Now reading: Chapter 470 Farming from Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts, a Action novel by Fixten.

The roaring sound of streaming water echoed in his ears as Nathan looked at the water flowing toward the small lake.

More and more water would be coming and at a constant pace.

"How is it? Did everything work?" The Dragon King asked as he returned after creating the pathway and blocking the original river path.

"Yeah. It's working. However, at this pace, it won't be enough. We have to ask so summoners to fill the rest of the water. In addition, we have to cover the top to avoid the ash contaminating the water supply."

"So, you want to create a do?"

"No. It's more like a structure. It should be big enough for us to test the water and do other things inside. This is probably going to be the biggest structure in this place."

"There should be a dwarf familiar among my summoners, so I'll take care of it. I will check whether such a structure is possible or not." The Dragon King nodded.

"Still, we need to let the river fill up this storage as much as possible. That ans we might have to push away the cloud a bit."

"That's going to be hard. Even if I can do it, it will only last for an hour, maybe?"

"Well, we will see what we can do later." Nathan nodded. "For now, I have to focus on the farmland."

"True. Let's go."

Both of them went to Vivian an hour faster than she expected it. As a result, she hadn't finished all her work.

"What? You done?" Vivian raised her eyebrows.

"Yep. It's filling up just fine. All we need to do now is wait." Nathan nodded. He then turned his head to the side.

The dryad was checking out the seeds they had brought while the druid focused on moving the field. He even used the giant root to plow the field.

The fairy queen was observing the entire process.

"How big will the test field be?"

"Not really big." Vivian shook her head helplessly. "The situation is pretty helpless, so I doubt we can produce a lot of food by ourselves. Other people have to help as well, and we need to sohow automate the process.

"If this is not possible, I think 30,000 people will be our limit. And we have to stay here all day, using the last bit of our ti to recover. In the end, we will probably die from exhaustion after a month or two.

"Hence, we need to spread this information to all people, letting them do the sa thing in their own territory.

"If they can't do it, it's going to be impossible to get enough food," explained Vivian.

The Dragon King looked shocked. He never thought it would be that hard to produce enough food. Fortunately, he ca first as Alavenya suggested. This way, his people would be treated better.

Of course, he had to make sure that they also worked hard to earn their food.

He never thought that in his life, he would be fighting for his life not because of aliens, but because of food.

With his strength, it wouldn't be hard for him to earn money as a summoner. However, this disaster had completely changed the world.

"Do you need help with the field?"

"No. Give five minutes. It's going to be done soon."

Nathan nodded. "In that case, I will get so water."

"I should go. You're not strong enough to get all that water." The Dragon King just patted Nathan's back before taking his leave.

"I'm ready, Summoner." Charlotte waved her hand.

"In that case, Jinwu!" Nathan nodded and summoned Jinwu. "Use your divinity to imitate the sun. We need to see whether your ability provides the nutrients for the plants or not."

"Well, I'm a bit skeptical about reducing myself to such a work, but I guess it can't be helped for the ti being." Jinwu squinted his eyes.

"I will try to find the solution as quickly as possible, so please."

"Sure." Jinwu flew into the sky.

The dryad was controlling the seeds with her ena and put them all down on the ground. She made sure the depth was enough.

The druid was in charge of ensuring everything was correct. Both of them waved their hands, signaling they were done.

"I've returned!" The Dragon King brought a giant water ball with him.

"Pour them like rain instead of pouring water from a glass."

"Got it." The Dragon King approached the field and controlled the water ball with his ena perfectly so that it beca a sprinkler. After that, he spun it around while moving from left to right, making sure that everything was watered nicely.

"That's enough." Charlotte clapped her hand. A green-colored magic circle appeared in front of her. "We will begin the test."

"Jinwu!" Nathan shouted.

"Oh!" Jinwu's body grew in size and turned gold. With a flap of his wing, a giant sphere appeared, brightening the area as if the sun had just descended.

"Hoho…" The Dragon King smirked, pretty impressed with Jinwu's power.

The druid and the dryad exchanged nods.

Both of them activated their own power.

"Grow!"

The ground vibrated as the ena slipped into the soil and started stimulating the seed.

All of a sudden, a sprout suddenly broke through the soil and grew at a speed visible to the naked eye.

They planted four different crops: wheat, potato, tomato, and spinach. Each of them looked like they were growing fine, but Nathan still had to ask, "How is it?"

"It's actually giving the nutrients." Charlotte nodded. "As expected, the soil's nutrients deplete quickly. At this rate, two more tis will cause the soil to have a hard ti keeping up with the growth.

"The water has to be absorbed properly as well, but fortunately, everything else is supplied by ena.

"It can be said that the project itself works. If we have enough nutrients for the soil, it can work. The only question is whether this is enough or not. We can't stay here all the ti since we will need to do sothing else, like getting stronger, fighting aliens, and other things.

"anwhile, other summoners might be able to do it, but they will be much slower. So, we have to take that into account."

Nathan crossed his arms, falling into deep thought.
