Celeste Linden left sothing for him.

Ethan Barnes reached out and took the envelope, then opened it, and a photo fell out.

The photo showed Celeste Linden and Ethan’s father, both lying on a large hotel bed, Celeste tightly embraced by Ethan’s father.

At the bottom of the photo was a line of delicate handwriting from Celeste: "Don’t miss too much!"

Ethan looked at the photo and the line of writing over and over again until his eyes were bloodshot, sothing churning in his chest. Suddenly, he spat out a mouthful of blood.

"Young Master!" His subordinate was shocked.

Ethan’s expression was blank as he "swish-swish" tore the photo apart. "Celeste Linden, even if you escape to the ends of the earth, I will find you!"

...

The issues with the Barnes family were quickly resolved. Ethan’s father was buried, and Ethan set off for the western part of Westria, leaving this place behind, suppressing all the rumors and gradually letting them be forgotten.

Willow Crawford had always been keeping an eye on this matter. Until everything cald down, Miles Linden hadn’t co back to school.

Since his sister vanished, she hadn’t seen him again.

After that night, they still hadn’t t.

But now the coding competition was about to start.

Rachel Underwood said, "Willow, did Miles drop out of school? His sister’s disappearance must have hit him hard, and he probably doesn’t want to attend school anymore. But what about the coding competition? He’s supposed to represent our school."

Willow furrowed her delicate brows. She also knew the urgency of the coding competition, but knowing his temperant, she guessed he just didn’t want to participate.

What has he been doing these days?

Is he alright?

Willow’s mind was in turmoil, worried for him, yet she couldn’t bring herself to take out her phone and contact him proactively.

After school, Willow walked out of the campus, and just then, Miles’s old friend Zachary ca towards her.

"Campus belle Willow," Zachary called her.

Willow stopped in her tracks, "Hello."

"Campus belle Willow, Miles hasn’t been to school for days. Aren’t you worried about him?"

"He... is almost an adult. He should know what he’s doing. Worrying won’t help," Willow said insincerely.

"But his sister disappeared, and no one knows if she’s safe. Miles has depended on his sister since he was a child; she’s his only family in this world. Now that she’s abandoned him, he must be devastated."

Willow felt a sharp pain in her heart, like being stung by a bee. Yes, he must be very hurt.

"Campus belle Willow, his sister’s gone, and Miles has no ho. These days, he’s been drowning himself in alcohol at a bar. I’m worried his body won’t hold out if he continues like this."

"What, he’s been drinking at a bar all this ti?" Willow reacted.

"Yes, campus belle Willow, you should go see Miles. He can’t keep spiraling like this. You’re the only one who can bring him back to his senses."

Willow realized Zachary was asking her to find Miles because he’d gone drinking again.

The thought of him drinking made Willow unable to forgive what he’d done to her in a drunken state that night.

"I’m not going." Willow turned and left.

...

Willow got ho and started her howork, but she couldn’t focus, not absorbing a single word.

"Sister Willow! Sister Willow!" Vivi Xavier’s voice rang in her ears.

Willow snapped back to reality, "Vivi, what’s the matter?"

"It’s not what’s wrong with , it’s what’s wrong with you, Sister Willow. I’ve called you several tis, but you were lost in thought. What are you thinking about?" Vivi asked suspiciously.

Willow felt guilty, "I wasn’t daydreaming, it’s just... this math howork is too hard. I can’t do it."

Vivi glanced at the math problems beside Willow and believed her, thinking for a mont. "Sister Willow, you can’t afford to lag behind in one subject. How about I find a math tutor to help you after school every evening?"

"No need..."

"It’s decided." Vivi made the decision.

Willow finished her howork and went to take a shower. It was ten o’clock when she ca out, drying her damp hair with a towel, when her phone rang lodiously. She had a call.

Willow picked up the call, and Zachary’s anxious voice ca through quickly, "Campus belle Willow, hurry to the bar. Miles is dead drunk!"

Willow’s slender fingers curled into a fist, clutching the phone tightly, thinking, let him drink to death!

Angrily, Willow hung up the phone.

Don’t think about him.

Don’t care about him.

Let him be.

Willow lay on the bed, covering herself with the blanket.

Feeling thirsty, Vivi got up to pour a glass of water. Soon, she heard the door open; Willow had co out.

Willow was wearing pajamas underneath and had thrown a white coat over them, hurrying out.

"Hey, Sister Willow, where are you going so late?"

"Oh, Vivi, I have so things to do. You should get so sleep." Willow replied evasively, quickly running out.

...

At the bar.

Miles sat at the bar counter with a pile of empty bottles in front of him, while Zachary tried to persuade him, "Miles, stop drinking, you can’t keep this up."

Miles pushed Zachary away, continuing to gulp down his drink.

The pretty top student was there too, batting her eyes suggestively at Miles. "Miles, drinking like this is boring. Let’s do sothing more fun."

Miles glanced at the top student, "What do you want to do?"

"Co closer, I’ll tell you," the top student said.

Miles didn’t move.

Suddenly, the top student leaned over and gave Miles a firm kiss on the cheek.

Zachary shook his head; Miles’s romantic escapades were always thriving. At that mont, Zachary looked up and saw a slender figure at the bar’s entrance.

It’s over.

It’s over!

"Miles, stop fooling around, look who’s here!" Zachary quickly nudged Miles.

Miles looked up and saw Willow.

Willow was here!

Willow stood at the door, having arrived just in ti to see the pretty top student kiss him in the midst of the flashing lights and vibrant colors.

Willow turned and left.

"Hey, campus belle Willow!" Zachary realized this was bad. "Miles, campus belle Willow’s got the wrong idea. You’re done for. I told you not to drink so much... Hey, Miles!"

Miles’s handso figure had already vanished from sight.

...

Willow was ready to go ho, feeling like she’d made a fool of herself rushing over here. All that talk of spiraling and alcohol being harmful; to her, it seed like he was having a good ti.

Was this what he’d wanted her to see?

Soon, she heard familiar footsteps behind her; Miles had followed her.

Miles reached out, grabbed her slender wrist, and hoarsely called her na in a low voice, "Willow..."
