"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes.
"What is he talking about?" Evelyn asked.
"..." Nathan’s expression turned grim. He never thought that Elysion would know about this secret. He was indirectly implying that Nathan was not Nathan. He was soone else.
"What’s wrong? You haven’t told them about it yet?" Elysion Aquamoon smiled.
"What is he talking about, Nathan?"
Elysion actually had no hesitation in revealing that secret. "The man before you is not the Nathan from this world."
"!!!"
"What?" Evelyn and Luna widened their eyes. Evelyn ca to a realization.
It was originally weird how Nathan didn’t behave like a farr’s son. Where did his knowledge actually co from?
That explanation was more than enough to explain everything.
"..." Nathan wanted to attack him to protect that secret, but there was no way of stopping Elysion. "What is your purpose?"
"I am rely making clear about our relationship. I don’t know if you are already aware of this fact or not, but we were once a master and a disciple."
"Seriously?" Luna thought they had no relationship before.
"Nathan..." Evelyn gasped. She wondered how much Nathan had been hiding it the whole ti.
"If you know about that and still bring an outsider to et , that ans you don’t trust as your forr teacher. That’s why I reveal that information.
"If you know about that and choose to trust and co alone, even if I reveal that secret, no one will know about it other than you and .
"If you don’t know about that, then isn’t this the perfect ti to explain yourself?"
"Nathan, you..." Evelyn couldn’t believe it. It looked like he wasn’t the man she thought he was.
Elysion Aquamoon continued, "Have you been wondering where the original Nathan is? Well, I can also give you an answer for that. He’s gone. He won’t ever co back."
"Do you destroy him?" Evelyn asked Nathan.
"No," Elysion actually answered that question on Nathan’s behalf. "He didn’t. His arrival in this world was actually the will of the original Nathan."
"What?" Evelyn was bewildered. Even Nathan didn’t expect this kind of answer.
The original Nathan’s will? He had been aning to ask. Why would he co to this world? Since he was a familiar, he should be a ghost who died because his head bumped hard against the sharp edge of a table due to just a simple chain of unfortunate incidents.
For Evelyn and Luna, however, this actually confird Nathan didn’t co into this world willingly. He didn’t kill the original Nathan or sothing and possess his body.
He was the victim.
Nathan asked, "What are you trying to say?"
Elysion closed his eyes for a mont, rembering the last ti he saw his disciple.
"Teacher... I’m tired. I have done my best, but I will never succeed. Isn’t it fine for to take a rest now? I don’t know how long I have been doing this. Every ti I fail, I have to endure the humiliation, the pain of losing the people around , and knowing that I might end up failing again... It repeats over and over again.
"You must understand , right, Teacher? I’m tired... really tired. Please let rest. I can’t do this anymore."
That voice, filled with desperation, exhaustion, despair, and fear, kept haunting his mind the whole ti.
He felt like screaming whenever it appeared in his mind.
For him to rest, he wanted to sever that connection from the current Nathan first.
"I will give you an answer, but allow to get your na."
It was clear that Elysion demanded Nathan’s na from another world, not this world.
Nathan hesitated for a mont. "Nathan Reckmoon."
"I see. Nathan Reckmoon..." Elysion’s expression was filled with sadness. "Nathan Reckmoon. You are you. He is he. Please know that."
Nathan squinted his eyes. Why would he even confirm it?
Evelyn and Luna were completely flabbergasted by the sudden revelation. They couldn’t keep up with their conversation.
"The reason you ca to this world is him. Do you have any grudge against him?"
"..." Nathan fell into deep thought. If the original Nathan really summoned him to this world, he didn’t have any grudge against him. In fact, he was thankful.
The original Nathan brought him into this world. It might be a dangerous world, but he could pursue his dream here. He could build the family he desired.
"If you ask whether I hate him or not, then I don’t hate him. Rather, I’m just... perplexed."
"I’m sure you do. Follow ." Elysion first glanced at the two people. "Are you going to bring them as well?"
"You deliberately revealed my secret in front of them, and now you’re trying to leave them out of this? Are you trying to create a misunderstanding that will ruin our relationship?"
"Then, why haven’t you told them yet?"
"Every person has a secret that they don’t want to tell others about. I’m the sa." Nathan shook his head. "However, I have always upheld one principle for all of them. I never lie to them."
Evelyn and Luna could confirm that principle. He might play a trick or two, but he definitely never lied to them. He could lie to other people, but he would never lie to his family. That was his principle.
At the sa ti, it didn’t an he could reveal this kind of secret.
"I have been stranded in this unknown world ever since the summoning. I know nothing about this world. I don’t know a single person in this world.
"The only thing I know is to rely on myself. I experienced unimaginable pain for the first ti, and I knew that the path I walked was filled with pain.
"And you ask why I haven’t told them about this secret? Because there’s no need to. I just want to live.
"I want to live in this unknown world. I don’t even know why I am here. So, I just live here. If you think it’s wrong for to desperately try to survive, then yeah, I’m wrong.
"And now you ask whether I have a grudge against him?" Nathan clenched his hands into fists before shaking his head. "Yes, I do have a grudge against him. But even after all that, if you ask whether I hate him or not. No. I don’t hate him.
"I am able to co here and escape my own nightmare. I can et all these people. I can fall in love with them. So, no. I don’t hate him. I love this world..."
