change of face, he bellowed at the other inmates, "Quiet down! The terms promised to you will be honored, but this man must be punished."

At these words, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Many stopped resisting; as long as their rights were secured, they didn't care about Luo Zheng's fate. But most people realized the warden was trying to divide and conquer, and they continued to roar in anger. Exasperated and embarrassed, the warden shouted, "Tear gas!"

Two tear gas canisters were lobbed into the cell. Luo Zheng, with his sharp reflexes, dashed forward, kicking them through the gap in the steel bars and out into the corridor. After successfully repelling the gas, he quickly dampened a towel with water and covered his mouth, calmly assessing the iron door before him. As another officer attempted to throw in more tear gas, Luo Zheng raised his hand and fired. At such a short range, he was confident of hitting his mark every ti.

"Pfft!" The bullet instantly hit the officer's head; the officer didn't even get the chance to grunt before collapsing, lifeless. This left the surrounding officers wide-eyed and panicked.

The warden's face turned to ice, unable to comprehend how many bullets Luo Zheng still had. Two officers were already dead, and if they continued, more would die—sothing he could not accept. What to do?

"Co on, if you're not afraid of dying, co over here," Luo Zheng bellowed, his voice filled with murderous rage and fury, traveling far. The inmates in the surrounding cells heard this roar, were moved by it, and beca frenetic. Shouting loudly, those who lost control of their emotions started to dismantle their wooden bunks, passing the planks through the gaps in the bars to hurl them outside. Soon, more people began to furiously dismantle their beds, and the mood completely spiraled out of control.
