’So, here it cos... Black Cell Weapons...’
Johnson ntioned it earlier, but Nathan didn’t know the capability of the black weapon. All he knew was that it was a fragnt of summoning that had been corrupted by the black cell.
As expected, the weapon was not the only thing that changed. Their armor turned black as well.
’It doesn’t look like it’s their lifebound familiar... But they shouldn’t be able to use it due to the overwhelming summoning link from the lifebound contract. It’s weird...’ Nathan squinted his eyes.
"I praise you for being able to force to summon this, but this is the end." Bloody Fiend made a few small jumps in his position.
Seeing Bloody Fiend trying to do sothing, Nathan hurriedly fired his gun.
Bloody Fiend suddenly disappeared.
"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes, his pupils gradually shifting to the side as Bloody Fiend passed him. "So fast..."
All of a sudden, a wound opened on his neck as the blood spurted out.
"Aahh—mmff!" Nathan bit his lips. Thanks to Fenrir’s senses, he was able to sense him, albeit barely. However, the change in his power was so big that Nathan had a hard ti responding.
Fortunately, Anubis healed him right away.
"..." Bloody Fiend looked at his dagger. "I failed to kill him? Well, it looks like you are stronger than you appear to be, but it doesn’t matter. You are going to die by my dagger."
Anubis wanted to help Nathan, but Bloody Fiend’s familiars surrounded him. Mae expanded her tails one more ti, but the black bell rang.
"!!!" Mae widened her eyes in shock before coughing up blood. "What?"
The bell struck her soul directly. In addition, the black bell moved toward her. Mae could stop it with her tails previously, but the black bell resonated with her body, causing the energy to erupt.
"Gah!" Mae spat out blood before getting blown away by the bell.
After Anubis healed him, Nathan hurriedly turned around, trying to shoot Bloody Fiend down.
However, his senses picked up an incoming danger, most likely from Sniper. He changed his target and shot the incoming arrow instead.
The Absolute Bullet and the arrow clashed one more ti. Although Nathan didn’t have enough ti to form his new bullet due to the shock Bloody Fiend brought, the normal bullet was enough to deflect the arrow earlier.
Yet, the mont they clashed, the arrow actually overwheld his bullet and broke it apart, dispersing its energy.
Nathan tossed himself to the side, avoiding the arrow. However, this arrow was so powerful that it destroyed what was left of the house.
This was when Nathan found an even more terrifying power. When the arrow hit the ground, it caused a powerful burst. To his surprise this ti, he noticed that the arrow was like a living being. It was alive and continued to produce the burst as if it were repairing the burst itself.
Nathan got knocked away as if he had just gotten hit by a container truck at maximum speed.
His body flung up, his bones breaking apart. Fenrir had strengthened his body, yet it wasn’t enough to absorb the damage of this arrow.
He wasn’t the only one who got overpowered by his enemies. Evelyn, who had been overwhelming her enemy with her uniqueness, found herself in a pinch the mont the Soul Devourer used the black weapon.
Evelyn and Soul Devourer traded another punch. Normally, gravity would disperse the energy, especially with Evelyn’s new technique.
Yet, when she shattered the foundation of this devouring technique, Evelyn noticed that the foundation actually repaired itself.
’Huh?’ Evelyn widened her eyes. Since there was no more gravity power that dispersed the devouring power, the latter started sucking her ena and everything of her.
’Not good!’ Evelyn clicked her tongue. She couldn’t release the energy from her hand since it would be sucked by her enemy. Hence, she actually used her foot to channel that energy to the ground and crushed the ground underneath her.
Due to the sudden change in elevation, they were separated for a bit. Evelyn used that ti to get away from him.
’This is the black weapon? It is able to repair even the power itself? There might be more secrets, but without any preparation, fighting them will be just sending ourselves to our deaths...’
She finally understood why Johnson was angry. This power was definitely far stronger than their expectations.
’It combines three powers, huh? The original fragnt of summoning power, the black cell, and the elent within their body from the lifebound contract...
’And if one of the strongest summoners on this continent possesses this strength... I see. It looks like our objective is much harder than we predicted... and the biggest miscalculation will be the black cell...’
Evelyn saw Soul Devourer coming toward her again, but this ti, she chose to avoid his attack. For the first ti in this battle, Evelyn actually dodged the enemy’s attack.
Evelyn gritted her teeth. She should be able to withstand the enemy or even win as long as she uses all her familiars and her space elent, but she wondered if this was the right choice.
There was no guarantee they could kill all five people here to hide that information.

Seeing the others had utilized their black fragnt, Alex Tear decided to follow suit. Even though his strength was superior to Johnson’s raw strength, it was practically impossible for him to defeat Johnson.
The biggest reason was that Johnson excelled in defense. Unless he had help from Sniper, it was impossible to kill him. Unfortunately for him, Sniper was focused on Nathan, so it would take a long ti for him to do anything.
At the sa ti, the summoners under Johnson had gained ground against their familiars. With enough ti, those summoners would co to this place, so they had to kill their targets as soon as possible.
The black fragnt was the only way.
Alex leaped into the air and swung his black mace.
"It’s useless." Johnson raised his shield, blocking the mace. As soone who had learned a lot of things about the Death Society, he applied much more ena into the shield.
Yet, it wasn’t enough.
Alex’s mace suddenly expanded at the last mont, multiplying the force behind that impact.
Bam!
The ground shattered into a crater as cracks ford all over the shield, with so parts even shattering.
"No, it’s not useless." Alex snorted. "Die!"
