Now reading: Chapter 22: The Son of an Old Friend from Summoners: One Golden Term per Level, a Fantasy novel by The right path in the world is full of ups and downs..

Shen Fei’s directness made Liu Wentao a little stunned, but soon he smiled, "With your military rit and this Pollution Core, you can definitely beco a mber of the Breaking Abyss Army."

Yet Liu Wentao still offered a caution, "The Breaking Abyss Army is not that simple; we are the frontline against the Abyss invasion..."

"I know because my parents are in the Breaking Abyss Army."

Shen Fei’s words not only stunned Liu Wentao but also the Breaking Abyss Army behind him.

Liu Wentao suddenly recalled sothing, nad Shen, Breaking Abyss Army, a couple...

"Are you Shen Lang’s son?"

"Yes."

For a mont, Liu Wentao’s face froze, and suddenly, he envisioned Shen Lang forever standing at the frontline, along with his wife Mu Lin.

"I didn’t expect you to grow up so much."

Liu Wentao suddenly let out a sigh; after Shen Lang and Mu Lin sacrificed, he checked the records, knowing their son was about to enter high school.

Liu Wentao just hadn’t thought of it because he hadn’t followed up afterward.

As long as the Breaking Abyss Army’s pension clearly went to Shen Fei’s hands.

Unexpectedly, he really was Shen Lang’s son, and even more outstanding than Shen Lang’s couple!!

Yang Xin seed sowhat surprised as she looked at Shen Fei.

’So he is the descendant of a martyr!’

"Then there is no problem with the political review."

Liu Wentao’s smile beca less formal and more cordial; Shen Lang was his soldier, so his son was his junior.

"Uncle Wentao, how should we take away this Pollution Core?"

Shen Fei naturally took the opportunity, not calling him Battalion Commander Liu so formally but directly addressing him as Uncle.

Liu Wentao did not oppose; he even thought it was good. As a junior, if Shen Fei lacked abilities, it was fine; at most, he would just look after him sotis when he encountered him.

But now this junior had capabilities!

Quite capable, in fact; if he helped Shen Fei now, Shen Fei would help him in the future.

With Shen Fei’s strength, Liu Wentao could not imagine who could surpass him in the college entrance exam!

"This requires a rather special containnt device." Liu Wentao signaled, and one person stepped forward, tall and clad in warrior-class gear.

He had a bushy beard and a square face.

"My na is Zhang Zhiang; you can also call Brother Qiang, or Uncle Qiang..." Zhang Zhiang smiled, while a blue-glowing magic cube appeared in his hand.

As he walked to the altar, the Pollution Core that was originally floating in the center seed to be attracted by sothing, detaching from the altar, and swiftly flying towards the magic cube. With a blue flash, it was swallowed up.

Zhang Zhiang ca down holding the magic cube, stating with relief, "Luckily you discovered it early; otherwise, this Abyss Core would have reached Tier Four..."

Liu Wentao nodded, but Shen Fei seed a bit curious.

"Uncle Tao, what is that?"

"Void Box, created from Void Stone, specifically for containing Pollution Cores." Liu Wentao nodded, then looked at Yang Xin and said, "Since you two discovered the Pollution Core, how the credits are distributed is up to you two..."

"All the credit belongs to Shen Fei! I just led the way." Yang Xin shook her head, thinking that if it weren’t for Shen Fei, she would have died under the Demon pursuit.

As for discovering the Pollution Core,

Without life, where does credit co?

"We’ll discuss more once we’re back!"

...

Within the defense line.

Returning with Liu Wentao, Shen Fei withdrew the Vast Heaven Holy Spirit, leaving only the Empress by his side; the Vast Heaven Holy Spirit attracted too much attention, avoiding the attraction of excessive gazes.

The squad had just returned, and Zhang Zhiang took the Void Box to deal with the Pollution Core; it was no trivial matter.

"So, have you two reached an agreent?"

Liu Wentao looked at Shen Fei and Yang Xin.

Shen Fei hadn’t yet spoken; Yang Xin nodded and said, "Yes, all the credit for this belongs to Shen Fei!"

