Chapter 929: Summoning
“This is…” Selena furrowed her eyebrows.
“I’m afraid the aliens are going to break through any mont.” Brunhild raised her spear. She activated her God of Valkyrja. “I’m going to protect all of you. Please clear it fast.”
Selena exchanged gazes with Sera. They hurriedly finished up the summoning circles.
It took them 13 minutes to complete such a complex summoning circle, but they didn’t have ti to be proud of themselves. The longer they waited, the more dangerous it beca.
Sera shouted, “Risa, Brunhild. The three of us will be protecting her. Get ready!”
“Yes.” They all stepped outside the summoning circle and raised their own ena.
Selena, on the other hand, closed her eyes while extending her hand. Her own ena leaked out of her body as she activated the summoning circle. Because it was a different summoning circle, the chant also followed the one that existed a few hundred years ago.
“I am Selena Ashton, a Summoner of the Old. O’ World of Summoner, heed my call and open the portal to another world.
“Please accept this lowly being’s offering. My blood will be the connection of this world, my body is yours to access, and my mind shall intertwine with our life.
“Co forth, the peerless being who governs over blood, the creature of the night, the progenitor of vampires, Lilith!”
The summoning circle shone, showing that the chant and the summoning circle worked.
“!!!” Sera and the others couldn’t help but glance at her, happy that everything worked.
However, the situation might not be as good as they imagined.
The mont the magic circle shone, the three circles began to envelop the offering in golden light.
The blood offering felt like it was dying the light, gradually dyeing it in red.
In addition, the blood vein allowed the red light to start gobbling up the bloodstone that imprisoned Selena’s father, turning it into a massive blood bubble.
Still, this bloodstone carried so much energy, not only after absorbing all that energy from the outside aliens that had fallen but also from Count Ashton.
As a result, the mont the blood bubble ford, the energy inside the bloodstone dispersed into the surroundings, which was the one that Nathan and the others sensed.
“Selena!” Sera warned her.
“!!!” Selena noticed that her father’s body was falling from the red light. She hurriedly rushed toward him and caught him before his body landed on the ground.
“Toss him to . I’ll take care of him! You should focus on the summoning!” Sera continued.
Although Selena didn’t want to do it, she knew this was the only right thing to do. She couldn’t afford to have anything ss her summoning up.
She used her spiritual energy to send her father to Sera. The latter caught him gently and put him on the ground, away from the summoning circle.
“His vitals are alright! Don’t worry! Focus on the summoning!” Sera hurriedly checked his vitals, showing that he was still alive and assuring Selena.
Feeling relieved, Selena’s face turned solemn. She looked at the red light that gradually turned into a cocoon as if forming the familiar’s body.
However, they suddenly heard a roar from the ground.
“!!!” Selena rembered the deal she had made with Nathan. If he ca up and interrupted her summoning, it ant they had to wait. If Nathan didn’t co up, she should proceed with the summoning.
That roar showed that his hard work paid off. There was indeed a hidden danger in this place, so she had to focus on the summoning, not wasting any ti.
That roar caused much more harm than she could imagine. After all, the aliens beca agitated, causing them to sacrifice their own lives to break through.
And one of them managed to break through.
“Raaa!” A huge, beast-like alien crashed into the wall, shattering it.
“!!!” Sera activated the artifact, forming a barrier that stopped the charge as well as the rubble from going to Selena. “I’m blocking it. The rest of you, kill!”
Brunhild was the first one to react as she sliced the alien’s head. However, the destruction was much more serious than they thought.
The aliens saw the gap and noticed what was happening. They instantly dropped everything they were trying to do and just pushed forward.
“Not good!”
Peng’s wind tried to pull them back, but the aliens didn’t care. They kept pushing forward, even if they needed to sacrifice their lives.
“Tsk! Blood net!” Risa raised both palms and tried to patch the hole with a net made of blood, but the aliens ramd their bodies, either breaking through the blood net or crashing into the rest of the wall.
And they chose the second. Another wall was broken as more and more aliens ca forth.
“Kh.” Risa tried to form another blood net, but it was too weak to withstand all the aliens.
Brunhild waved her spear, cutting down all the aliens that tried to enter.
But they wouldn’t be able to stop all these aliens from coming, especially in this situation. If they had more space to fight, they would be able to obliterate them, but if Risa used her blood storm here, the place would collapse.
That was why there were limited things they could do to stop them.
“Is this it?” Risa gritted her teeth, one eye closed. She poured as much ena as she could, but it was completely useless. The blood net kept getting stretched and eventually they broke through. “NO!”
Risa raised her hand, trying to patch up the hole, but the aliens were pouring in. She had to activate another ability to stop them, but all of a sudden, a seductive voice echoed in her right ear, whispering, “That’s not how you use blood.”
“!!!” Risa widened her eyes in shock. All of a sudden, the alien at the very front had its body shivering and its movent halted. Then its body snapped in a weird way and gradually turned into a ball before its body exploded, causing the blood inside it to burst.
The blood that burst bounced around like a living spike. They pierced through one alien after another, clearing up all the aliens in this small space in an instant.
This was the first ti Risa saw such a level of control in blood.
