"Nathan!"
Flora panicked after seeing such a wound inflicted on Nathan. It was so close to the head that one wrong move would have killed him.
Even though Nathan was shocked by how he got hit, his expression remained unchanged. The pain wasn't hard to endure, so there was no need to show a weakness to the enemy.
Of course, Alan imdiately leaped toward him while swinging his blade, planning to kill him in this attack. The other three familiars had also surrounded him, blocking his escape route.
Nathan grabbed the gun hidden on the back of his pants, but it didn't seem there was any need to use it yet.
"Die." Alan grinned, thinking he had won. To his surprise, there was a sudden surge of killing intent coming from the right side, forcing his body to move on its own to strike whatever was coming from the side.

He could hear the cracking sound of his blade, followed by the shattering noise right after. When his vision shifted to the right, he could see a wolf biting his blade.
He hurriedly raised his right arm, shielding his head from the wolf's paw. Still, that slap actually knocked him into the building in the opposite direction.
His three familiars were also having a hard ti.
The dark cat was surrounded by five mummies, the demon had his head grabbed by a dragon before getting slamd down to the ground, and the zombie swordsman had his whole body covered by fire.
Since the other party didn't hesitate to kill him and the familiars had shown themselves, Nathan imdiately pointed his gun at Alan and shot him, releasing an even bigger beam than the first one.
In that position, Alan shouldn't be able to stop that attack. However, two shadows appeared on his side, striking the beam simultaneously.
The beam was ultimately neutralized, revealing the two last familiars Alan was still hiding. It was a huge blue troll using a spear and a humanoid tree called Ent.
"…" Nathan remained silent. He noticed Anubis had healed him, but the problem had just beco bigger. As he expected, Alan was indeed one of the two grandmasters from the Crimson Skeleton.
"Hahahaha! I have never thought I would see them with my own eyes, the rumored beast familiars! So, you're Nathan, the most unique summoner!" Alan laughed out loud, getting more and more excited.
Still, even though Alan looked like a rash person who only loved battle, he instinctively sensed what was going to happen next.
His focus was on Ricky and Flora.
"Argghhhh!" Ricky scread in pain as his body got electrocuted. He managed to remain standing, but it would only take less than thirty seconds before Flora took him down.
Ultimately, he would have to face Flora and Nathan along with the rest of their familiars simultaneously. There was no way he could win.
Still, Alan had so confidence that he could hold out, at least until the reinforcents arrived. But at that ti, his condition might not be good enough to win against one of them.
Alan considered three possibilities. The first would be holding out, and the result would be sothing he couldn't predict. The second possibility was to bring as many people back as possible, but protecting people, especially normal people, wasn't sothing he'd like to do.
In other words, he could only choose the third option, which was to retreat, leaving behind those people.
Nathan was also considering those three possibilities. That was why he couldn't engage Alan rashly.
There was one thing he was most worried about. If he engaged Alan here, the Crimson Skeleton might spread their people and attack normal people. The soldiers might be able to hold on, but the casualties would be massive.
Even Nathan was forced to choose the third option. At the very least, he could sohow control the end result in this way.
"Get away!" Flora's eyes turned bloodshot as she struck Ricky's chest with her palm. The lightning discharged, stopping the beating heart.
"Gah!" Ricky spat out a mouthful of blood before falling to the ground.
Seeing Flora kill Ricky in just five seconds, Alan imdiately jumped away. "Hahaha. It's going to be interesting. Nathan, huh? The unique summoner! I'll kill you next ti."
"You're not getting away!" Flora gritted her teeth. There was no way he could let Alan escape unscathed, especially after injuring Nathan.
But Nathan had sent forth a bullet in front of her as if telling her to stop.
"Nathan!" Flora was confused.
"Let him go. We can't take him down right now." Nathan shook his head helplessly. The other familiars who were engaged with his familiars had also disappeared due to the distance.
There should be no more problem in exterminating the rest of the thugs.
"The situation is looking bad…" Nathan muttered while glancing at the area. "Jinwu. Go scout the area and check their movent. Once they make any sign of spreading their people to attack the townspeople, inform imdiately because that's when we'll attack them.

"Got it." All three of them headed to their designated positions, while Anubis remained on Nathan's side, still worried that Nathan wouldn't be alright. It was fortunate that they managed to kill all those summoners as quickly as possible. In fact, Fenrir's fur was a bit covered in blood because he recklessly took their attack just to create an opportunity to kill the enemies.
"Flora. You should go to the captain together with Iris. Tell them we have to surround the enemy right now and that the situation has changed.
"Anubis, you and I will take care of the remaining people here. Regroup as quickly as possible."
