Chapter 909: Notebook

On the other hand, Flora and Noelle encountered a similar thing in the building that was supposed to be the house.

While it was bigger than a one-family house, it didn’t seem to host over two families.

Another plaque was attached above the door.

“The resting place of the Truth Seeker.”

Flora frowned. “He called himself Truth Seeker? There’s no record about that, right?”

“I can’t rember soone known as the Truth Seeker.” Noelle shook her head.

Flora nodded. Once confirming the narcissistic side of the one living here, Flora carefully pushed the door.

The fla spirit ford a small fire to illuminate the inside.

It was a ss. There were so many items scattered on the floor, as though this place had been ransacked.

However, if one took a closer look at the items, they realized nothing was missing. There was a pair of forks and knives on the ground along with a single broken plate.

Flora’s heart beat faster, thinking the hidden creature was actually hiding inside this house due to the ss it left behind. Hence, Noelle took the lead as they carefully moved around the house.

They passed the living room, which seed to have been fused with a small kitchen, to the next room, which turned out to be a bedroom. It was a two-story building, but surprisingly, there was only one floor.

The mont they reached the next room, the space actually expanded. The wall was replaced with shelves that stacked all the way to the ceiling.

“Should we?” Flora asked.

Noelle pointed at the desk in the corner of the room. “Look at that.”

This bedroom only consisted of a single small bed and the remaining space was dedicated to books. There was a table and a chair where the owner usually read the book.

While there was no skeleton left, considering it had been hundreds of years, they noticed a small mark left behind by a skeleton that had been exposed to one place for so long.

It looked like the owner was writing sothing, considering the book on the table was opened with a small circular tal on the side.

Flora couldn’t help but take a peek at the content.

“I’m seeking the beginning at my end, but I can only find the end of my beginning.”

“Aliens are not the beginning of conflict, but the black cell is the beginning of this world’s end.”

“!!!’ Flora raised her head and turned to Noelle with a dumbfounded expression. “This…”

“It’s sothing we know as well. The black cell is the one controlling the alien, right? While it’s not public knowledge, both of us have known about it for a long ti.” Noelle nodded.

Flora contemplated for a few seconds. She carefully flipped the page so as to avoid ruining it.

“There are good aliens, and there are bad aliens. There are aliens acting with instinct, but there are aliens using their wisdom.

“They are inherently superior, but not inherently bad without doing anything good to other species. However, the black cell is inherently bad and superior. They eliminate the threat, take control over lives, and beco the supre.

“However, there is an alien without a black cell.”

“!!!” Flora and Noelle were stunned at the sa ti. The last sentence was sothing they heard for the first ti.

Every alien they had seen had a black cell on their bodies. It was what made them even tougher.

But if there was no black cell, didn’t it an the alien was just being an alien? It wasn’t inherently bad, like the black cell. If that was the case, what was the alien?

The answer to the question in their mind was on the next page.

Once Flora flipped the page one more ti, they felt chills down their spine.

“Aliens are like humans. Civilized. Humans kill, humans breed, and humans grow stronger. Aliens do the sa thing.

“What differentiates humans and aliens is their appearance. The alien might look grotesque to our eyes, but humans might look the sa to the alien’s eyes.

“They are a being far superior to the human, but at the sa ti, they are not interested in conquering all worlds.

“Their aggression cos directly from the black cell. At the sa ti, they take other species as their slaves, treating them as nothing but toys.

“What are aliens? They’re a species similar to a human but born with extraordinary power.

“What are black cells? They’re parasites. They’re nothing but sothing that both humans and aliens have to exterminate. Choosing their owner from a higher being while trampling over the lower being.

“They kill those who threaten them but spare those who can’t threaten them, watching them as if they are nothing but toys for their amusent.

“After several research, while the black cell is an independent living being, they have extracted so portion of their host, whether it’s their habit or personality, while still maintaining their purpose.”

“…” Flora gulped down. “Aliens who have no black cells… Superior beings… If this kind of information is to be released…”

“Yes. I’m afraid the society will collapse. So might even worship aliens, but from what I have read so far, it seems that the aliens that are attacking us are those with black cells.

“There’s a chance the real alien won’t attack us unless it’s for their amusent or other purposes. They won’t indiscriminately attack us like the one with the black cell.

“But it’s rather vague. I don’t know much about aliens in the first place. Still, it feels like they’re able to move from one world to another, conquering them for their own satisfaction.”

Flora nodded in agreent. “Yeah. The aliens are an invading species, while the Black Cell is not. But the black cell is the aggressive one. Hence, with the black cell retaining a portion of their characteristic, the combination of both of them makes them dangerous.”

“Indeed. They aggressively invade other worlds and exterminate everything that can threaten them.”

Flora took a deep breath. “We call Nathan here or continue reading?”

“You can continue reading. I will search for anything useful in this house before informing Nathan.”

“Alright then.” Flora agreed and flipped the next page, only to be shocked even harder by its content.
