Nathan couldn’t help but shiver. He had always thought about separating the fragnt of mories as sothing like a movie that just stuck to his mind. It shouldn’t be a problem, as that was how he had treated those dreams before.
But after this dream, he couldn’t be so sure.
’I am Nathan Reckmoon, who ca from Earth and ca to this world because I died stupidly. But soon... am I still going to be Nathan Reckmoon?’ Nathan gulped down. At one point, he might end up abandoning his own na.
He ended up feeling fortunate that he got only a little fragnt from the original Nathan. It affected his judgnt, but it didn’t affect his own perception and life.
If the entire life flashed before him instead of just a little fragnt, Nathan didn’t know what would happen to him.
Luna and Regina seed to have noticed the commotion as well.
"Are you alright?" Evelyn looked worried as she grabbed a bottle of water. "Have sothing to drink first?"
Nathan gulped down before grabbing the bottle. He downed the entire bottle. Crying in the dream sohow made him thirsty.
"Ha... Ha..." Nathan breathed heavily before answering her. "Yeah. I’m alright. It was just a nightmare."
Luna and Regina looked relieved after knowing it was just a nightmare, but Evelyn was suspicious.
She, too, had learned about Nathan’s precognitive dream. She couldn’t think of any dream that Nathan could consider a nightmare. It might actually be related to that precognitive dream, but it wasn’t a question she could ask when Luna and Regina were present.
"Sorry for making you worry." Nathan waved his hand. "It looks like the alien did a number on ."
"You almost died." Evelyn glared at him. "Do you know how reckless you are? An alpha class alien... If you find one, you should have turned around and run instead of challenging it. You are still far from strong enough to handle one!"
"Sorry..." Nathan just apologized instead of making excuses. They did kill the alien, but if he had been unlucky, he would have died.
He had to thank Anubis and Orochi for this.
Evelyn wanted to cry as she kept imagining Nathan’s death. She had just found soone she could probably trust for the rest of her life, so just imagining losing that person hurt her a lot.
It just reminded her of the Bloody Banquet. No, it might even feel more painful than what she felt after that banquet.
She could finally understand lissa and Vivian, who had lost their loved ones. They must feel even worse than this. She thought it was no wonder they had a hard ti moving on.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t really express herself with Luna and Regina here. She had no choice but to wait until they were back.
"Thank you." Nathan nodded politely to Luna and Regina.
"No, it’s not a problem." Regina waved her hand. Even though she was the one who slew the monster, she definitely couldn’t have done it without them.
The ones who could pierce through the enemy’s defense were Nathan and Luna after all.
Luna pointed at her own coffin and said, "That coffin is mine to use, only for when I die of old age. I don’t agree with anyone using it, especially you."
Nathan smiled wryly. She was basically telling him, ’You can’t die before . I will die of old age, by the way.’
To put it simply, he wasn’t allowed to die like this.
Nathan felt embarrassed if this continued. It wasn’t like he could discuss the matter of the dream or anything else, so it was better to change the topic.
"By the way, Evelyn. Let introduce them to you. Luna Eleren and the emperor’s sister, Her Highness Regina." He then turned around and introduced Evelyn. "This is Evelyn."
"We greeted each other when you were unconscious." Evelyn nodded.
"Oh." Nathan scratched the back of his head. "That’s right. How about the corpse?"
"You don’t have to worry about it. The corpse of the alpha class alien is inside this ring." Luna showed her space ring. "The corpse was rather unique. It retained a portion of its power after dying, so she was asking for the corpse earlier."
Luna pointed at Regina.
Regina didn’t know which expression she should make, so she awkwardly explained, "This is an unprecedented matter. I know that I have agreed to let you get all the spoils from this expedition, but if I can just show this corpse to my brother, the empire can take drastic asures.
"This is an alien stronger than any aliens we know. Although the core is a priceless treasure, as it’s the first one of its kind, the corpse is better for . I hope you can give it to ."
Nathan thought for a mont. It didn’t seem to be a bad idea, but Xolotl suddenly added, "Don’t agree to it yet. This is a corpse with the power of rule.
"The body obviously retains its power for so ti. Even though they have unique abilities, others might have similar powers. Just obtaining this corpse will allow you to study it. It can make people who develop a similar power realize the power of rules.
"The sa applies to its core. If you want to absorb that core, you have to get rid of or block the power of rule with your own. In other words, if you don’t have that kind of power, absorbing it will just cause that power to enter your body, which will cause a clash within your body and probably cripple you or kill you.
"However, the amount of ena inside that core is not sothing soone like can underestimate." Xolotl explained.
After hearing that explanation, Regina raised one finger. "Please allow to have the body. I am willing to pay any price."
"Any?" Nathan squinted his eyes, thinking it was good to use this as another favor. If the favor for the space bracelet could gain her support against the Death Society, this favor ant he could ask her to bring even more helpers later. This would be a perfect scenario, but it looked like the others misunderstood his thoughts.
"Yes, Any. Even if you desire , I will agree." Regina smiled while slightly pulling down her shirt to show her cleavage.
But Luna and Evelyn suddenly pushed her back at the sa ti.
"..." Due to their sa reactions, both of them looked at each other. For so reason, a tacit understanding ford between them as they suddenly shook each other’s hands.
Nathan was just speechless, wondering how the discussion moved in this direction.
