In the lowermost level of the Trailing Waves Battleship, lying in safety within a Maintenance Crew cabin was a four-tre-long submarine.
Huddled in safety within it was Torq, steadily increasing his strength. Vibrations coursed through the submarine’s hull from ti to ti, whenever a 50-tre-tall Stitched Human bombarded the Battleship.
’Only one of those creatures managed to reach this place until now.’ He thought and swallowed another mouthful of Parute Fruits alongside Spirit Moss and 20 millilitres of Inertial Wave Spirit Pool.
He had built his Spirit Container to house Prana worth eight units by now and was steadily improving his strength. He intended to flee from the place. But doing so at the mont was no different from suicide.
Travelling through the Dralh Sea individually was extrely dangerous, especially with his lacking Prana reserves. Hence, his plan was simple.
He would rely on the ship’s defences as much as he could, and then, once the entirety of the Battleship was compromised, he would flee the region. ’And in case I cannot flee on ti, I can always find him.’
’Based on the furball’s mories, father ended up surviving this Disaster.’ He focused upon the goal, ’I can beg for protection from him, in the worst case scenario.’
"And if it seems like Runthral will be compromised, I should kill him." Since he had the Empyrean Snapper Pet, it didn’t matter to Torq if Runthral lived or died. He could extract all the advantages from the Empyrean Snapper Pet.
Best of all, he could make the Empyrean Snapper Pet live on as Runthral, and in the process receive the sa benefits that the original did from the Cooter Clan.
’I think I am getting the hang of it.’ Torq found himself finding ways to build his Spirit Container faster and faster the more he worked on the process, while at the sa ti ensuring the quality of the construction.
Thanks to the Spirit Moss, he didn’t have to worry about an unstable foundation. It would ensure his foundation was as strong as possible. Ideally, granting Spirit Moss to all Cooter Clansn would have been the best, ensuring they could all realise their maximum potential.
However, good quality Spirit Moss had to grow without disturbance for a minimum of a century before it could be harvested. That made it extrely rare.
The kilogram Runthral had brought for him was low quality Spirit Moss, which had been growing for less than a decade. The Cooter Clan had discovered a few mines in the Tsloch Sea where Spirit Moss grew. That was their source.
The Dralh Sea used to have a larger reserve of Spirit Moss when the Cooter Clan ruled it. But when the Cooter Clan branch was annihilated, and without a reigning power in the region, the Pranic Beasts invaded deep into the mines where the Spirit Moss grew and consud it all.
The Bludder Race ended up consuming the majority of the Spirit Moss, which ended up paving their foundation for mutations and ended up birthing the Manic Bludders, the Silver Grade variant of the Bludder Race.
’Ideally, trading with the Mammoth Clan would be for the best, since they do have a large stock of Spirit Moss, at exceptional levels of quality at that.’ Torq thought, ’I also know of a place that has an abundance of the highest quality of Spirit Moss, but heading there is an impossibility for now. It’s exceedingly far.’
’I think my only option, for the ti being, is to rely on my Empyrean Snapper Pet to scour deep into the islands on the Dralh Sea and see if any batch of Spirit Moss has survived.’ He made a ntal roadmap of what he intended to do next, ’But first, I need to survive.’
Gradually, the ivory-coloured fluid of Inertial Waves spread outside the submarine, expanding in a gaseous state. Once it had expanded to the limit, and reached a satisfactory level of pressure, Torq brought it to an inertial state of rest.
And then, he retracted his stream of Prana fuelling the Inertial Waves through psychokinesis. ’There’s enough lingering Prana within it to maintain that state through an enemy’s rush.’
Since it was in a state of rest, it would prevent any object from moving through it, including air. Basically, Torq had created a domain around him that prevented motion. Of course, he still needed air to breather.
So, he created extrely small channels across the Spirit Weapon range for air circulation. Atop this, his Narlakk Pet was using Mystic Mist Art to filter the incoming air against any foreign substances, ensuring Torq remained absolutely safe within the submarine.
That wasn’t all. Torq also released a low pressure Inertial Waves in gaseous form within the submarine, keeping its inertia in a state of rest. Then, he slowly raised his hand, ’I can feel the opposition pushing my hand to its original position.’
This application of force was minimal, since the Inertial Waves concentration was limited. He had purposefully limited it, because now, the force it generated on him was no different from a cushion.
Boom!
Another violent attack landed on the Battleship and actually rocked it by a few tres. The shockwaves coursed through its walls and reached the cabin room where the submarine was.
The Inertial Waves in the cabin room acted against the shockwaves, damping its effect until it was fully nullified.
Sound travelled through vibration. Vibration ant oscillation back and forth across a point, which was basically motion that acted against a state of rest. Hence, the Inertial Waves moisture resisted the motion and ended up actively dampening the shockwaves.
In a matter of tres, the violent shockwaves were fully dampened, failing to reach the submarine.
As for the shockwaves that coursed through it from the floor below, the Inertial Waves within the submarine worked as a similar shock absorber, keeping not only Torq safe, but all the dicine vials too. None of them even shook the slightest from the impact.
"Things are working as I had hoped." Torq chuckled, ’Acting as an all-knowing saviour with limited strength is the essence of courting death.’
’Let the enemies have this victory.’ He thought, ’As long as father is alive, and Runthral is either alive on our side, or dead, then the enemy has failed their objective.’
"Once I develop my Inertial Waves a bit more, I’ll reach a satisfactory level of power." He smiled, "And I have a few ideas on upgrading it to the Gold Grade."
He thought of the Eureur Pet, ’Through it, I can get my hands on a Minor Treasure that would absolutely elevate my strength.’
"I can’t wait to return ho."
