The funeral for the Sword Saint was held. His status and achievents couldn’t be ignored by anyone from the Azilia Kingdom. Even the other kingdoms sent their envoys to pay respect to him.
Zack never thought he would watch his father die so soon. However, he was more worried about Noelle.
When her brother, William, was born, Sullivan had just returned to the family, so it might be awkward for William and Sullivan.

Zack gulped down. "Noelle admired him the most. I learned he was supposed to have Selena’s master and father take care of the mission. However, to challenge themselves, Noelle actually proposed to handle the mission."
"!!!" William widened his eyes. He finally understood why Noelle would be so devastated.
She felt guilty for causing his death. If she hadn’t even been there, Sullivan would still be alive.
"I have to tell you that as the future head of the Flamante family. Do you resent her for that?"
William shook his head. "We both know Noelle is not the type of person. This is just a series of unfortunate events. I’m just afraid that Noelle wouldn’t think that way and bla himself."
Zack nodded in agreent. "Thank you, Son."
"Don’t thank , Father. I’m not worthy to be her brother. I don’t even know what to say to her right now. I wish I could comfort her."
Zack smiled. "I will take care of that."
Zack’s expression beca firm. He lost his family in the past because he isolated his father after his mother died.
He didn’t want the sa thing to happen to Noelle. It was his duty as a father to ensure that never happened.
However, he was glad about one thing. Sullivan might have been nagging her a lot regarding it, but even in this hopeless situation, Noelle was not alone.
Selena and the others were here.
He just hoped Nathan would return safe and sound. If sothing happened to him, Noelle might end up being overco with grief.

Nathan closed his eyes with a heavy breath. After listening to the story, he finally understood what had happened.
"Thank you for telling all that." Nathan paused for a mont. "I won’t tell you it was not your fault whatsoever. However, I did have one share of responsibility here."
"What? No way. You were busy on another continent." Noelle shook her head furiously.
"No..." Nathan stopped her. "Before this, Vivian had passed a ssage from Elysion Aquamoon, the strongest summoner on this continent. Even the elder she asked to visit had said the sa thing. When I encounter a helpless situation, I should go north.
"I had never understood that aning until now. The helpless situation he was talking about was this. I should have realized how helpless I would be when I went to another continent.
"I should have arranged sothing else. I should have gone to Elysion Aquamoon and made that request, no matter the price.
"However, I was too complacent myself. I thought I had overco all the challenges and believed that the helpless situation he was talking about had yet to arrive."
Nathan shook his head helplessly. He felt guilty because he hadn’t made enough preparation.
If he had, he could have prevented Sullivan’s death.
He might not know Elysion’s strength, but the fact that Sullivan, who was soone possessing the power of rule, was still weaker than him ant Elysion had possessed at least two rules.

Flora hurriedly released her energy to make Noelle sleep. "Huu... Sorry. She has overco her guilt, but her emotions are still unstable. Whenever there is an argunt, she would be like this."

"Xolotl? Aren’t you drinking with Garuda on the roof?" Nathan asked.

"What are you talking about? You ntioned the power of sacrifice before..." Nathan frowned.
"Her progress should have beco even faster ever since that incident, right?" Xolotl asked.
"Y-Yes. How do you know?" Flora nodded.
"That’s the power of negative emotions. If it’s cultivated properly, she will beco strong, very strong. But most of the ti, people get overwheld by negative emotions and fall into madness."

"Negative emotions? Are they different from the original sins?" Sera asked. Asmodeus had never said anything about this.
