’So... this is Cthulhu?’ Nathan clenched his hands as he stopped his trembling forcefully.

Unlike the others, he knew perfectly well that Cthulhu was feeding their fear.

’This being is as strong as I am.’ Fenrir squinted his eyes.

’I’m stronger than this guy.’ Jinwu snorted.

’I can defeat him.’ Nidhogg harrumphed.

’You are overestimating yourself. Even with two of these guys coming at , I can still win,’ Orochi smugly declared.

’What did you say?’ They ended up snarling at Orochi’s arrogant declaration.

Thanks to Kun’s telepathy network, Nathan could hear everything they were thinking. The competitiveness of these divine beasts was truly amazing... It was indeed reassuring.

Nathan took a deep breath to calm himself down. He ordered, "Mae. Give an illusion to erase everyone’s fear. Show that we understand him."

Mae nodded and opened her bamboo fan.

"!!!" Everyone suddenly snapped the mont their fear disappeared. They were dumbfounded, wondering what they were doing. Due to Mae’s illusion, the fear didn’t co back despite standing in front of Cthulhu.

"Huh?"

"Did I?"

"What?"

They were confused, while Evelyn and Revon were smiling. Nathan was so reliable as usual.

At the sa ti, Cthulhu could see what happened. He didn’t think Nathan would know him this much, but that was precisely the reason he wanted to et him.

As a result, Cthulhu changed the way he introduced himself. "I am Cthulhu, one of the Great Old Ones. We have finally t, child of prophecy."

Cthulhu spoke directly into their minds. Due to the lack of distance, he didn’t exude any of his power, which allowed them to hear his words without having to endure the ringing sound.

"Child of prophecy?" They couldn’t help but turn to Nathan. Nathan was the only one they believed would suit this title. After all, it was Nathan who knew the information about the aliens.

There were only two people who already knew that Nathan was involved in the alien race’s prophecy. They were Bella and Evelyn. Bella was the first to know, while Evelyn happened to hear it when Nathan and Roggoth talked to each other.

"I can sense Roggoth’s sll on you. It looks like he has withered away."

"!!!" Nathan raised his eyebrows when Roggoth’s na was ntioned. He stepped forward and asked, "The child of prophecy... Is it really ? I’m not the chosen one."

"You are the child of prophecy... more accurately, one of the children of prophecy."

"One of?" Nathan was stunned. This had beco even weirder. The others were also confused.

Cthulhu lifted himself up and stood on the bridge. His height was 300 ters (990 feet), causing them to look far up just to see his face. He then bent his knees and extended his hand toward the edge of the ice wall.

"I shall invite you to my abode. We shall talk inside."

Considering the size of the city, it was clear that Cthulhu was better to carry them all the way to his ho. After all, a single step from him was at least one to two hundred ters. They would be quite exhausted just to reach his place.

Still, everyone hesitated to climb onto Cthulhu’s body. In the end, this guy was a monster in everyone’s eyes.

They were waiting for Nathan’s decision. As soone who knew him the best, it would be best just to follow everything Nathan was doing.

They had gone this far, so there was no point in hesitating. Nathan took another deep breath before leaping onto his huge palm.

The palm was quite slippery due to his body being covered in a slimy mbrane. Fortunately, he could descend to the base of the palm without slipping.

Since Nathan had gone there, Evelyn and Revon followed suit. The others didn’t want to be left behind, considering how scary Cthulhu was.

After everyone was up, Cthulhu rose to his feet and started walking on the bridge.

"Are we really here?"

"Am I dreaming?"

"I wish I were dreaming."

Bella smiled wryly. She might be excited because they were probably the first people who managed to step onto an alien city. If they ever told this story to anyone else, probably no one would believe them.

However, this was their reality.

Bella carefully looked down, seeing the sea lake turning green due to the green light illuminating the lake from the floor.

Although the city was hidden underneath this place and the freezing seawater had just filled it up earlier, for so reason, they couldn’t sense any cold. No, not even the frozen wind could reach the city.

"Do you stand a chance against such a being, Captain?" Revon whispered as low as possible.

Evelyn shook her head. "Impossible. I can probably withstand one attack, but that’s it..."

Nathan smiled wryly, thinking, ’That’s because you haven’t condensed your divinity and ford your godhood yet. If you do, your strength will increase drastically.

’Then again, Cthulhu is the Great Old One. He’s considered to be an alpha class, but it looks like there’s a qualitative leap in strength within the alpha class, just like humans.

’Cthulhu is one of those existences closest to the Outer Gods. Never in my wildest dreams would I actually stand on top of Cthulhu’s palm while getting carried to his ho.’

Everything was surreal. Even when he was reading novels and letting his fantasy go wild, he never pictured such a scene.

But here he was. Nathan didn’t know what was the matter with the prophecy, but it was clear that the alien race was betting on it.

He had to be careful when talking about it. Cthulhu wasn’t necessarily evil, but he was the being that fed on fear.

Little did he know, Cthulhu’s influence was felt globally.

...

Gratzel Continent.

The Pope couldn’t help but stand up as he summoned Michael. "What was that?"

Michael squinted his eyes. "This doesn’t feel good..."

Several other world class summoners, who were more sensitive than the others, could also feel Cthulhu’s influence.

...

Erendtall Continent.

A hidden alien couldn’t help but open its eyes after sensing it.

"So, soone has finally woken you up. It looks like the Second Wave is about to begin."
