Chapter 1143: Earning Money
“I’m sorry, esteed custors. We don’t accept barter.”
“That’s weird. The last city accepted it…” Nathan frowned.
“My apologies, esteed custors. Unfortunately, we can’t accept it.”
Mae walked to his side and suggested, “Master. Should I exchange it for so money? It shouldn’t take too long.”
Evelyn felt weird about sothing. Despite talking to each other, the owner and the female staff acted as if nothing weird had happened. Nathan’s lips should have moved differently.
However, there was another reason Mae accompanied them. The illusion made even the female guard realize that they were using so sort of power. Hence, when Mae applied an illusion to Nathan’s lips, they didn’t suspect anything.
anwhile, the owner overheard everything and suggested with a polite smile, “If that’s the case, may I suggest visiting the lord’s trading hall? The lords are willing to buy food at a high price.”
“Where is that place?” Nathan asked.
“How about having Misha lead you?”
Nathan rubbed his chin for a few seconds before nodding his head. “Sounds good. Please pack the clothes for now. I’m going to get so money first.”
“Certainly.” The owner politely bowed to him.
“Let’s go.” Nathan waved his hand to Evelyn.
In the end, the three of them exited the store as the staff led them to the city center. They were greeted by the staff. Thanks to the introduction from the owner, they were treated warmly.
In just two minutes, they were already sitting in front of the manager.
“Welco. I am the manager of this hall. May I know what kind of food you are planning to sell?”
“I have plenty of them, but I wonder what you need the most?” Nathan crossed his arms.
“We definitely need everything. We promise that we will buy everything you are willing to sell.”
Nathan didn’t say anything. He just stared at the manager as if telling him he didn’t want to repeat himself.
The manager felt pressured. He could understand Nathan’s actions. Nathan wanted to sell only one thing to them. If they pushed Nathan away, they would be in trouble.
“Any staple food is sothing we prioritize the most. Flour, grains, or corn.”
Nathan nodded and took out the first bag of flour on the table.
“!!!” The manager was stunned, not expecting a flour bag to appear out of nowhere. He didn’t know how Nathan managed to do it, but he could sense the ena moving into the bracelet. It was the bracelet that did it.
“How about this?”
“May I inspect it first, sir?”
“Sure.”
The manager opened the bag carefully and examined the flour. “It’s indeed a high-quality flour. For this bag, I’m willing to offer you 100,000 Zel. If…”
Before he continued, Nathan raised his hand, stopping him. “I told you earlier. I have plenty.”
Nathan pointed to the side and used the space bracelet again. Five more bags appeared.
“!!!” The manager widened his eyes.

Mae, on the other hand, suggested, “Master. How about selling 50 bags for now?”
“50 bags? I need at most 11 bags, no?”

“That’s why you suggested 50 bags?”
“Yes. We shouldn’t sell too few or too many. After all, we can always sell it to people who offer sincerity.” Mae smiled.
Nathan nodded. “All right. Let’s do it this way.”
“Thank you very much for accepting my suggestion.” Mae bowed to him with a smile.
“There you have it. I’m going to sell 50 bags. Should I take them out here?”
“!!!” The manager was startled. Even the female staff didn’t expect Nathan to be this rich. He could sell all this food without batting an eye. It ant he had more food than they could imagine.
Food had beco the most sought-after item in this crisis, so its price had increased drastically. If Nathan still had a lot more, he could easily get tens of millions or even hundreds of millions.
The manager stood up and extended his hand into the empty space in the room. “You may place them here. We will take care of the rest.”
Nathan nodded and dropped the remaining bags. They were the sa size, so it wasn’t hard to figure out they didn’t need to adjust the price per bag.
“You can check it first.” Nathan nodded.
“No need. I believe you.” The manager smiled. He then called for another staff and whispered sothing. Not long after, the staff brought a tray with paper money stacked on it.
Each bill was 10,000 Zel, so the stack was quite big.
“There are 5,500,000 Zel here. To show our sincerity, we will price each bag at 110,000 Zel. I hope that if Mr. Nathan plans to sell again, you are willing to consider selling it to us.” The manager bowed politely.
“I will think about it.” Nathan nodded.
They were escorted carefully and returned to the shop. It definitely made a huge impact as the staff told him about everything.
Still, even though acquiring money on this continent was good, Evelyn was still confused about Nathan’s plan.
After receiving the clothes, Evelyn demanded, “Nathan. What is going on? I know that this is not a normal date, and I can see that you’re planning sothing. But what is it? I can’t see your plan. What are you planning to do?
“If I know about this, I can help you better.” Evelyn also grabbed the paper bill. “Besides, what is this? How can you trust this kind of paper? It’s not gold or sothing. Other than the fact that this is paper, it doesn’t an anything.
“Please. Explain it to . I know you’re planning sothing big. I lose, all right? I admit defeat. So, tell .”
Nathan scratched the back of his head before sighing. “Fine. I will tell you. Let’s get to the inn first, shall we?”
