Morgan Ashworth didn’t receive a reply from the Crawford family, but instead, he received news that they were moving.

Morgan looked coldly at Eleven, "What did you say, moving?"

"Yes, Master; when we went to the Crawford family’s place, it was already vacant, not a single person inside."

Morgan’s large hands, resting by his sides, suddenly clenched into fists. They had taken Willow Crawford with them, and overnight, they vanished right under his nose.

Willow Crawford was gone.

"Master, the Crawford family left a ssage for you."

"What did they say?"

"The Crawford family said that in order to let Princess Willow rest and nurture her pregnancy in peace, they took her away to a more comfortable place. They hope you won’t search for them or disturb Princess Willow. Once she gives birth, they will naturally bring the child to you."

So they ant that in a few months, he would only get to see the child and not Willow, right?

Morgan’s eyes flashed with a few traces of crimson hostility. He raised his hand and swept all the papers off his desk onto the floor.

...

As her sister, Celeste Linden was not yet aware of what had happened. But she handed a photo to Morgan Ashworth, believing that her brother and Willow Crawford would gradually get better.

She understood her brother too well; he loved Willow deeply, and even though ti was tough, nothing could truly separate two people in love.

It was the Mid-Autumn Festival tonight, and Celeste took out her paintbrush to start her design. Ethan Barnes hadn’t visited her for so ti, and earlier she had even fought with that Glamour Belle. He said he would stay over there tonight, and Celeste was quite content with the peace and quiet.

She hoped he would never want to find her again and that she could live quietly in this place.

After bidding Morgan Ashworth farewell, Ethan Barnes returned to his study to work. Before he knew it, it was late at night when a "knock, knock" sounded at the door. Glamour’s sweet voice ca through, "King Hayden, have you finished working? It’s already very late; you should rest."

Ethan didn’t like being disturbed during work and imdiately frowned, "Co in."

Glamour happily opened the study door, "King Hayden~"

"Who gave you the permission to be noisy outside? Can’t you see I’m busy?" Ethan reprimanded unkindly.

Glamour’s face turned pale, and she felt a bit wronged, "King Hayden, but you said tonight you’d choose to stay with and rest."

Did he?

Ethan patted his forehead; he had completely forgotten about that.

"Got it; go back first, I’ll be there shortly."

"Yes, King Hayden~"

Glamour quickly returned to her room. She had already taken a long bath, making her body fragrant, and wore a beautiful and sexy sheer gown, ready for Ethan’s arrival.

However, she waited for a long, long ti, nearly falling asleep herself before the door finally opened, and Ethan arrived tardily.

"King Hayden, you’re finally here. Glamour has been waiting for you for long~" Glamour quickly approached, reaching out to help Ethan undress. "King Hayden, let help you undress. You should take a shower. If you want, I can join you; we can bathe together~"

Ethan directly pushed Glamour away, "I don’t need your service; just go to sleep by yourself."

What?

Glamour stiffened, was she going to be left alone again tonight?

"King Hayden, why won’t you touch ? Why even choose if you won’t? Why keep in your harem? I’ve had enough of this life; I don’t want to live like this anymore." Glamour said, feeling aggrieved.

Ethan wasn’t one to pity delicately, seeing Glamour’s teary-eyed look only made him narrow his eyes with danger, "If you’ve had enough of this life, then you can stop living it. There are plenty out there who would love to have it."

"King Hayden, I didn’t an it that way; I’m just genuinely in love with you, wishing to be yours. I..."

"Enough, I don’t have ti to listen to this," Ethan interrupted impatiently. He had no interest in listening to such confessions, "What does it matter to if you people like ? There are so many who do; should I accommodate everyone?"

Glamour, "..." She had no words to counter that.

"If you’re smart, shut your mouth. If you don’t want this life, then get out." With that, Ethan walked straight into the bathroom.

He went to take a cold shower, the sound of rushing water echoing out. Glamour watched the tightly closed door before her grievance faded, replaced with a sly glint.

Ethan erged from his cold shower to find Glamour obediently asleep in bed. Perhaps fearful of him, she dared not speak again.

Ethan appreciated the silence and lay down on the sofa, but he couldn’t fall asleep.

Outside, occasional bursts from firecrackers and brilliant fireworks split the night sky, flooding the room with festivities and joy. Ethan let a small smile tug at his lips, unclear about what people were celebrating, but feeling affected nonetheless.

It seed to be a holiday tonight, but he felt it was lonely and joyless.

With that thought, Ethan swallowed, feeling a restlessness. It had been a long, long ti since he sought any joy, ever since splitting with Celeste Linden.

Ethan’s mind pictured the scene of Celeste fighting earlier with Glamour, her hair ssy, face marked with red spots and scratches—ssy yet beautifully clean, her eyes glowing brightly, begging to be kissed.

Suddenly, Ethan sat up and quickly left the room.

In the dark, Glamour slowly opened her eyes and went to the window, watching Ethan walk out of the villa heading for the backyard.

Ethan was looking for Celeste Linden again.

It seed he really did fancy Celeste.

Glamour curved her red lips into a calculating smile.

...

In the backyard, Celeste Linden had put down her paintbrush and was already asleep. Recently, her sleep had been good, and she had drifted off.

But in a hazy sleep, she felt a shadow standing beside her bed. Who?

Celeste’s eyes snapped open—not a dream; soone was indeed there beside her bed.

Ah!

Celeste scread in fright.

In the next second, the shadow leaped onto her, covering her mouth and whispering a threat, "Don’t scream, or I’ll make sure it’s the last thing you do."

The voice was so familiar; even if he turned to dust, she’d recognize him—it was Ethan!

He ca back again!

This haunting devil, what did he want now?

"Mm-mm, let go!" Celeste struggled fiercely.

Ethan reached out and pushed her down onto the bed.
