A group? That was the first thing on their mind. They didn't know why Nathan chose to make a group, considering they should be sticking together.
Still, Nathan must have a plan. They needed to figure out Nathan's plan without him spelling everything out to them.
Nathan first froze the aliens before them.
"Kun!"
When Peng heard the call, he turned into Kun and dove into the ground, sliding his body to shatter all the ice statues.
Still, two warrior class and several mature class aliens ca forward. One of the warrior class aliens managed to pierce him while the other stopped him.
"Kh." Kun gritted his teeth, but he was still fine. Anubis was healing him.
After that, Nathan recalled Kun and saw a small path. "Flora. Do you see that?"
"Yes." Flora nodded. "Everyone. Focus your attacks on that spot!"
Flora commanded her spirits as she unleashed her lightning to a single spot.
Her spirit followed her and released everything they got in the small gap between the two warrior class aliens. Their attacks erupted and blasted everything on it, widening the small gap.
"Let's escape!" Nathan shouted. He couldn't afford to have the aliens on their back catch up to them first.
Still, even though the lower-level aliens had trouble keeping up with these abilities, the mature class and warrior class aliens seed to have no problem reacting to their advance.
Selena and Alavenya's pair finally understood their roles. Both of them sped up and leaped toward their respective warrior class aliens while asking their familiars to take down the mature class aliens.
"Imperfection!" Selena waved her hand. The explosive burst of ena knocked the alien away, especially with Sera boosting her power. Their familiars worked together to take down three mature class aliens in a single sweep.
Alavenya and Noelle struck the other warrior class alien and knocked it to the ground with their overwhelming combined power. anwhile, Noelle's two familiars easily crushed two mature class aliens, with the cat-girl distracting those two aliens.
The rest of Alavenya's familiars were trying to take down the mature class aliens but failed.
Even so, the small path opened up due to Nathan killing the majority of aliens in a single attack.
Of course, this small path was not an empty one. There were still so aliens in it, but it was less compared to what other sides had.
Nathan and Flora had to fight together to lead the group out of the encirclent. Nathan even had to re-summon Peng to help him.
When Nathan was about to get out of the encirclent, the mutant suddenly lifted up its head.
"Sothing bad is coming!" Fenrir warned them out loud.
"Huh?" Nathan turned around, albeit that 'bad' thing had already reached him.
*Ding!*
A high-pitched noise rang directly in their heads.
"Khhh!" Nathan gritted his teeth, with one eye closing.
"Aaahhhh!" The girls were screaming in pain while closing their ears.
"This is…" Layfon bit his lips. "No way. Is this the rumored unique ability that only an elite class has?"
Layfon had heard that an elite class alien had a unique ability they could use, which made them even more overpowered. For Nathan's previous opponent, the alien from the sea could create a high-pitched roar together that could ss up their attack.
However, this one was different. This high-pitched noise was too painful.
The aliens seed to take advantage of the situation to turn around the situation. So punched the familiars or the girls, but the others were trying to kill them. It was fortunate that they managed to endure the pain to a certain extent, blocking the enemy's attack, albeit barely.
To Nathan's surprise, the ringing sound in his head suddenly vanished.
"Huh?" Nathan looked surprised. In fact, it wasn't just him. All his familiars recovered as well.
"Master. This is a mind attack, sothing similar to telepathy. However, my telepathy uses the link between us as a dium. anwhile, this one can harm us without one.
"You have to use your ena to protect your brain. If you concentrate your energy there, it should reduce the sound quite a bit."
After hearing the situation, Nathan placed his hand on the ground and spread the ice field again. He had to stop the aliens' attacks for a second as he shouted, "Everyone! Gather your ena in your head!"
Those who followed his instruction imdiately had the pain and sound subside, allowing them to fight back.
Still, the situation didn't look that good, especially since the aliens had taken advantage of that mont to close the gap.
Nathan raised his hand and ford an ice crystal on his palm. Then this ice crystal shattered into smaller pieces as Nathan launched them toward their respective targets.
Although he couldn't do it perfectly, giving more ena to increase the power definitely helped him. He could actually utilize the ice elent similar to how he handled bullets.
Despite only producing seven ice shards, these ice shards were simply too extraordinary.
Each of them exploded and created a small field that froze the aliens around it. With this, Nathan could get a more concentrated area to freeze.
"Go. Don't lose this chance now!" Nathan shouted and continued onward.
The group fought fiercely and eventually broke through the enemy's encirclent. Still, there was one problem. The mutant kept using this ability to ss with their mind.
They might be able to stop it with their ena, but they had to apply this ena every second. In other words, the mutant was able to drain them of their ena just by existing.
The longer they prolonged this battle, the more they would be at a disadvantage.
That was why Nathan chose to stick to the plan. The girls might misunderstand him a bit. There was another reason for the pairs to be this way.
Nathan first showed the sign with his order. "Everyone. Turn around!"
"!!!" Even Selena was confused by this decision. They thought they would continue running until the aliens couldn't catch up to them.
However, Nathan already had a plan to annihilate the aliens.
