Viella’s POV
Next thing I know? Boom. I’m abducted.
By who? Oh, just my so-called fiancé. Dante Freaking Velerio Moretti.
Ngl, back then, I used to think-wow, maybe it’ll be fun to get "kidnapped" by a hot mafia boss who’s obsessed with . Y’know, like one of those Wattpad tropes where the girl ends up mid-flight and falling in love?
Yeah. Spoiler alert: It’s NOT fun.
It’s handcuffs cutting into my wrists, cold leather seats, and glaring at him across a private jet while he’s on so boring business call like nothing’s wrong. Like, hello?? Sir?? You just KIDNAPPED .
Tsk. n.
I glanced around. Fancy leather, champagne in buckets, polished tables. Private jet things. Rich people things. anwhile, ? Just trying not to die of boredom.
So I did the most logical thing ever.
"Shoo... pspsps..."
His head snapped up, eyes narrowing. "What are you doing?"
"Uh." I grinned, leaning back. "I was bored."
Dante sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Where’s Lily? Did you bring her too?"
"You’ll et her soon. Now sit silently."
Excuse ??? Sit silently??
I pouted, glaring daggers at him. This bitc-
"At least untie . It’s painful, you know." I wiggled my wrists dramatically.
He didn’t even look up from his papers. "So what? You’ll jump out midair and land directly in heaven?"
My jaw dropped. "Oh, so you think I’m dumb?"
His eyes flicked up. "Dumb enough to fake your own death. Yes."
OUCH. Low blow, sir. LOW. BLOW.
I glared so hard my eyeballs hurt, but he just smirked, going right back to his call. Only thing was-his gaze never left . Every ti I squird, pouted, or rolled my eyes, his eyes followed
Finally, after ten whole minutes (felt like ten years), he hung up.
"Finallyyy." I slouched. "Hey. Wanna play Truth or dare?"
His brows furrowed. "...Play what?"
I gasped, clutching my chest. "What do you an ’play what’? You don’t know T or D?!"
"T or-what?"
"Truth or Dare, Dante! Oh right-you only know how to kill people, not have fun."
He rolled his eyes.
But when I explained the rules, he actually agreed. Color shocked.
"T or D?" I asked eagerly.
"T."
I leaned forward. "Why are you interested in all of a sudden?"
His answer was instant. "Because you’re interesting."
....Excuse ?
I blinked, brain buffering, but before I could comnt he added, "My turn. T or D?"
"T."
His lips curved, eyes gleaming. "Why are you not interested in all of a sudden?"
Uh oh.
I crossed my arms and smirked. "Because you’re no longer interesting."
He inhaled sharply through his nose, jaw ticking Oops. Did I just... piss off the mafia boss? Good job, Viella. RIP .
I tried to brush it off. "T or D?"
"T."
"Okay..." I grinned mischievously. "You were interested in Alina, right? What happened suddenly?"
For the first ti, Dante’s face seems confused.
"...Alina?" His tone was flat.
I nodded, eyes wide. "Yes Alina. That maid! You forgot? You literally bought her that night. The day after our engagent."
He stilled.
"Ohhh, now you rember." I leaned back. "Yeah, that girl."
Sothing in his expression shifted. His gaze turned darker, heavier. He muttered, "Oh... that girl, I-"
And then he stopped.
"Uh... you okay?" I asked carefully.
He didn’t answer. He just pressed his fingers against his temple like his head suddenly hurt. Then, without warning, he stood up-
"Wha-hey, what’re you doing-"
In three steps, he was towering over . Leaning close. His face inches from mine. His cologne drowning .
My breath hitched.
He bent down... his hand reaching...
And then-he untied .
The ropes fell from my wrists.
My eyes widened. "Uh... thanks?"
But before I could even blink, he straightened, turned, and walked away.
I stared at his back, brain fried. "HELLO?? The heck was that?! What about our ga?My answers? Hey!!"
No response. Just silence.
I slumped against the seat, rubbing my sore wrists. "...Okay. That was weird."
My gut twisted. Sothing was off. Way off.
I bit my lip. "I definitely need to investigate this."
---
The flight was too long. Way, way too long. At so point, I gave up on glaring at the ceiling and surrendered to my stomach.
Those lobsters were Too good.
? Ate way too much.
Resulting...Food coma.
So yeah. Boom. Sleep.
...
But the mont I opened my eyes-
"Wait... where the hell am I?"
This didn’t look like my room. Actually, scratch that-this wasn’t ANY room I recognized. Then the mories rushed in. Ugh don’t tell ...
