"Shi Tao." Luo Zheng continued to roar, his voice piercing through the torrential rain, reaching far beyond.
"Boom!" Before Shi Tao could respond, an RPG whistled in, tearing through the rain-soaked space, flipping and blasting a military vehicle. The guards hiding behind the vehicle imdiately fell into chaos, scattering in search of cover.
Luo Zheng's tiger-like eyes narrowed tightly, coldly watching the scene unfold. Noticing the highway embanknt behind him sloped down, it was a camouflage spot, but considering the enemy's attack from the front, this slope was definitely a factor they hadn't overlooked.
"Report, Shi Tao has arrived. Awaiting instructions." Shi Tao rushed in like a gust of wind, yelling loudly despite the rain battering his face, his entire being exuding intense heat, as if a sky-high killing intent emanated from him.
"Get the platoon-level officers of the guard unit over here imdiately." Luo Zheng roared furiously.
"Da da da!" Suddenly, an intense burst of gunfire rang out.
Luo Zheng turned his head to see several guard unit soldiers sprinting up the slope when abruptly, three fierce streams of gunfire erged from below, striking down all ten individuals to the ground, their fate unknown. Luo Zheng beca enraged, his eyes almost bursting with fury, angrily punching the vehicle body, roaring, "Bastards, hurry!"
"Yes." Shi Tao saw it too, his face turned steel-gray, eyes burning with anger, he roared and dashed away urgently.
Luo Zheng grabbed Shijing Chun's collar, lifted him entirely, pressed him against the vehicle, pinched Shijing Chun's philtrum to awaken him, then coldly shouted, "Your plot succeeded, are you happy now? Open your eyes and take a look, see the fruits of your victory."
"Hahahaha, it's all because of you. Without you, we wouldn't have done this. Their deaths should be counted on you. The Demon Extermination operation has begun." Shijing Chun defiantly retorted loudly, suddenly raising his voice by eight decibels, shouting in Japanese, "The devil is with , fire at !"
"Dammit—dead!" Luo Zheng roared, realizing the violent action targeted him, grabbed Shijing Chun as a shield, and sprinted madly towards the back of the convoy without hesitation, the sound of bullets hitting the car ringing by his ears, clearly, Shijing Chun's alert had caught the enemy's attention.
Suddenly, Luo Zheng's heart tightened, instinctively lunging forward. A scream echoed in his ears, and without ti to observe, he dragged Shijing Chun up quickly, charging forward a few steps, hiding beside a military truck tire, squatting down. Only then did Luo Zheng discover Shijing Chun had been shot in the back, his expression couldn't help but stiffen, coldly saying, "Don't get too smug, they even kill you the sa way."
"I know, so what? I'm already captured, my identity exposed, my life is ruined, and taking you down with temporarily is a blessing." Shijing Chun sneered smugly.
"You're not qualified to take down." Luo Zheng said coldly, seeing several figures rushing over, he delivered a hand chop knocking Shijing Chun unconscious, tossing him aside.
Three figures dashed up, crouching around Luo Zheng, eyes freezing cold, bodies full of killing intent, it was Shi Tao and three guard unit platoon officers. Luo Zheng glanced at them, his gaze sweeping over their heads, observing front and back for a while, seeing that the soldiers were prone, using the vehicle for cover, the rain at night affecting their vision, also obscuring the enemy's whereabouts. No one moved chaotically, nor did they fire randomly, awaiting orders.
After the chaos just now, this unit cald down, showing decent military quality, Luo Zheng sighed in relief, retracting his gaze, focusing on them coldly, saying, "Enemies on both sides, staying prone on the road isn't sustainable, once they attack, we're passive. Imdiately move the vehicles, form a circular formation, additionally, imdiately establish contact with the outside, call for reinforcents."
"Report." A platoon leader shouted sternly.
"Yes." Luo Zheng shouted, unease welling up inside.
"Already contacted, no signal, the signal's been jamd by the enemy." The platoon leader quickly reported.
Upon hearing this, Luo Zheng realized there was indeed trouble, his tiger-like eyes narrowed tightly, contemplating briefly then continuing, "Then counterattack, the rain obscures vision, disadvantageous to us, also the enemy alike. They definitely didn't expect us to counterattack in this scenario instead of cautiously holding for reinforcents."
"Yes." Everyone responded sternly.
"Shi Tao, Niu Gang has led the group attacking rightwards, we're attacking right, you lead as the attack spearhead, you follow closely, responsible for firecover." Luo Zheng said, patting a platoon leader's shoulder.
"Yes." Shi Tao and the platoon leader shouted in unison.
"You two flank defensive, maintain spearhead assault posture, ensure dense fire suppresses the enemy, breakout from siege first. Enemy headcount unclear, see that hill on the right? We charge over, seize the hilltop, hold for reinforcents." Luo Zheng coldly commanded.
Everyone looked towards the direction Luo Zheng pointed, indeed a hill was about two kiloters away, hill not high, elevation only fifty to sixty ters or so, under the rain barely discernible outline, all nodded in agreent, gazes coldly fixed on Luo Zheng.
"Bring the prisoners and fallen comrades along, if prisoners resist, execute on the spot, two minutes to prepare, get ready." Luo Zheng roared fiercely, his voice swirling with endless killing intent in the rain, echoing all around. Upon hearing Luo Zheng's rage, the soldiers felt settled inexplicably.
"Yes!" Several shouted explosively, spreading out, commanding their own troops.
Luo Zheng glanced at the knocked-out Shijing Chun, quickly pulled out his sidearm, chambered a bullet, his chilling gaze directed rightwards, where intermittent gunshots sounded, presumably Niu Gang's group engaging the enemy. At this mont, another RPG roared in with terrifying authority, blasting a car.
This car was the one Luo Zheng sat in earlier, the enemy rely relying on Shijing Chun's vocal alert accurately judged the position, evidently an expert. Luo Zheng's body emitted even denser killing intent, his body temperature evaporating rainwater, forming a white mist, as if flas of rage were burning.
Two minutes passed quickly, Luo Zheng roared fiercely, full of wrath, "Brothers, this is our holand, a place we've sworn to protect, now, our land is being trampled, as soldiers, it's our sha, only the enemy's blood can cleanse this sha, now, I order you, charge forward, annihilate this bunch of bastards!"
"Kill!" Luo Zheng's words awakened everyone's fervor and responsibility, each yelling wildly, launching a charge under the officers' command, weapons roaring at suspicious positions, venting inner dissatisfaction.
