Under the moonlight, the Snow Bear Special Forces, with sleds under their feet, whooshed forward at a breakneck speed, especially downhill, as if they were flying. After landing smoothly, they continued to slide forward, navigating various terrains as if treading on flat ground. In the dark of night, they resembled attacking beasts — fierce, decisive, and swift.

In the middle of the night, the mbers of the Snow Bear Special Forces had no choice but to carry their sleds on their backs, because although sleds could move downhill, they could not climb uphill. This ant that everyone had to bear much heavier weights, making it very strenuous to walk. So simply tied their belongings to the sleds, fashioned a harness, and dragged the equipnt along.

The colonel looked at the towering snow-capped mountains with clenched teeth in anger. It would have been better to walk through the canyon, but instead, they chose the high mountains, these bastards. As they proceeded slowly and aggravatingly slow, the colonel desperately wished to catch the target and trample them underfoot. As the slopes beca steeper, the sleds could no longer be dragged and had to be carried by all. Carrying such heavy supplies beca increasingly difficult, but in these deserted highlands, to leave the supplies ant death. There was no choice but to persist with gritted teeth.

A few hours later, the team climbed up the snow mountain only to find that beyond the flat ridge, there were still more high mountains, which angered everyone. They cursed loudly, questioning why these bastards chose to walk towards the summit instead of sticking to the valley. Their curses filled the air with resentnt, and the negative emotions eroded their minds, invisibly accelerating their physical exhaustion.

By daybreak, everyone arrived at the canyon according to the coordinates and began to take cover. The colonel quickly located the snow cave based on the coordinates provided by the headquarters. Despite the overnight snowstorm that left no visible signs of excavation, the entrance was still discernible, filled with white snow. The colonel imdiately signaled the team to spread out and conceal themselves.

Soon, the colonel realized he was two kiloters away from the snow cave. This distance was manageable under good shooting conditions, but in this canyon, effective sniping was not feasible. The whistling wind, combined with snow reflecting the sunlight, easily caused visual illusions, making it difficult to target accurately.

After observing the surrounding terrain for a while, the colonel noted that the snow cave was on the opposite slope with the canyon in between, making a direct assault impossible. A flanking maneuver was feasible but would take an hour to circle around. In that hour, anything could happen. His expression turned stern as he admired the target's choice of location, recognizing them as a master of snow warfare. Yet, the colonel did not give up and imdiately signaled his troops.

A few soldiers began to flank the target from both sides. The colonel patiently waited while eating sothing to replenish his strength. An hour later, the soldiers who had flanked to both sides were in position. The colonel ordered everyone to lock down the snow cave, not to rush to fire. He then led the remaining few people down the cliff to the canyon, then up the slope.

Half an hour later, the colonel approached the snow cave, his face full of confusion. One and a half hours had passed, and there was no sign of movent from the snow cave. Could everyone inside have frozen to death? He pondered the possibility — surviving overnight in the icy world of snow and ice, even hidden in a snow cave, would be difficult.

Thinking this, the colonel sneered, imdiately signaling one person to sneak up and check, while the others aid, ready to provide cover fire. The soldier cautiously approached the snow cave, squatting down to inspect, feeling based on his experience that there was no one inside, but hesitating to state it outright, then approached the entrance and carefully called out. Seeing no response, he was more convinced of his judgnt and crawled into the snow cave.

"Boom!" A loud explosion erupted, snow flying wildly, mixed with a scream, as a figure plumted from the swirling snow, bloodied and covered in severed limbs and flesh, staining the pristine snow red, adding a grim eeriness.

"Ah?" the colonel exclaid, instantly realizing he had been tricked. Not only had he wasted an hour and a half, missing the optimal ti for pursuit, but he had also lost a brother. Now, with footprints on the snowy ground obscured by drifting snow, how could he possibly continue the chase?

"Communications!" the colonel roared at the communications officer with a face ashen as iron, guilt and regret filling his heart. He acknowledged the enemy's superior tactics, their ability to plant grenades without his n noticing, and realized he had indeed underestimated them.

"It's not too late." The colonel swore to himself that he would capture this group. After the communications officer arrived, the colonel contacted headquarters to learn the target's escape route, but headquarters didn't know either and asked everyone to wait while they checked imdiately.

After a wait of more than ten minutes, Arctic Bear Country located Luo Zheng's whereabouts through satellite surveillance and provided the coordinates to the colonel. After confirming the coordinates and route on his GPS, the colonel gathered his n with a chilling expression, "Brothers, we underestimated the enemy. They planted grenades without us noticing. It was clever, so let's take this seriously and give this enemy the respect they deserve."

"Yes," the n responded in unison, their expressions becoming grave.

"According to the coordinates, the target headed west along the ridge. Let's move out, and catch that damned bastard, I swear I'll skin him. Let's go," the colonel said, his expression turning icy.

The team swiftly got into action. They climbed to the top of the mountain and followed the ridge forward. The ridge was undulating and the ground relatively flat but narrow with steep peaks on both sides—falling off would be disastrous. They dared not use sledges, and thus, not having them actually hindered their pace.

The colonel wanted to order his n to abandon the sledges and march lightly and quickly, but he worried they might need them later. Torn between the two options, he decided to keep them nonetheless. This slowed their speed significantly, and they could only continue the pursuit by receiving new positional coordinates from headquarters.

Luo Zheng had anticipated that Arctic Bear would use sledges for transportation. Otherwise, he wouldn't have endured the pain of the cold wind on the ridge and would have chosen the more sheltered mountain flanks. After leaving the snow cave, his team marched rapidly, with Luo Zheng occasionally looking up at the sky. With satellites in operation, evading their pursuers entirely was impossible; they were only buying ti.

"It looks like it's going to snow." Lan Xue looked at the thick, grey clouds, a sign of impending snow, and her expression soured. The weather was already severe enough; if it started snowing, how would they survive? She turned to Luo Zheng and asked, "Any new ideas?"

"The enemy is definitely behind us. We have to find a way to fight back and hit them hard," Luo Zheng said loudly, his voice clear over the howling wind and reaching everyone's earpieces.

At this, everyone's eyes lit up.