I looked down.
Different clothes.
EXCUSE ?!
"Uh... hello??" My voice cracked as I yanked the hem of the soft silk dress I DEFINITELY had different clothes on
I ran to the door, twisted the knob-LOCKED.
Of course.
"DANTE VELERIO MORETTI!!!" I scread with all my strength, like so mad woman. My lungs nearly broke.
"OPEN THIS DAMN DOOR, YOU KIDNAPPER, OBSESSION-COLLECTING, CONTROL-FREAK BASTARD!"
Silence.
So naturally, I kicked the door.
"Ouch-ouch-ahhhhhh this HURTS!" I grabbed my poor foot, hopping around like a maniac. Okay maybe kicking door wasn’t the smartest idea.
And then-finally-the door clicked.
It opened slowly.
And there he was.
The devil himself.
Dante.
Hair ssy, sleeves rolled up, plain white shirt with the top few buttons undone-
Ahem. Look away, Viella. Look. Away.
I forced my face into a glare. "You-!!" I pointed dramatically, ignoring the fact that my ears were burning. "DID YOU CHANGED MY CLOTHES WHILE I WAS SLEEPING?!"
His lips twitched into the faintest smirk. "You think I’d let anyone else touch you? and let them see whats underneath those close? Only i have the right to see."
...
Pause.
My face started heating up.
No. No. NO. Don’t tell -
"Don’t tell ... you saw my-"
Dante’s lips curled into that slow, evil smirk.
OH. MY. GOD.
"YOUUUUUU-AHHHHHH!" I screeched, shoving my palms against his chest with all my strength. He barely even moved (because duh, muscles), but out of pure rage. I managed to push him out the door.
SLA
LOCK.
I leaned against the door, chest heaving
"WTFFF AHHHH I’M GONNA DIEEE OUTTA EMBARRASSNT!!" I covered my face with both hands, collapsing to the floor
Sowhere outside, I swore I heard a low chuckle. That bastard was enjoying this.
I groaned into my hands, rolling dramatically on the carpet. "Dante Velerio Moretti, I hope you choke on your stupid cufflinks."
After finally calming my poor fried brain, I dragged myself up and looked around the room properly.
And that’s when I froze.
Everything.
The the, the décor, the colors-it wasn’t Viella’s taste. It was... mine.
My jaw dropped. "No freaking way..."
I darted to the closet, flinging the doors open. Dresses. Shoes. Accessories. All lined up neatly.
And not Viella’s wardrobe full of villainess gowns and poison-colored silks.
No.
This was MY style. My taste. Exactly the colors and cuts I liked. The length I usually wore. Even the stupid details I thought no one noticed-like my preference for softer fabrics and pastel shades.
I held up a dress with trembling hands. "Did this psycho... literally stalk my shopping cart history?!"
A knock rattled against the door.
I rolled my eyes. "I don’t wanna see your face, Dante-"
"Lady, it’s ."
I froze.
"...Lily?!"
I bolted to the door and flung it open. There she was-my sweet, angel-faced maid, standing with a neatly folded clothes. MY CLOTHES in her arms.
I threw myself at her, hugging her so tight she almost dropped everything. "THANK. GOD. You took them away from that creepy ass-"
Her brows furrowed. "Uh... who?"
I pulled back dramatically, hands gripping her shoulders. "That shitty Dante!!!"
Lily blinked. "...Uh, Lady. Lord Dante told to change your clothes, wash them, and then return them to your room."
My entire brain blue-screened.
"...Wait... waitwaitwait..." My eyes widened. "DOES THAT AN-"
It hit
"HE WAS TEASING . OH. MY. GODDDDD!!!"
Lily tilted her head, confusion written all over her face. "??"
I waved my hands frantically. "Forget it! Also, what the heck, Lily?! I thought you were supposed to follow my orders, not his!!"
She straightened her posture, tone as calm as ever. "He paid double."
...
"ARE YOU KIDDING ?!" My eyes twitched violently. "So your first love ISN’T loyalty, it’s MONEY?!"
She bowed politely, utterly unbothered. "Apologies, Lady. Business is business."
And with that, my "loyal" maid walked out, leaving alone with my betrayal.
I dropped onto the bed, clutching a pillow dramatically. "Tsk... I knew it. Her first love was money, not . Should’ve seen it coming."
Before I could wallow in my soap opera mont, the door opened again.
And in strolled Dante.
Of course.
Behind him, another maid followed with a tray of steaming dishes. My nose betrayed first-it slled delicious.
