Serena rushed over quickly, "Willow, do you want to see Morgan Ashworth?"
In fact, she had already guessed that Willow would et Morgan Ashworth. Since Morgan had already co and was waiting outside, how could she refuse?
They were two people deeply in love, yet endlessly rejecting each other.
"Yes, Mommy, I want to see him."
"Okay."
Willow touched her pale little face, "Mommy, do I look terrible now? I don’t want him to see like this. I want to put on so blush."
She was afraid Morgan Ashworth would know she’s ill, so she wanted to use blush to cover her pale complexion.
Serena nodded, "Okay, I’ll arrange it."
...
It started to rain outside. Eleven held a black umbrella and advised anxiously, "Master, Madam will not see you. Let’s not wait anymore. Getting wet in the rain isn’t good for your health, don’t let yourself get sick."
Morgan Ashworth showed no expression. He looked at the tightly closed door in front of him and said indifferently, "You don’t have to worry about my matters, leave now."
"Master."
"Leave."
Eleven could only close his mouth, but he continued to hold the umbrella for Morgan Ashworth. He really feared his master might collapse.
Morgan Ashworth had already made up his mind. He was definitely going to et Willow. He wanted to see just how cruel she could be to him.
Just then, the door in front "bood" open, and Willow stepped out.
Willow wore a white cape, her pure black hair loose, walking from the wind and rain. A maid held an umbrella for her. No matter how much Morgan Ashworth felt resentnt or hatred towards her, just one glance at her still stirred his heart.
He thought, this woman truly was his curse.
Now, she finally ca.
Willow walked up to Morgan Ashworth, and in the ti they hadn’t seen each other, he had beco much thinner. Yet his presence was still clean and elegant, with soft fringe of hair covering his handso eyes. He still faintly resembled the young Miles Linden from years ago.
Troubled by love, persistent in affection.
"Morgan Ashworth, I heard you wanted to see . I’m here now. If you have sothing to say, say it quickly." Willow feigned a frosty deanor.
Morgan Ashworth’s heart beca half-cold looking at her heartless appearance, "Willow, do you not want to see ?"
"Morgan Ashworth, look at yourself now, you have no fighting spirit, drowning in love affairs every day. You’ve lost the charisma that made fond and infatuated with you. Pull yourself together quickly; the way you are now disgusts ."
She said she hated him.
Oh.
Morgan Ashworth almost laughed. In fact, a low, hoarse laugh did roll out of his throat, but it seed more like self-mockery. He stepped forward and held Willow’s small hand, "Willow, co ho with . Once ho, I will strive to beco the person you like."
He was humbly begging, trying to retain her. Willow felt like a sharp knife had stabbed into her heart, causing imnse pain. It took all her strength to suppress the urge to embrace him and push him away cruelly.
"Morgan Ashworth, have you looked at what I gave you?"
She was referring to the divorce agreent.
Morgan Ashworth pressed his lips together, denying, "No, I haven’t seen anything. Willow, let’s go ho; we can start again."
Willow coldly withdrew her small hand, "You can’t even guarantee how long you’ll live. If you die, do you want our son to be fatherless, and I to be a living widow? Morgan Ashworth, is this the love you give ? How can your love be so selfish?"
Morgan Ashworth’s hand froze in mid-air, unable to move forward anymore.
He opened his mouth, wanting to say sothing, but couldn’t utter a word.
The night’s cold wind and raindrops hit his face, painfully, numbing him.
Just then, Willow took out a small embroidered box, "Morgan Ashworth, this is for you."
"What is this?"
"The third pill. As long as you take this pill, the poison in you will be cured, and you’ll have a healthy body from now on."
Morgan Ashworth did not reach out to take it, "I don’t want it."
Willow stiffened, "What did you say?"
"Did you not understand what I said? I don’t want this pill. Willow, the poison was your doing. Do you think curing ans you don’t owe anymore? I won’t let you succeed. I want you to feel guilty forever; I want you to always owe !" Morgan Ashworth shouted hoarsely, his eyes bloodshot.
The raindrops pounded down, as if tearing Willow’s heart in two, blood flowing endlessly. She only ever wanted to cure him, never expecting he would reject her pill.
"Morgan Ashworth, are you crazy? How could you be so obsessed with love that you’d even forgo your life to make feel guilty?"
"Willow, I told you," Morgan Ashworth stared at her intently, "I said you and the child are my life. Without you, I have no life left. Why would I care about a re pill!"
Willow never expected him to already be at such a frenzied, obstinate point. She thrust the box into Eleven’s hands, icily saying, "Do as you please; you don’t even want to live, no one can save you!"
Willow turned and walked away.
"Willow!" At that mont, Morgan Ashworth surged forward and hugged her from behind.
Willow paused in her steps.
Morgan Ashworth buried his handso face in her silky hair, painfully murmuring, "Willow, do you have so unspeakable secret?"
Willow’s heart tightened. Had he discovered sothing?
Just then, Morgan Ashworth spoke again, "Otherwise, why are you so cruel to ? I can’t believe this is you. Five years ago, you were bewitched; what about now? Have I gone a full circle only to co back to the starting point? Willow, do you know, this is the second ti you’ve abandoned ?"
"Every heart is made of flesh. Do you think if I don’t express my pain, it doesn’t exist? For five years, I kept trying to escape the nightmare and shadow of your abandonnt, but I never managed. I was always so insecure, always fearing you’d leave again."
"As it turns out, you did leave once more. The heart I’d just managed to piece back together was torn apart again by you into countless shreds, and it will never heal. After this, I’ll never have the courage to love again."
"Willow, you taught what love is, and now you’re teaching what it ans not to love."
Willow felt an intense heat inside her neck. She knew it was Morgan Ashworth’s tears.
He cried.
Willow’s heart was engulfed by fear and despair, more terrifying than the hate he’d borne when he wanted to strangle her five years ago. She feared his deep confession of love. She feared his humble pleas. She feared this might be the last ti. She feared she’d be killing the boy whose eyes and heart were filled with love for her.
