"Kh." Selena gritted her teeth. She was supposed to have the upper hand, but Sandra had actually taken advantage of her situation to target Ying Zhen.
Although she believed her familiar was strong enough, she couldn’t deny the fact that Ying Zhen was currently the weakest among her familiars.
That was why Sandra took advantage of this situation to take down one of her familiars.
At this rate, Ying Zhen would die.
Selena had two options. First was to recall Ying Zhen and sohow summon him back near her or let him die.
If she chose the forr, Ying Zhen would still be able to fight, but his injury was quite severe, so even with her help, he wouldn’t last much longer.
On the other hand, Selena didn’t want to sacrifice Ying Zhen. If she didn’t summon him again, it ant Selena had to face both Sandra and one of her familiars at the sa ti.
Right now, she had the upper hand against Sandra, but if her familiar joined the battle, Sandra would be the one having the upper hand.
There was one more choice, which was Amphitrite. She acted as a buffer in case sothing went wrong, but when she searched for Amphitrite, her location was a bit too far from Ying Zhen.
She was in no position to help Ying Zhen. Besides, she acted as a buffer to Nathan instead of Ying Zhen.
She miscalculated Sandra’s desperation. Normally, she wouldn’t choose this kind of fight, but Nathan’s trickery earlier had driven her crazy.
That was why Selena might not have any other choice. This ant she wouldn’t be able to assist Nathan against Iskar.
Ying Zhen, lying on the ground, gritted his teeth. His consciousness beca fuzzy. It felt like his body refused to move anymore.
"Keuk!" Ying Zhen gritted his teeth. He could see Sandra’s familiar coming to him.
At the sa ti, looking at the sky like this felt so nostalgic.
It felt like he was lying down underneath the tree after he got exhausted from training. He just looked up, looking at the tree sizzling because of the blowing wind.
The spring had just arrived as the tree blood again, showing its beautiful color. Only in this place did he feel peace.
Like what happened in reality, there was a person coming toward him.
"Elder Baek," the mysterious person called.
Ying Zhen was slightly confused. He was called Ying Zhen. Besides, he felt this accent was a bit nostalgic, but at the sa ti, he was having a hard ti recognizing it.
Yet, for so reason, this na was his. For so reason, he felt like responding to that na.
"Elder Baek. Are you sleeping again? You have promised that you will see my sword today." The mysterious person walked closer, unsatisfied with the lack of response.
"Baek?" Ying Zhen muttered that na. Sothing was calling him from deep within his heart. It was as if he had buried this for so long to the point where he forgot about this.
Now that the person was a bit closer, Ying Zhen could see him a bit clearer. The young man himself looked cheerful and energetic, but what startled his mind was the uniform he was wearing.
It was the sa white uniform that he had hallucinated earlier when he saw through the enemy’s thod. On the arm of that uniform as well as on their chest, he could see a blossoming flower.
"Elder Baek..." The young man kept calling him, but for so reason, he hallucinated again.
The tragic scene from earlier flashed in his eyes. The young man was lying in a pool of blood with other people wearing the sa outfit.
And there was a shadow that looked at him as though it were enjoying the murder. He could feel the anguish, anger, and regret.
It made him, who was still lying down on that beautiful spring, want to do sothing else.
He spoke. "Rather than watch you, why don’t I show you sothing?"
Ying Zhen recognized his own voice, but unlike his current voice, it was much deeper, reflecting his age.
"Really?" The young man looked surprised.
"Yeah. Little kid. Why don’t you attack while I’m lying down here? Use everything you’ve got. If I see you hesitate even for a mont, I won’t show you anything."
"I understand." The young man raised his wooden sword. He took a deep breath, gradually resolving his hesitation. His face soon beca resolute as he swung down.
The sa thing happened in reality. Sandra’s familiar was about to strike him.
Selena, who was blocked by Sandra, couldn’t help but grit her teeth. There was no other choice. At this rate, Ying Zhen would die.
She had no choice but to recall him, even if it ant fighting Sandra and her familiar by herself.
But before she could do it, she suddenly saw flower petals gathering around Ying Zhen. The petals were pink in color, its lightness like a clear blue sky.
"!!!" Sandra and Selena couldn’t help but widen their eyes. Sandra knew her familiar couldn’t do this, so the only explanation was Ying Zhen.
Her familiar was desperate, trying to deal the last blow.
However, the flower petals blocked it. The familiar panicked because he had never seen this kind of power before, so he leaped away, trying to gain so distance to observe Ying Zhen.
In Ying Zhen’s mind, the young man was impressed. "Elder Baek. How do you... You don’t even have a sword?"
"A sword? There is no need for a sword anymore. After all, everything in this world is my sword." Elder Baek or Ying Zhen, in reality, stood up.
They grabbed a twig both in reality and in mind. "A sword is just a ans of cutting sothing."
The twig was suddenly filled with so much energy that it could break at any mont.
"To cut... there is sothing more important... That is... the will to cut." They swung their twigs at the sa ti.
In his mind, Elder Baek cut down a tree as the flower flew around, making the swing even more beautiful. In reality, the flower flowed like a liquid toward the familiar.
The familiar widened his eyes in shock and tried to stop it, but both his barrier and his left arm were suddenly cut.
"Aaargghhh!"
Selena, Sandra, or even the young man couldn’t help but gasp. But only the young man said sothing. "As expected of the Sword Supre from our Mount Hua, Elder Baek Jin-Ho."