I raised my brow high, ready to unleash hell over my earlier humiliation. But before I could even get a word out-
"Eat up." His voice was low, commanding. "After that, you can roam around more. I’ll leave for a eting now."
He adjusted his cufflinks, then flicked his eyes at . "And don’t even think about running away."
My lips twitched violently. "The heck-you gonna keep here or what?! HUH?! I wanna return to my house!"
He moved closer. Closer. Until his shadow lood over , his eyes burning into mine.
"This is your house from now on," he murmured, his voice sliding into my bones. "Get used to it."
"WAHHHHHHT?!" I screeched so loud
He leaned down, lips brushing close to my ear, his large hand suddenly clamping over my mouth to shut up.
"By the way," his voice dipped, smug and teasing, "you were adorable when you got all embarrassed and red earlier."
I froze.
...HE DID NOT JUST-
The maid by the door turned red, bowing her head to hide her face.
anwhile, I was ready to combust on the spot.
"MMMMMPHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" I scread into his palm, glaring so hard my eyes might set him on fire.
anwhile he leaned in and kissed on his back of the hand exactly where my lips were located, our eyes t, I could feel my ears turn red.
He finally pulled back, that devilish smirk plastered on his face as he straightened.
"Don’t forget what I said," Dante added smoothly, turning toward the door. "Consider this a warning."
And then he left, just like that-untouchable, smug, and way too satisfied with himself.
The door clicked shut.
I collapsed onto the bed, kicking my feet like a furious toddler. "TSK. STUPID. ARROGANT. HOT. DEVIL."
The maid bowed politely and set the tray on the table.
I squinted. She looked... unfamiliar.
"Um, hey. What’s your na?" I asked, tilting my head.
"It’s lisa, Lady Viella."
"Are you new here? Never seen you before."
She hesitated, then nodded. "Yes, Lady. All the maids have been replaced by Lord Dante."
I froze. "...What?"
The words dragged back to reality-reminding of Alina. My stomach twisted. Wait. Where is she?
"If you’ll excuse -"
"Hey!" I cut her off sharply. "Do you know a maid nad Alina? Was she replaced too?"
Her eyes widened slightly. "Alina? I think you an Lord Dante’s personal maid. She’s still here. Mostly taking care of his office work."
I let out a long breath I didn’t even realize I was holding. So, the female lead was still here. Thank god. The plot hadn’t completely collapsed-yet.
"Can you tell where she is now? I’d like to have a talk with her."
"Yes, Lady. I will inform her to et you."
"No-actually, never mind. Just tell where her room is."
She glanced at the tray, then back at . "Uh... your breakfast, Lady?"
"Food can wait."
Her hands tightened against her apron. "Please eat first, Lady, or I’ll be fired. Lord Dante instructed to make sure you finish."
I stared at the food. Then at her. Then at the food again. Ugh. The guilt trip worked.
"...Fine." I slumped into the chair. "But only because I don’t want you losing your job."
She bowed deeply and slipped out, leaving alone with my al.
I picked at the food half-heartedly, my thoughts already racing ahead. Hmm. I’ll just check Alina’s room myself. If she’s still the female lead, there has to be so kind of clue there.
My lips twisted. "But how co nothing changed between them when I left?"
I poked the fork into my food, chewing slowly but not really tasting anything. My mind was already running laps.
Alina.
I rembered so clearly-the last ti I saw her. She was practically glowing, rushing toward Dante, smiling like she had just won the lottery And Dante... he was obsessed. Utterly fixated on her like so deranged hawk
But now? Now he acted like he didn’t even rember her. Like she had been erased from his mory. The way his face changed when I brought up her na-it wasn’t normal.
My spoon clinked against the plate. What the hell is going on?
When I transmigrated the first ti, the plot was clear: Dante falls for the soft, innocent Alina, dumps , kills off in so brutal fashion, and boom-tragic villainess ending. That was supposed to be my fate. But this Dante-this mafia boss fiancé who just kidnapped and built a mansion to my taste-he wasn’t acting like the man obsessed with her anymore.
Instead, his eyes only followed .
I set the fork down and leaned back, frowning. "This is bad... so bad," I muttered. Because if the plot was shifting, it ant one thing: the rules I thought I knew were gone.
And then there was him.
Elias.
The na slid into my thoughts like a shadow. The mysterious guy who had helped once-who knew things no one else should’ve known. Things about .
If Dante was rewriting his obsession from Alina to , and if Elias was still lurking in the background... that ant I was no longer just avoiding death flags. I was stuck in a brand-new, unwritten story...
