Chapter 1257: Eleren Again

The entire battlefield was shaking.

People couldn’t help but panic.

“What’s going on?”

They were having a hard ti maintaining their posture due to the shaking. It was as if the earthquake had just hit the area.

“Master. You shouldn’t use sothing like that…” Mae smiled wryly while glancing at the city. At this point, the people from the city would definitely experience the quake earlier.

Different from Mae, there was disappointnt on Fenrir and Nidhogg’s faces as their opponents disappeared because of the death of their summoner.

Nathan couldn’t help but look down. Even though he crushed that crystal armor, he didn’t expect the summoner to die just like this.

“This is weird. Even my body can absorb that much impact…” Nathan muttered.

“That’s because his physical body is weak. There must be this kind of people as well. Because they don’t train their bodies, they think just covering them with armor will be enough.

“As a result, they are unable to endure this kind of attack. If it were you, four or five of those attacks might just barely kill you.” Fenrir snorted. “This guy is so weak that I lose the pleasure of stretching my body.”

“You two can exchange with Anubis and kill the rest of the summoners. I need to get so information from this guy.” Nathan let out a long sigh.

“Tsk. The battle is not really satisfying, but well…” Fenrir clicked his tongue and moved away.

Nathan let out a long sigh before focusing back on Lambert. The power he used in his attack earlier was definitely the strongest one he could use at the mont.

He could definitely crush the thick city wall with that punch alone. In fact, that power was about to reach the one Count Ashton had once shown.

Still, Count Ashton should be at his teacher’s level, soone who was close to becoming a world class summoner. anwhile, he was a summoner who had just reached the arcane level not long ago.

It was understandable to have that gap.

“…” Nathan couldn’t help but look around, seeing the crack that stretched for over a hundred ters in all directions.

He never thought his power had reached this level.

“I am here. You say you want to get so information from him?” Anubis finally arrived.

“Yeah. We will do the usual. I only want to ask him so simple questions. Mae is about to arrive as well.” Nathan nodded.

Anubis used his domain to judge Lambert’s soul, while Mae used her illusion to stop Lambert from ssing around and simply answered his questions.

“Ready.” Mae gave the signal. “We don’t have ti. The people from the city should feel that quake, so it will be a matter of ti for them to find out what’s going on.”

Nathan acknowledged it and started with several questions. “How do you plan to join the Death Society? Do they even co here? Do you know where to et them?”

Lambert answered with hollow eyes. “I will bring you to them to be studied. They didn’t co here, but all I need to do is visit Eleren.”

“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes.

“Eleren? Isn’t this the place you’re about to visit, Master?” Mae was stupefied.

“Yeah,” confird Nathan before continuing with another question. “What do you know about Eleren? How are you supposed to join by going to Eleren?”

But there was no answer from Lambert. Mae shook her head. “He might have no knowledge of it. All he knows is that he should co to Eleren.

“There’s a chance the Eleren family is the one that will handle the rest,” explained Mae with a grim tone.

“This looks much harder than I originally expected. The Eleren family is supposed to be one of the biggest and oldest families. They have even changed the continent by introducing the fragnt of summoning.

“Yet, this family, which has deep roots in the empire, is the gate for the Death Society… If we play this carelessly, the Eleren family will definitely notice our intention.”

Nathan scratched the back of his head.

“Master. We don’t have any more ti. One last question, and that’s it. The others seem to be finishing up their battles as well,” Mae warned him, knowing that the people of the city were about to check this place.

Although disappointed, Nathan asked the last question. “How do you know you can join the Death Society by going to Eleren?”

“They always watched over and knew my devotion. They might not co personally, but they sent a letter.”

“When?”

“Master!”

Nathan nodded and activated his teleportation magic, but only activated it once he heard the answer.

“One week ago.”

After that answer, Nathan, along with his familiars, disappeared right away. Of course, he had to bring the corpses with him as well, leaving behind the aftermath of the battle.

The people were confused because they didn’t know such a battle had occurred right outside the city, but it didn’t matter.

“Anubis.”

Anubis shook his head. “It’s gone. The only outco of that ability is judgnt. Once interrupted, it’s deed the soul to have been judged.”

Nathan nodded in understanding. While he still had so questions left, they were just small questions, so there was no need to get worked up.

“Well, we got more information than we originally thought.” Nathan muttered. He first recalled all familiars except for Fenrir, Anubis, and Mae.

“So, it looks like we are going to Eleren? Are we going to confront them?” Fenrir asked. “I don’t mind fighting strong people.”

“You idiot. We will just end up throwing our lives away if we go there without a plan.” Anubis snarled.

“Going there is necessary, but should we return first? We need to bring the book to Neyeid,” asked Mae after taking another look at their current situation.

“My teacher must still be writing down the concept, so we should check Eleren first before going back.” Nathan raised one finger. “There might be sothing going on with the two crystal fusion stage summoners from the Eleren family. I’m assuming that they have a conflict because of this.”
