The moon erged from behind the dark clouds, its cold light casting a silver veil over the earth. Luo Zheng concealed himself on the rooftop, coldly observing the dim grey entrance ahead. The target staggered and fell, unclear as to where he was hit. Luo Zheng's spirit lifted; he swiftly fired again, sending another three bullets whistling away. Through the sniper scope, Luo Zheng saw the enemy rolling to stand up. The direction of the roll matched his calculations precisely, prompting joy. He saw the enemy's head suddenly jerk back mid-raise, a spurt of blood rising against the moonlight, knew that the enemy was hit in the forehead, and rejoiced.

The target lay still, but Luo Zheng heard footsteps on the stairs, indicating the enemy had infiltrated from the back. They hadn't heard the sound of the neighboring garage door. The car's excellent performance ant the engine noise was subdued, slipping out without alerting the enemies in the living room firefight.

He rushed to the second-floor corridor, seeing Hong ihua and the others managing a hard-fought defensive exchange of fire, temporarily holding back the enemy attack.

Taking a couple of steps with raised arms, he leaned against the wall. After an uneventful pause, he moved tentatively further.

Luo Zheng keenly picked up on the footsteps, making several hand signals instructing everyone to hold fire. Slowly extending his hand, estimating the enemy's position, he quickly poked his gun barrel around the corner and decisively pulled the trigger thrice, retracting his hand without checking his aim.

The stairwell enemy saw the hand erge, quickly aiming and firing, but it was too late. Luo Zheng had retracted after shooting, barely evading the enemy's gunfire. Realizing the enemy was now drawn to him, he grinned as dense bullets struck the corner, signaling the attack with a sharp downward chop of his hand.