"Very well, then you rest for a bit; tomorrow the dal awarding will comnce."

Liu Wentao nodded, the dal had built-in monitoring, able to see the kills.

So even if questioned, there would be concrete evidence.

"I’ll go rest for now..."

Yang Xin only now felt fatigue sweeping over her, although the Empress had previously provided healing, the ntal strain remained.

Shen Fei also nodded, taking the mont to draw in a lottery, then taking two more terms.

"Actually, there are quite a few Abyss Cores in my Professional Backpack. Can they be counted together?"

Shen Fei suddenly stated.

"Then I’ll take you to the quartermaster; since you don’t need rest, I’ll have them prepare, and arrange for the Silver dal!"

Liu Wentao nodded.

From the monitor, he saw Shen Fei slaughtering away, yet the monitor could only detect the number of Abyssal Creatures.

Unable to directly monitor levels, so Shen Fei’s military rit was unrecordable.

You need to present the Abyss Cores to determine.

...

Quartermaster.

In the quartermaster’s, people returning from the Abyss Edge chattered amongst themselves, talking about the events and monsters at the Abyss Edge.

Jiangg Miaomiao’s complexion had improved considerably, she said indifferently, "Back then we also encountered a Lord Abyssal Creature of Level 25, a Blood Demon Centurion!"

"Level 25? What nonsense, if you had really encountered it, would you have returned?" Soone beside laughed aloud, that was a Level 25 Lord.

Unless it was a unique profession, even if it was a rare profession, a squad without Tier Three couldn’t possibly wipe it out.

Jiangg Miaomiao was fairly known among these temporary Breaking Abyss Army troops, even many squads here fell short of Jiangg Miaomiao’s squad.

But not to the extent of tackling a Level 25 Lord.

The others laughed heartily as well.

Lin Laang showed no emotion towards the mockery, instead, he felt so relief, "It was that Giant who helped us."

If it weren’t for Shen Fei, they would never have returned.

"A single slap per creature, do you know the Blood Demon Valley? That’s where the Giant smashed with a single slap!" Lin Laang added.

"So impressive?"

"So strong?"

The crowd exclaid in astonishnt, they knew about the Blood Demon Valley, and Lin Laang’s story could easily be verified.

So, it was unnecessary to lie.

"Guess what background that Giant has?" Jiangg Miaomiao’s mouth curved with a smile, knowing they were almost shaken to their core back then.

Now they must be shaken as well.

"Could it be a unique profession, a Mythical Giant? I heard there is such a profession!"

"Regardless of the profession, to wipe out the Blood Demon Valley with a single slap, they must be of Tier Four or Tier Five stature!"

"Didn’t you see the Fire Lotus recently? There have been many experts!"

Jiangg Miaomiao, hearing their speculations about the Giant being a Professional, didn’t conceal, and with a smile said, "It’s the Summoned Beast of a Tier Nine Summoner."

As soon as she spoke, laughter erupted among everyone present.

"Hahaha, how’s that possible, a Tier Nine Summoned Beast can wipe out a Level 25 Lord Abyssal Creature with a slap?"

"Nonsense, they probably haven’t revealed their level yet or possess so sort of gear and equipnt!"

"Impossible, absolutely impossible! If it did exist, I’d happily lick all the bathrooms clean in the defense line!"

...

Everybody just thought Jiangg Miaomiao and the others hadn’t realized the genuine level and profession of the Giant, but Jiaang Yunyu shrugged and said to his teammates, "See, no one believes us. Yet only we know it’s true."

Lin Laang suddenly said, "Do you think, was that Fire Lotus previously conjured by Shen Fei, do you still rember a woman beside him then?"

"She might be a Mage Type Summoned Beast; I felt an extrely terrifying mana fluctuation from her!"

"Impossible. Having one heaven-defying Summoned Beast is already a stroke of incredible fortune for a Summoner, and that phenonon was seen by us all; how could there be another heaven-defying Summoned Beast?" Jiangg Miaomiao shook her head.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly Jiangg Miaomiao’s peripheral vision caught sight of a familiar figure, "Isn’t that Shen Fei?"
