Nathan was standing in front of a middle-aged man. This ti, the person who t him was not Elder Thompson, like what he and Vivian expected. Instead, this person held the highest authority in the Blacksmith Guild.
Yes, the person in front of Nathan was none other than the Guild Leader of the Blacksmith Guild, Ryan Reeves, August's father.
Of course, August was actually standing next to him.
Nathan just smiled wryly, feeling the intense glare from him.

After visiting Flora, he left the academy. To his surprise, he actually found August standing at the entrance.
He just stood there while looking up, checking the cloud above him. His back was leaning on the wall as he crossed his arms. His posture made it look like he had been standing over there for quite so ti.
Nathan wasn't really his friend, so he didn't think much about it and just exited the academy.

Unexpectedly, August took the initiative to call him. "Nathan."
"En?" Nathan furrowed his eyebrows. He didn't really have a lot of ti, so he wanted to make it quick.
August clenched his hands into fists before lowering his head. "Can you… tell what's actually going on?"
Nathan tilted his head in confusion. "I don't know what you're talking about. What makes you think I know sothing?"
"If you don't know anything, you wouldn't leave the academy. Besides, your teacher is a researcher. She is knowledgeable enough to know this. More importantly, you have ntioned the earthquake, which helps the Blacksmith Guild a lot. It'll be weird if I think you don't know anything."
Nathan looked August in the eye. He really had no obligation to tell him.
August knew this fact and actually lowered his head. "Please… I don't know what's going on, but sothing big must be happening right now. If you tell not to say anything about it, I won't tell a single soul. If you need anything, I will do my best to fulfill it."
Nathan squinted his eyes before thinking for a mont. After a minute, he actually changed his decision. "If I tell you I want to et your father right now?"
"I will make him et you, even if I have to kneel before him. You won't even put in a request like that if it's not sothing big, so I know it must be important enough."
After listening to his words, Nathan nudged his head to the side. "Let's head to the Blacksmith Guild. You can listen to it while I talk to your father."
August's expression brightened. He furiously nodded. "All right."
Nathan realized that August had been waiting here for a while. He must have realized that sothing went wrong, so he was waiting for soone important or knowledgeable enough to know the answer. And Nathan was that person.
Originally, Nathan planned to et Elder Thompson since the latter would cooperate with him. However, August's father was the guild leader. If he got the help from the entire Blacksmith Guild, the plan might actually work.
And he indeed managed to et August's father. Unlike August, his father was big and muscular. He had a fierce aura that made him look like a powerful warrior.
Yet the calluses on his hand were created by a hamr instead of a weapon.
Nathan was famous, but Ryan Reeves already knew the relationship between him and August.
So, he couldn't help but wonder why his son would wake him up and even bring this person here.
"Father…"
Ryan waved his hand. "That's enough. I want to hear it from him personally."
Nathan's expression turned solemn. "I need to borrow the entire Blacksmith Guild's strength."
"The guild strength? I know you're famous because of the magic weapon, but I don't think your status is enough to do such a thing. And it's not like I owe you anything, right?" Ryan felt like he was going to give Nathan a hard ti, but he didn't let his feelings take over completely. Hence, he added, "However, I will listen to what you have to say first."
Nathan nodded. He explained everything about the volcano, including the confirmation of the Pope. He shared a bit of his plan, specifically regarding the cloud-repelling device.
Ryan crossed his arms, thinking about it. "So, you need craftsn to create them?"
"Yes." Nathan nodded.
Ryan glanced at August. "Wake Elder Thompson, Elder William, and Elder Reyna up. Tell them to co to the Blacksmith Guild right away."
"Ah! Yes!" August was startled and hurriedly exited the room. He didn't expect that his father wanted to call the three top elders in the Blacksmith Guild. It seed his father was going to help Nathan personally.
Ryan stated, "I will bring my top craftsn to your place personally, including the materials required to produce such a machine. However, the machine itself isn't the most important, is it? The one we truly need is the researcher that can inscribe sothing to repel the cloud."
"Yes." Nathan nodded. "Still, the main plan is to mass-produce this device as quickly as possible."
"The four of us are enough. Creating a thousand of them shouldn't be that hard."
Nathan fell silent for a mont.
"What?" Ryan squinted his eyes.
"Nothing. I'm just surprised that you aren't going to haggle or negotiate."
"That doesn't really matter. If I push you to the corner, you can just leave and collaborate with others. Besides, this is an urgent matter if we don't want the world to be plunged into chaos. Even if I'm not a good person, I don't like to be a villain who causes a lot of lives because I just refuse to cooperate." Ryan shook his head. "Besides, my son has brought you here. I have no reason to refuse."
"I see." Nathan nodded.
"Are you going to leave soon?"
"Yes. I need to visit a few places." Nathan took out the map and gave it to him. "This is the place."
Before grabbing it, Ryan grabbed goggles, a big scarf, a mask, and gloves. "Wear this. Don't let the ash enter your lungs. It's fine to be exposed to so ash, but a prolonged exposure will be bad for your body."
"This…" Nathan was surprised. Ryan looked stern and felt like soone who didn't talk a lot, but he was indeed thoughtful.
"Just go. I will be producing a lot more since people will need them."
"I understand. Thank you very much." Nathan politely nodded to him before taking his leave, slightly surprised by Ryan's character. Nevertheless, he couldn't stay for long, so he imdiately headed to the next destination.
