Water?

Morgan Ashworth glanced at the cup of water in her hand, then fondly ruffled her soft hair. "Feeling so tender towards already, pouring water for , looks like you’ll surely be a good wife who cherishes her husband."

"Who’s your wife?"

"You, Willow. You took such care of just now. Isn’t that enough to make you mine?" Morgan Ashworth said, subtly pinching her delicate hand.

He always knew her little hand was soft and smooth, but only just now did he realize how much pleasure it could bring him, making him feel alive or overwheld with bliss.

Willow Crawford looked normal, but her pupils were sowhat unfocused, as if she were being controlled.

Morgan Ashworth took the cup, then drank it down in one go.

Setting the empty cup aside, Morgan Ashworth took Willow Crawford’s small hand. "Willow, let’s get going."

"Oh." Willow Crawford chanically followed behind Morgan Ashworth.

Opening the door of the residence, both walked out. A group erged from the darkness ahead; Prince Rosen was here.

Morgan Ashworth suddenly halted. This hiding place was exceptionally hidden and shouldn’t have been exposed, unless...

Prince Rosen looked at Morgan Ashworth. "Lord Morgan, you seem surprised to see . Indeed, Lord Morgan leaves no flaws in his actions. Even if I turned the world upside down, it would be hard to find you here. Unless, I had an insider, and naturally, that insider is my fiancée, my first princess, the Princess of Alani, Willow Crawford!"

Willow Crawford?

Morgan Ashworth had a bad feeling these past few days, an instinctive sensitivity and premonition, but he’d never doubted Willow Crawford, not in the slightest.

She was his woman; she would never deceive him.

"Willow, what does Rosen an?" Morgan Ashworth looked at Willow Crawford.

Willow Crawford coldly withdrew her hand, facing Morgan Ashworth with an expressionless gaze. "Lord Morgan, don’t you understand what Rosen ans?"

"I don’t understand. Explain it to now!" Morgan Ashworth’s brow clouded over.

Willow Crawford sneered twice. "Lord Morgan, since you wish to hear it, I’ll explain thoroughly. This was all part of the plan devised by Rosen and !"

"That night you said you wanted to leave, I knew you couldn’t go. I was certain you’d co back looking for . I also guessed you’d take away at the birthday banquet, so Rosen and I took advantage and infiltrated your ranks. You broke with The rfolk Kingdom, lost your young master status, and ended up alone; this was the perfect opportunity. Rosen and I joined forces to eliminate you!"

"So, Morgan Ashworth, these past few days have all been an act, but clearly, you got swept into the role!"

Morgan Ashworth felt as if cold water had poured over him, chilling him to the bone. He could still vividly recall each mont of sweetness these past days, but now she tells him it was all acting.

How is that possible?

He doesn’t believe it!

Morgan Ashworth’s long, narrow eyes turned bloodshot, dimming as he pulled Willow Crawford’s hand again. "Willow, stop joking. Look, you’re still wearing the ring I gave you."

Prince Rosen’s gaze fell on Willow Crawford’s ring finger. A high-born princess wearing a cheap knotweed ring—it was ridiculous and absurd.

Yet, the clumsily woven knotweed ring on the slender, fair finger looked so fitting, surprisingly suiting her and looking vivid, seeming to be the best testimony of the youthful love between the boy and the girl.

Prince Rosen tightened his fingers, forced to admit he’d repeatedly pushed his fiancée towards another boy.

Willow Crawford looked at the knotweed ring on her finger, and suddenly countless images flashed through her mind, but they were too fast to hold onto.

Headache!

Such a headache!

"Willow, tell these aren’t true. I believe you."

Willow Crawford looked up at the boy in front of her, her lost pupils slowly focusing. This is... the boy she loves most.

"Lin..." Willow Crawford wanted to speak, but the next mont, that string of alluring bells rang in her ears again.

Headache.

She quickly held her head.

"Willow, what’s wrong?" Morgan Ashworth imdiately held her, utterly worried.

Willow Crawford closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, only cold indifference remained. Reaching out, she forcefully pushed Morgan Ashworth away. "Morgan, wake up! Haven’t I made it clear? This was all an act. I only used you. Every second with you was torture for . I feel disgusted!"

Morgan Ashworth stumbled backward, unexpected, blood-red pouring through his eyes, his pupils tearing in agony.

This girl was in his arms not long ago, beneath him. She truly could make him feel bliss one second, and hell the next.

He would give up everything for her.

He once loved her more than life itself.

"Willow," Prince Rosen spoke at this mont. "Co here, return to ."

Prince Rosen beckoned Willow Crawford over.

Willow Crawford stepped forward, heading towards Prince Rosen.

But Morgan Ashworth reached out, grabbing her slender wrist, shielding her behind him, and glanced coldly at Rosen. "She won’t go with you."

Rosen smirked. "Lord Morgan, Willow’s heart is no longer with you; she’s even betrayed you. Why do you still want such a woman?"

Morgan Ashworth pressed his thin lips, uttering one single word, "Want."

He said he wants her.

He truly wants her.

Prince Rosen paused, then said, "Lord Morgan, unfortunately, tonight it’s not up to you. To take Willow away, you need to see if you even have that capability."

Morgan Ashworth furrowed his brow, a sudden pain in his chest. Bitter blood surged up his throat, trickling from the corner of his lips.

"Lord Morgan, tonight you won’t just fail to take Willow, but you won’t leave with your own liberty either."

Morgan Ashworth realized sothing was wrong with his body; he’d been poisoned.

How was he poisoned?

The cup of water Willow handed him...

Morgan Ashworth turned his head in disbelief, looking at Willow. "Willow, did you poison ?"

Willow Crawford’s face remained cold, filled with chanical apathy. She looked at Morgan Ashworth: "That’s right, I poisoned the water. Herb of Heartbreak, deadly poison, and within minutes, your heart pulse will cease, even celestial intervention won’t save you."

She poisoned the cup with Herb of Heartbreak.

Ha.

Haha.

Morgan Ashworth still thought she was joking. How could she possibly do such a thing?

More and more blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. Morgan Ashworth didn’t want to appear so disheveled in front of Rosen, this rival in love, trying to wipe it but only sared more blood.

"Willow, have you ever... loved ?"
