"Help!"
Nathan gritted his teeth. The situation had beco unpredictable once the alien influenced Bella. But it beca the worst-case scenario when Revon brought Evelyn back.
Nathan didn’t know what was going on. So, he shouted at the top of his lungs. "Enemy status? What happened to her? Her familiars?! And throw her to !"
"!!!" Revon heard everything. He didn’t have the ti to talk to him, so it was obvious what he had to do.
Revon carefully tossed Evelyn into the air. His body turned back as lightning sparked around his fist, clashing with Sharknell, who had been chasing him the whole ti.
"Deceased. I don’t know. Everyone’s good! I leave her to you, Nathan!"
Nathan leaped into the air and caught her, noticing a third of her body rotting.
"This is..." Nathan’s expression turned grim.
Evelyn was extrely weak. It looked like she was in pain, not from this rotting process, but from sothing else.
"Anubis!" Nathan recalled Anubis, who was in the middle of the interrogation.
"!!!" Anubis widened his eyes in shock. "This is... Curse!"
"Curse?"
"Yes. It looks like the curse that was supposed to hit you earlier... the one using their entire life."
Nathan instantly understood what had happened. Revon told him that her enemy died, so Garam must have used this curse as the last resort after getting defeated. Her familiars were fine, so they must be engaging Sharknell’s familiars.
Sharknell coming here must be for revenge, but his plan failed as Revon managed to reach them.
Nathan rembered what the alien had said before.
"How am I supposed to fix this?" Nathan asked.
Anubis narrowed his eyes. "This is not the sa case as yours. When Iskar attacked you, you used your power to block him. anwhile, this woman has been hit. Her soul is barely hanging on, and it looks like the energies in her body are fighting each other.
"Even if we manage to stabilize the energy, the curse will eat her away. Even using your power like earlier, the curse won’t move there."
"Then, do you an there’s no other way to save her?" Nathan couldn’t afford to have the expedition canceled. That was why Evelyn had to survive.
"I don’t know." Anubis shook his head. "Even with 1,000,000 ena and releasing more power from my divinity, it’s impossible for to erase it. After all, this is a curse coming from a world class summoner.
"I need my full power to erase this kind of curse." Anubis turned to Qilin. "Do you have a way?"
"No." Qilin shook his head. "The only thing I can do is to harmonize the conflicting energy to calm her down. But her life will still be in danger because of the curse."
"..." Nathan gritted his teeth. It felt like everything ca crashing down at the sa ti. If Garam died, he had to go there to interrogate him. But in this situation, it looked like Garam might be able to escape from the interrogation, aning there was no way to confirm the information from him since Anubis and Qilin had to remain here.
Then, there was also the matter of the alien as well as finding a thod to save Evelyn.
Even Nathan had trouble finding the solution for all those three cases at the sa ti.

Evelyn smiled weakly. She couldn’t move her body, but she could still mutter, "No need... to worry... about ... It’s... over..."

Anubis and Qilin had been activating their powers. Anubis fixed her internal injuries while Qilin harmonized the two elents inside her body.

"Yes!" Flora nodded.
"Let’s go!" Nathan turned around, asking the rest to go into the base.
Since the internal injuries were gone and the elents had cald down, Evelyn had an easier ti opening her mouth.
"That’s enough, Nathan. I know the condition of my body... I shouldn’t have gotten hit by that curse..." Evelyn bit her lips. If only she managed to maintain her control for a bit longer, she would be able to stop that attack.
No, maybe she should have just killed Garam. Because she was desperate for that information, she ended up falling to this curse.

Evelyn smiled wryly. This would probably be the first ti she had ever relied on soone. Usually, her strength was enough to solve everything.

However, he didn’t have enough ena to give Anubis what he wanted. There was no way his energy would be enough to unlock Anubis’ full power.
In other words, the thod might lie in the Soul Contract. He had to figure out a unique application of the contract to save Evelyn.
But it looked like he didn’t succeed, as he reached the room where the alien was kept first before finding a thod.
Bella turned around, her face turning pale right away the mont she saw Nathan carrying Evelyn in his arms.
