"So, you’re saying we don’t have ti?"
Nathan nodded with a grim expression.
"!!!" Evelyn suddenly recalled the fact that Nathan had set the ti limit to one year. If he wanted to, he could prolong this limit to two years, which gave them a lot of ti and increased their chances against the Death Society.
But because he set this ti limit, it felt like he was trying to return ho quickly.
And the reason might be related to this dream.
"The second dream was losing several people I cared about, but for so reason, I never t them. And even now, I still couldn’t recognize them." Nathan rembered the second dream vividly.
He couldn’t recognize their faces. He didn’t even know if they existed or not. And if they existed, who were they? Soone from their continent? Soone from another continent?
Nathan couldn’t get any answers to all his questions.
"The only ones who know about this dream are Selena and the others, as well as my teacher."
Evelyn contemplated. "Assuming this is a precognitive dream, it ans there will be an army with one thousand elite class aliens.
"So, the reason you are creating those magic weapons and distributing them to other countries without asking for much...
"No, that’s not the entire thing. You have been procuring things from this continent. So minerals and tals are good for magic weapons. Besides, the manuals will increase the level of the summoners on the continent.
"You even gave our summoning thod to this dynasty... You don’t know whether the army will co to our continent or this continent.
"So, if our summoning thod is spread here, they will beco stronger. But even if it’s not, this continent is strong enough to resist it. There will be a massive loss, but they can prevent total destruction.
"But our continent will be destroyed.
"Hence, you set the ti limit to be one year. Any longer than that ans they won’t have enough ti to prepare.
"If we return in one year, there should be ti to improve the quality of our summoners as well. No wonder you are thinking about the printing machine. If you are able to spread the knowledge fast, it will aid your plan."
Nathan didn’t say anything, but that silence was basically an answer.
Evelyn never thought Nathan had been trying to help the world from the beginning. How far did he actually see?
She realized that Nathan not only tried to take care of her revenge, but he also wanted to make sure they still had a ho to return to.
Thanks to this revelation, she couldn’t help but ask one important question. "Now that I think about it, I haven’t asked you about this. What is your goal, Nathan? I an, dream? What do you wish to accomplish as a summoner?
"Everyone has a dream. For , I want to beco a summoner who can finally figure out what I actually want, and that will beco my second goal. But you... I don’t think you are a confused person like . You must have a clear goal in mind."
"?" Nathan smiled. His goal might be much more ordinary than everyone would think. His goal remained the sa from the beginning. "I want... a family."
"A family?" Evelyn was even more confused. This was the answer she least expected from an ambitious person. He was basically telling her he had never been an ambitious person.
Nathan always wanted to have a family as if he was trying to deny his broken family in his past. Of course, the family he had in mind might not be an ordinary family.
After all, he just wanted to be surrounded by the love of a family, which ant he wanted to have multiple wives.
"Yeah. Don’t you know? There is nothing stronger than a family." Nathan quoted a famous line. It was sothing that Evelyn couldn’t imagine, considering she hated her parents.
But the family Nathan had in mind was a harmonious one that helped each other. It was a dream that might not look realistic, especially for a high-ranking big family like the one he might end up building, but a dream was supposed to be sothing unattainable.
Still, to achieve that goal, he had to do a lot of extraordinary things.
"I want to have a family and protect my family." Nathan smiled. "If the singularity prevents from having such a thing, then I will do everything I can to remove it from my path."
Evelyn was speechless. That was right. The dream might be ordinary, but this might be the hardest goal in the world they are currently living in.
"A family... I think that sounds terrific." Evelyn smiled. "It was surprising for you to have that dream, but I feel like I understand you more."
"Hehe. You can know more than that." Nathan grinned, teasing her again.
Evelyn just chuckled and gave a peck on his cheek before saying, "I will do that later. Now that I know what you want, I know how rushed you are. That’s why I will be helping you rush things, such as your domain right now.
"I will be helping you with the domain. So, what do you know about the domain right now?"
"Well..." Nathan rubbed his cheek embarrassedly. "I have yet to make any preparations for the domain. I have made a domain before, but that’s because I took advantage of the Soul Contract."
While they hadn’t taken the last step, Nathan and Evelyn had practically beco a couple. Even though Evelyn already knew about the Soul Contract, talking about it had beco much easier with their current relationship.
"So, basically, we have to begin from the start, huh?" Evelyn looked up, contemplating. "That sounds good enough for . Since you plan to have two domains, it’s best to have two similar domains to simplify the process.
"I will also keep that in mind. I think I know how to teach you."
"In that case, please take care of ." Nathan nodded.
Evelyn smiled evilly. "Don’t worry. I know you are in a hurry, so I will definitely not let you sleep tonight."
"I prefer you to say it in a more romantic way..." Nathan took a peek at Evelyn’s face, only to et her scheming expression that was practically telling him she wanted to pay him back for all the teasing today.
