"Magical Codex: Lightning Transmutation!"
The multicolored lightning flew toward the alien. The latter ford a barrier to block the lightning, but four out of five lightning slipped past through the barrier and hit the alien.
"Roaaaa!" The alien scread. The lightning seeped into his body and electrocuted him from the inside.
Even Revon couldn’t help but widen his eyes in shock. He didn’t think his attack would easily pass through the barrier just like that. His eyes shifted to lissa, only to get another surprise.
There was a book in front of her, emitting a bright blue light. The book had strange patterns on it, and the cover was chained as though it were the chain for the book itself.
The pages were flipping like crazy as several symbols erged from the book and circled around lissa.
"Oh? What is that?" Nathan, who was on another battlefield, couldn’t help but get attracted to that blue light.
"I don’t know." Mae shook her head.
Anubis squinted his eyes. "Sothing like an artifact, like the one you use, but there are a lot of inscriptions on it as if it’s so kind of record. And using that record, she is... actually changing the properties of others’ abilities."
Nathan felt goosebumps. This was the first ti he had seen lissa’s ability. However, he had heard a lot about her prowess from his teacher in the past few days, considering he had to take lissa’s power into account when coming up with a plan.
At that ti, Vivian said, "lissa’s ability might revolve around traps, but that’s only for the defense. Her true ability lies in her analytical ability. She deciphers magic and rearranges it.
"You should rember the research she once presented on the Magic Tower. It ca from her deciphering the summoning link itself and making so improvents based on her existing knowledge.
"Magical Codex. That’s what she called her ability. The ability to change the characteristics of another’s ability. To put it simply, she is extrely weak if you fight her head-on. After all, that ability was born because she dedicated her life to the person she loved the most.
"Even though Senior Evelyn was the strongest in our generation, the one with the most powerful attack was Senior Envien, her man.
"She ca up with the trapping ability to help his defense, but instead of raising her defense further, she chose to increase Senior Envien’s offensive power instead.
"Her analytic ability might be on par with Charlotte’s. But unlike Charlotte, who only accumulates knowledge, lissa uses her knowledge actively.
"When she is alone, she is the weakest. However, if she stands beside the strongest man in the world, she will beco the strongest woman in the world."
Seeing how lissa overwheld even the elite class alien was proof of that ability. It looked like he had to reevaluate lissa’s worth after this.
lissa, on the other hand, didn’t stop there. She continued altering Revon’s attack as their attack began to reach the elite class alien.
"How did my attacks even reach that alien?" Revon gasped.
"I have seen through that barrier. It’s a kind of absolute barrier that can block one thing." lissa smirked. "All I need to do is change that one thing into multiple, and that is enough to bypass that barrier."
Revon didn’t expect lissa to be this strong. Still, this worked quite well for them. As long as they could break through the enemy’s defense, they could defeat it.
Vivian harrumphed. "You should have used your ability to assist when we hunted together a few months ago instead of using your trapping ability. It would have been easier."
"Boosting you? It makes physically sick. If not for this expedition, I wouldn’t do it." lissa snorted.
"Hmph." Vivian raised her hand. "Whatever. I should begin as well."
Now that Vivian had understood how the barrier worked, Vivian could see how she should strike the enemy.
The druid, the ancient spirit, and the dryad regrouped with Vivian.
Vivian and the druid raised their wands while the ancient spirit and the dryad clapped their hands. A green magic circle appeared on their respective backs, and lines connected each magic circle, creating an even bigger magic circle.
"Cyrt."
"Krna."
"Qnngl."
"Xent."
Each of them muttered one word as the magic circle emitted a green light, overwhelming the light from lissa’s Magical Codex.
"Grow endlessly." Vivian fully activated the magic circle. "Endless Forest."
Huge roots erged from the magic circle as though there was a massive tree behind that magic circle. With the size of the roots, it made people think the trunk of this tree was at least as thick as the alien’s body and its tip pierced through the clouds.
The roots spread all around the alien. The latter punched the roots, destroying so of the roots. However, the roots regenerated so quickly, even faster than the alien’s regeneration.
The roots surrounded the alien, but the latter simply used the barrier to keep the roots at bay.
In fact, the alien chose to wave its hand to create a massive torrent to disrupt Vivian.
Recognizing this action, both Bella and Charlotte appeared by Vivian’s side. They turned the current into an illusion before making it vanish.
"We’ll protect you, so go for it." Bella assured her with a smile.
Vivian nodded. Silvania, the high elf, stood on one of the roots and pulled her bow. The energy from her body was sucked by the arrow as she prayed, "O’ Great Elven God. Your servant shall devote this arrow to you.
"My eyes are your eyes, my arms are your arms, my life is yours to use. I beseech your blessings so that I can deliver this calamity to my enemy."
The arrow sucked more and more energy from her body. The amount of energy generated created a massive pressure that even Revon and the elite class alien felt death.
"Magical Codex!" lissa ford a massive magic circle in front of her.
"(3rd Catastrophe. Annihilation)!" Silvania muttered a few words unrecognized by anyone, including herself, as though it was a word not from her but sothing beyond her existence.
The arrow passed through the magic circle and split into two, black and white, as though there were two beams spiraling with each other.
"!!!" The alien panicked and ford a barrier in front of him, but due to the Magical Codex, only the white arrow was stopped. The black arrow passed through.
The alien raised its arm to block it, but the black arrow pierced through the entire arm. Its force was so powerful that it disintegrated the entire arm.
