"Boom!" A huge explosion resounded, shaking the earth and the mountains.

The missile exploded at the location of the snow cave, shaking the entire slope. A massive red light burst forth, swallowing up all the white snow on the slope, and the powerful sound of the explosion echoed in the surrounding valleys for a long ti before dissipating. Smoke spread, shrouding the sky above the slope as if countless demons were dancing and sneering.

Luo Zheng and the others watched this scene with their eyes wide and mouths agape, breaking out in a cold sweat. If they had been ten minutes later, they might not have survived. Before they could recover, they saw the ice and snow on the surrounding mountain peaks begin to collapse, rolling down and creating a huge roaring noise, as if the missile had just exploded again.

The roaring sound produced powerful shockwaves, that, reflected and amplified by the ice and snow, caused more of the mountain's ice and snow to slide and collapse. Even the snowy mountain where they were taking refuge began to cave in. Everyone watched this scene with shock written on their faces, feeling goosebumps all over their scalp, and lay tightly on the ground, not daring to move.

Several peaks avalanched, and the roaring sound rolled on, echoing through the valley and forming a low-frequency sonic boom that made everyone's eardrums buzz and their brains throb with pain. They covered their ears in terror, opened their mouths wide to reduce the impact of the blast waves, and were exceedingly frightened. They had thought of explosions and avalanches, but had not expected when they ca, they would be so powerful and destructive. Thankfully, they were on the peak of the mountain; had they been on the mountainside or in the valley, they would have had no chance of survival.

"Rumble rumble!" The sound of the avalanche grew louder and louder, like a cavalry charge or a tsunami's roar. Countless pieces of ice and snow tumbled down, while snowflakes danced in the sky, filling the space between heaven and earth. The avalanche brought with it a fierce wind that swept up the ice and snow, and it was utterly terrifying.

Luo Zheng and the others lay tightly on the mountain peak. The fierce wind, filled with ice and snow, made it impossible to open their eyes, but thankfully they wore sunglasses. Their bodies, weighed down with tens of kilograms of equipnt, were not blown away but were nonetheless in grave danger. Luo Zheng quickly wrapped his arms around Lan Xue, patting the others. Everyone understood and ford a circle, arm in arm, clinging tightly to the clothes on the back of their comrades, supporting each other.

Once the five of them ford a circle, they finally stabilized. They dared not move, squatting down to fend off the howling wind and flying ice and snow, enduring as the ice and snow battered their bodies, unwilling to stir, clenched their teeth to endure, knowing that a single mont of relaxation could send them rolling down the cliff to certain death.

Having witnessed the terrifying power of the avalanche, they felt that the explosion of the missile was nothing in comparison. The missile explosion had a specific range, but avalanches were indiscriminate and unpredictable. No one knew how large they could be or which mountain peaks would avalanche. As their faces turned pale, they would occasionally let out roars to encourage each other and grit their teeth to hold on.

After about ten minutes, the avalanche finally stopped. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, slumping to the ground, gasping for air. They looked at each other and exchanged knowing smiles, a surge of elation at having survived the ordeal bubbling up inside them.

After a while, once their emotions had gradually stabilized, Luo Zheng looked around. His face, once frightened, now grew solemn once again. Seeing this expression, everyone realized sothing was amiss and grew worried. Lan Xue was about to ask when Luo Zheng suddenly said, "Missiles, avalanches, I believe Arctic Bear is currently trying to confirm whether we're dead."

"What do you an?" Lan Xue asked in surprise.

"We should spread out and conceal ourselves on the spot, disguising as piles of snow. Although the avalanche occurred, not all the snow on the mountain tops rolled down. There are still quite a few piles of snow up there. If we blend in, it won't be easy for us to be discovered. We can wait until it gets dark before making any moves," Luo Zheng said with a solemn expression.

As soon as everyone heard this, they quickly realized that the Arctic Bear Country had a tough style but was inherently cautious and suspicious. Even though they had missiles and there had been an avalanche, they would definitely use satellites to confirm whether everyone was dead. As long as the camouflage was well done and the surveillance evaded, the Arctic Bear would think everyone had perished, and the rest would be much easier to handle.

Everyone lay down on the spot and slowly crawled away to take cover.

Just as Luo Zheng had guessed, the Arctic Bear Country was indeed confirming whether everyone had died. Two satellites swept back and forth, not missing any detail. The Snow Bear Team's ten elite mbers had been sacrificed, and the loss of face was significant. If they didn't regain so of that pride, it would be hard to explain to everyone back ho.

Almost at the sa ti, Huaxia Country was also monitoring through their satellites. Wu Jin, in the information command center, watched the massive avalanche after the missile strike through a giant electronic screen, his resolute face turning deathly pale. His fists clenched, the complete elimination of a Snow Bear Team without a single injury during the direct confrontation had thrilled him. He hadn't expected a missile attack and avalanche to follow.

"Who can tell if they left that snow cave?" Wu Jin asked with a mixture of shock and anger, almost roaring. If they were in the snow cave when the missiles struck, combined with the avalanche, there would be almost no chance of survival. How Wu Jin wished soone could tell him that Luo Zheng and the others had left early.

All the information personnel looked at each other, unsure of what to say, their faces twisting in pain. Luo Zheng and the others had fought a bloody battle against the Snow Bear Team, holding their own against twice their number without a scratch. Everyone was still in the excitent of that admiration. A person's reputation, like a tree's bark, was known to all, and the combat capabilities of the Snow Bear were no secret. This victory had elated everyone, and no one had anticipated such a sudden reversal of fortune, with missiles and an avalanche making optimistic outcos unlikely.

Wu Jin's face was filled with sorrow as he stared blankly at the electronic screen switching between different views of the icy and snowy ground, unable to see any sign of people. His firm heart began to panic. How could he explain the loss of his beloved subordinates to the old chief? Thinking of Mr. Li's grief upon hearing the news of Lan Xue and the others' sacrifice, Wu Jin felt an overwhelming pain and roared, "Hurry, find them imdiately! I want them alive or their bodies if they are dead!"

Everyone promptly responded and sprang into action, not daring to offer words of comfort while Wu Jin was in such a vulnerable state. As Wu Jin had said, beside him, Wu Miao also stared intently at the screen, her face filled with disbelief, unable to grasp what she was seeing. How could they just vanish into thin air? It was impossible, absolutely impossible. Seizing Wu Jin's hand in a panic, she blurted out, "I believe they're still alive. Hurry, we must find a way to save them."

"I know," Wu Jin's emotions gradually steadied. He replayed the recent events in his mind and sorrowfully realized that if Luo Zheng and the others had not left the snow cave, they would have certainly died. With a face etched in sorrow, he said, "They are heroes, our pride, and I will bring them ho."

Upon hearing these words and contemplating that Luo Zheng might have died just like that, Wu Miao's face turned ashen. Suddenly, her vision went dark, and she fainted.
