Nathan smiled wryly. Everyone was saying a rather scary thing. At the sa ti, he couldn’t really ignore their warning.
He had read a lot about modern stories, where people got cursed or hard their vitality because of the things they excavated.
"At this rate, I will end up believing immortals are real." Nathan shook his head helplessly.
"Immortals? There are gods who can live forever." Xolotl frowned, wondering what Nathan was talking about.
"I’m not talking about that kind of immortal. I’m talking about the cultivation of immortality." Nathan shrugged. "What next? Maybe Azathoth versus the Primordial Heavenly Yin and Yang Immortal Dragon God Emperor?"
All of them were quite speechless. What the hell did he an by Primordial Heavenly Yin and Yang Immortal Dragon God Emperor?
Nathan only chuckled while waving his hand. "I’m just making it up, of course."
He said it with 70% certainty, not 100%. Everything he had read had beco true, such as Jianghu and Murim, which was reflected in Selena’s familiar Yin Zhen and the bad energy from the modern story, which was proven by Qilin. So, he thought the Xianxia the might actually be real as well.
Then again, if there was indeed such an existence, would they not do anything against the black cell? If those so-called immortals could live for billions or trillions of years or could form their own universe within their bodies, he doubted he could et soone like them.
"Anyway, let’s continue." Nathan started walking. "I see staircases on the other side. Although jumping down is easier, it’s better to explore one floor at a ti. Luna, if you don’t mind, please use the golems to examine all the places we can find."
"Sure." Luna nodded and ford 50 golems. All these golems imdiately spread in all directions, touching everything they could. The floors, the ceiling, the walls, and even the railings were not spared by them. They were trying to find out whether there was any hidden chanism or not.
Unfortunately, the first floor didn’t seem to be anything special. They found no rooms, as if this floor was only used to gather people or was an empty space for teleportation. As Fenrir said earlier, the portal moved depending on the ti, so they might teleport near the staircases if they ca to this place during the night.
Once they reached the second floor, things started to get interesting. Next to the staircase seed to be a huge office. It must be where the officials in this prison gathered. They found a lot of things, including the remains of the deceased.
So seed to be stronger because they hadn’t decomposed completely yet.
Since Nathan had a lot of extra storage thanks to Luna, he stored all of them in case he needed them later. Of course, Anubis and Qilin made sure everything was safe to be taken back.
On the other hand, Regina chose to store the remains, hoping to bury them once they returned to the empire.
Then, they finally saw the cell. This one cell contained 10 aliens. So of them had vanished, leaving only their alien cores. But one of them was actually a mature class alien. It still had its skeleton, just like so stronger officials.
Of course, Nathan didn’t hesitate to get the cores. And judging from the floors, he could basically get a lot of cores in this place.
"Now that I think about it..." Nathan also noticed sothing wrong. "How did this place fall in the first place? Considering we found people’s remains, it looked like they were trapped here. And there were ways to open this place, right? First was Heimdall, while the second one was the specific key."
Regina crossed her arms, pondering. "I couldn’t find many records about it. The summoner of Heimdall was never seen anymore. So, he might die in this place."
"Die in this place?" Nathan raised his eyebrows. "That summoner must be strong, right?"
"Well, yes. He possessed the strongest familiar in the world. If he hadn’t beco a warden here, he probably could have beco the strongest summoner in the world at that ti." Regina nodded.
"Does that an there was sothing strong here that required him to remain?" Nathan asked.
"Most likely." Regina agreed. "Then again, this place should contain even elite class aliens. He might have to stay here to keep those elite class aliens in check. If those aliens broke out, it would cause an outbreak that crushed a part of the empire."
"Well..." Nathan couldn’t deny this possibility. This place was built hundreds of years ago. At that ti, the empire might not have had a way to handle so many elite class aliens easily.
So, it was much more reasonable to keep this place in order even if it ant being trapped here forever.
Then again, it didn’t matter. If there were indeed a lot of elite class aliens in this place, they might have died. Even if they hadn’t, they shouldn’t be too strong. Their group could sohow kill them.
If they were outnumbered, Nathan could simply teleport to the top floor and activate the gate again, transporting them outside.
’Still, I don’t know how many elite class aliens were here, but the fact that the ’almost’ strongest summoner in the world stayed here ant there were so many elite class aliens to plunder. I believe at least 4 or 5. It could be more.’
If he added the elite class aliens they encountered along the way, Nathan could probably get 10 or more elite class aliens on this trip alone.
There were also lower-level aliens... Just counting the amount of ena alone, he could probably get 20 million ena from this trip alone.
It would definitely make him a lot closer to the world class summoner he was aiming for.
In the end, Nathan hid this thought for a bit, as there were still a lot of places to explore. On the second floor alone, he could see at least five huge cells that contained aliens, not counting several rooms that the humans used.
The lower they went, the more aliens they would find. Thankfully, Luna was here, allowing them to check each place at a fast speed.
