"Teleportation!" Nathan muttered. He could see his vision getting distorted.
Then, the next thing he realized, his body disappeared before reappearing much farther ahead.
"Huuu..." Nathan exhaled deeply before looking back. "It looks like I succeeded."
Nathan re-summoned Mae to his side. "How far is it?"
"About 150 ters (492 feet)." Mae roughly calculated. "It’s quite stable, since this is the first ti you’ve used it."
"Well, I have used Blink, but this is the first ti I have used teleportation. How do I say this...?" Nathan scratched the back of his head.
"Technically, Blink is a kind of teleportation. However, due to its short distance, there’s not much change. Your vision doesn’t get distorted, and so on."
Nathan nodded. "On the other hand, teleportation requires the help of the void. It could be said I’m bending the void, which allows to cover that distance in one go."
"Indeed. Blink only requires you to transfer your body, while teleportation not only requires you to transfer your body, but it also needs you to protect your body from the void. The longer the distance, the more unstable it is."
"Evelyn once told that the farther the distance, the more protection your body needs. There are a couple of other ways to do it. The first one is the teleportation circle."
Nathan paused for a mont, recalling the teleportation circles on Gratzel. "The teleportation circles bent and created a much more solid bridge for the people to pass. But you need to create the teleportation circles, so you can only go to a place that has been marked instead of a free direction."
Mae nodded. "The other thod is through a portal. With this thod, your vision won’t be distorted and the portal can be maintained. In fact, it’s the most stable thod. However, it also requires more ena. Since you are alone, it’s best to use teleportation."
"Agreed. I can practice my space elent this way."
"Why not ask Evelyn to teach you right away?"
"She will probably lecture first before that. After all, I have just got my second elent." Nathan let out a long sigh. "Besides, it’s better to make so progress first. This way, I don’t blindly ask her for everything.
"The answer I can get while doing this myself might be different from hers, so..." Nathan shrugged.
"Well, it’s your path, so I can’t really say anything. It looks like you are planning to pursue a different way of space utilization."
"How do you know?" Nathan gasped.
"It’s rather obvious. You have done a lot of things from your so-called inspiration. You must be planning to turn whatever ideas inside your mind into reality." Mae rolled her eyes.
That was what Nathan had been doing all this ti after all.
Nathan gently rubbed his cheek. Was he that obvious? Then again, there were indeed a few cool things he wanted to try.
"Well, there is sothing I have been working on in the past two days. I haven’t mastered it yet, but it’s already usable to a certain degree." Nathan pulled his arm, covering it with his space elent.
Then, he stepped forth and swung that arm. Suddenly, the air cracked.
Mae had a mory of Evelyn using a similar technique. Evelyn created a crack, which separated the dinsions.
As a result, any attacks that reached it would simply get blocked in that transition. It was a barrier, which was considered the most powerful among Evelyn’s defensive techniques.
However, that technique was defeated by a new creation where Evelyn ripped apart the space itself thanks to Nathan.
Yet, Nathan used a similar technique, not for defense, but for offense.
Out of nowhere, a massive burst occurred. The burst shook the ground and kicked up all the surrounding ashes.
Boom!
Mae was surprised. The power alone was similar to Nathan’s explosive bullet, which was created with the new technique.
However, Nathan hadn’t mastered this magic yet, so the power would just increase even further. In fact, it might even rival Fenrir’s Absolute Bullet, which could destroy a part of a mountain.
"How’s that?" Nathan grinned. "For your information, I still have a hard ti controlling the distance as well as the power."
"It’s not usable yet, but that power is not sothing I can ignore." Mae squinted her eyes.
"Hehe. It’s Gura... I an, Spatial Collapse!" Nathan corrected himself. "The punch cracks the space. That vibration will be sent through the void and return to reality with all that burst of energy from the void. Hence the na. I might be able to combine this with Fenrir."
"What do you an?"
"Fenrir’s absolute strength might be able to aid this power. The stronger I punch, the more powerful the distortion in the void will beco. That absolute divinity of his can affect even the space after all."
Mae shook her head helplessly. "As long as you like it, it’s fine with . Besides, its power is sothing one can underestimate."
"Hehehe." Nathan smiled. "For now, I’m going to create so techniques. After I’m done with the dicine, I will head to Evelyn to talk about my elent."
"Fine. But just because you have a new elent, you shouldn’t forget about the manuals. You need to improve your summoning link. And it might even affect the power of the space elent."
"I know that." Nathan nodded. "Anyway, it’s ti for another teleportation."
"Do you need to stand here again?"
Nathan thought for a mont before shaking his head. "I’ll just teleport in succession. I have gotten the gist of the magic, so I will improve the more I use it. No more tests."
"Okay then." Mae politely bowed and disappeared into thin air.
Nathan then used his teleportation again and again, heading straight to Team Academics.
Because of his mastery, he had to use teleportation so many tis. Still, it was much faster than traveling on foot.
It took him only 3 hours to arrive. Unbeknownst to him, the eting this ti might be more troubleso than he originally thought.
