"Space Elent?" Evelyn crossed her arms. "That's not sothing you should ask soone, you know? Why not just ask to strip naked?"
"Can I?" Nathan asked excitedly, only to receive a murderous gaze from Evelyn. Nathan looked away while rubbing his cheek.
"I know. By providing that information, you might as well tell that person your secret." Nathan smiled wryly. "Then, how about this? If that information ends up being useful, I will give you an artifact."
"An artifact?" Evelyn frowned. "What kind of artifact are you talking about?"
"The artifact I'm about to create." Nathan smiled. Although he needed Evelyn's information, he should be able to create an artifact by himself. Hence, even if Evelyn thought Nathan had a secret, she could only guess instead of knowing it directly.
Of course, this was also a risk, but it was one he was willing to take. The benefits he would get by successfully creating the ring far outweighed the risk.
'As expected, no matter how hard I think about it, I don't understand what this guy is doing. He's simply… doing everything. At first, I thought he was just a clever guy, but he turns out to be able to create a new technique out of nowhere. Then, he's telling he's going to make an artifact?
'Items are divided into four ranks. Common items are basically household items that hold no relation to ena. Above it is a magic item, which is basically a weapon or armor that can be infused with ena.
'Then, there's an epic item, which is similar to the magic item, but the materials and power are so good that they are far superior to magic items. These items are rare, but not that rare, since a lot of people are still using them to summon familiars.
'In fact, it's because of such a characteristic that a familiar with a lot of potential can be summoned.
'Last but not least, an artifact. An artifact is an item that has gone beyond what normal people can think of. Even the ring that the Divine Hand uses to communicate with each other can be classified as an artifact. They're items with a unique ability or power surpassing an epic item.
'And this guy actually thinks he can create an artifact? I admit he's already exceptional by making a magic weapon, which is considered a magic item, but an artifact is not sothing that can easily be created.
'Don't tell , is Evelyn involved in this as well? If I'm not wrong, even lissa is staying in his place.' Evelyn paused for a mont before asking, "I'm going to make sure of this first. Are Vivian and lissa involved?"
"Huh? Why would they get involved in this project?" Nathan tilted his head in confusion. "I'm not going to trick you or anything. Or are you thinking that I'm using this project as a way to tell them that you're still alive? But my master is already aware of you."
"…" Evelyn sighed. "If they're not involved, then fine. However, what kind of artifact are you planning to make?"
Evelyn didn't really have a high hope, fully aware of how hard it was to create one.
Nathan raised one finger. "Aren't we having trouble whenever we're trying to secure items? Even if our enemies have a lot of docunts, we can only grab a few at a ti. I'm thinking about creating an artifact that allows to store everything."
"Hmm?" Evelyn didn't know how to react after hearing the answer. "Are you… insane? I can understand if you want to make an artifact, but embedding an elent into the artifact…"
Nathan waved his hand. "I know that, but I'm not here to argue with you. I just want to know whether you want to cooperate or not. If I succeed, I will give you so."
Evelyn paused for a mont, thinking, 'He definitely lacks common sense, but he's not a person who tries sothing without a reason. He might actually find a way to do it, but what he lacks is just the knowledge.
'Although Evelyn and lissa are smart, their knowledge about the space elent is low. And it's not like this guy will use the knowledge to harm or sothing.'
After so consideration, Evelyn sighed. "Fine. Let's move to another room."
Evelyn guided him to their eting room. "So, tell , what do you want to know?"
"There is one thing I'd like to confirm first. I have three concepts that I want to realize, and I want you to let know which one is actually possible." Nathan raised three fingers.
"Go on." Evelyn nodded.
"The first concept is to activate a teleportation magic circle similar to what we have in the city or the teleportation circle you've set up for . Do you think it's possible to create a portable teleportation circle?
"For example, you create a scroll containing that teleportation circle and activate it anywhere? The other teleportation circle will be in another room or more like a storage.
"Hence, when we activate it, we can send the items into this storage room and keep it there. And if possible, I want to make it a two-way teleportation, which ans I can store and take out the items."
Evelyn answered without hesitation, as though she had tested it since the beginning. "No. This is not possible. First of all, the biggest problem is taking the items out. What you want to take out has to be inside the magic circle, so when stuff is piling up, there's a chance it will go away.
"If it malfunctions or gets ssed up due to the item, it can also lead to other problems. So, it's not recomnded.
"In addition, when teleporting the item, the farther the distance, the more ena required. If your storage is so far, it will cost too much to activate, which results in this thod being not viable.
"However, the concept itself works. Are you trying to improve it?" Evelyn asked.
Nathan thought about this concept because he wanted to combine it with this world's technology, but it didn't seem to work. Hence, he could only move on to the next concept, which was his own adjustnt for an already existing item. "No. Let's continue to the second concept. I want to create a space bag."
