Chapter 1119: Blue Star
“Whoa…” Bella gasped, admiring the view. Although it was creepy and eerie, the city looked magical. It was a city that could only be seen in a fairy tale.
“How big is this city actually? If we humans travel from just one side to another, it will probably take days, right?” lissa squinted her eyes. “No. Just a single house alone is impossible to clean no matter how many servants you hire. Although the size is not like a continent, it is probably as big as ten royal capitals combined…”
Revon was watching them carefully because both Bella and lissa were sitting on the edge of Cthulhu’s palm.
Christopher and Sonia were so terrified that they couldn’t do anything but sit down in one place with their heads hung low. Neyeid couldn’t help but ask, “What are you two doing? You’re not feeling anxious?”
“It will be a lie if we don’t feel scared. But well… If we die, we die. There’s no helping it.” lissa winked playfully. If they were going to die, there would be nothing they could do to stop it. So, why should they worry about it?
“Indeed. I’d rather burn all this into my mory. I want to recreate this with my illusion and do sothing about it if I manage to survive.”
“Illusion? But you don’t have any intention of growing your strength anymore…” Neyeid raised her eyebrows.
“Ah.” Bella smiled embarrassedly. “I have never really told anyone about it, right? Well, it’s a dream I had buried because I was a noble daughter. But I wanted to beco a bard, you know? Illusion and singing… Doesn’t it sound romantic?”
“…” They were speechless. They never realized Bella had such a dream hidden away this whole ti. Although it was rare, they often heard her humming around, so she was definitely telling the truth about trying to beco a bard.
Though, she probably wanted it so that she could sing the praises of Evelyn’s adventure.
On the other hand, Vivian was staring at Nathan as if demanding an explanation. Evelyn was doing the sa. This kind of alien wasn’t sothing they should have awakened, let alone the city. However, it looked like Nathan was already aware of the city, and he didn’t tell them about it.
Nathan smiled wryly before letting out a long sigh. “I give up. Fine, fine. I know this already, but who would have thought this big city would co to this world as well…”
“Hmm…” Vivian and Evelyn squinted their eyes as though they knew Nathan had another secret he hadn’t told about.
“Why do you two know so well?” Nathan scratched the back of his head before raising his head. “If it’s not too much to ask, may I know how I should address you, Great Old One?”
Cthulhu turned his head down and transmitted his voice into their minds. “You may call Cthulhu. I don’t put hierarchy as my priority. Besides, this ti, I am nothing but a ssenger.”
“I see.” Nathan raised one finger. “Does that an the others are not here?”
“…” Cthulhu fell silent for a mont before saying, “It looks like you are already aware of them.”
“The others?” Vivian and Evelyn’s hearts skipped a beat. Just one was terrifying enough, and he was telling them there were more. At this rate, they would die from heart attacks before even going on their revenge.
“Yes.”
“I see. They are not here. However, they are already awake, fighting against the singularity.”
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. He didn’t realize the Great Old Ones had been awakened. If he rembered correctly, he had read about Cthulhu being the key to their awakening. It was no wonder Cthulhu told him he had co as a ssenger. “ssenger, huh? So, does that an you won’t attack this world?”
“No. At the sa ti, I won’t help humanity either, even if they go extinct due to the singularity. I will observe and watch the end of the universe.”
Nathan’s face turned grim. It looked like the situation on the alien world wasn’t so optimistic either.
“I know you have a lot of questions in your mind, but you can save them for the ti being. I will tell you what you want to know once we reach my abode.”
“I understand.” Nathan nodded in agreent. anwhile, Vivian and Evelyn felt relieved. If Nathan didn’t say anything about Cthulhu’s words, it ant he wasn’t lying. Cthulhu wouldn’t harm humanity.
But what they didn’t know was that Cthulhu gave another ssage, this ti only to Nathan’s mind.
“However, I have finally figured out your identity, child of prophecy.”
“Hmm?” Nathan squinted his eyes.
“You are from the Blue Star.”
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. In stories, he often read about how people from other planets ntioned Earth. They would call it the Blue Star, so the fact that Cthulhu ntioned the Blue Star made him realize Cthulhu had truly figured out about his reincarnation.
Nathan abruptly turned his head to the sides, only to be t with the confused faces of Vivian and Evelyn.
“Don’t worry. It looks like you haven’t talked about it with them. Although I don’t know what kind of form that caused you to travel to this world, I know that your soul is not native to this planet.
“In fact, we have spread our existence to other worlds due to the crisis. And it’s not just in a single form. Sotis, we colonize the planets. Sotis, we spread information about our existence.”
‘Spreading information about their existence…’ Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought. To his surprise, the theory that appeared in his mind was so ridiculous that he didn’t know whether to believe it or not.
Nathan tried to reply in his mind like how he talked to Kun so that the other two wouldn’t know about it. “Do you spread your existence through… stories?”
“Looks like you have figured it out.”
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. He never thought about it. What if the aliens were real, and they spread their existence through that man who authored those books?
“Your world is quite unique. There are multiple legends about divine beings on par with us. Do you know the source of those legends?”
“!!!” Nathan’s body trembled as Cthulhu just dropped the second bomb.
“I can tell you about it later when we’re alone.”
