“Please teach about magic.”
“!!!” Evelyn didn’t expect this request.
“Ti elent…” Bella sucked in a cold breath. Nathan had beco more and more monstrous than she thought. He was more monstrous than the monsters in history. First, an absolute elent, then this ti, he had an ice elent.
To have an elent, one needed to have a source, which could only be gained through the lifebound contract.
If Nathan had multiple elents like this, he was basically standing at the sa level as Evelyn. No, he might be beyond Evelyn, as she realized there was no pattern in Nathan’s elent.

Nathan shook his head. “No. I did tell you from the beginning, right? I ca for a trade.”
“A request, huh?” The request he ntioned was not about asking her for sothing. Instead, it was a request that a rcenary would get for a reward.
Evelyn pondered. The request wouldn’t be that hard, considering Nathan wasn’t an outsider. But Nathan’s request was slightly concerning since it would be the sa as sharing her own thod to utilize her magic or co up with one.
In addition, that would also be how Nathan did it in the future.
Evelyn snapped her fingers, forming a magic circle underneath them. They then disappeared from the room.
“…” Bella pouted. “I guess I can’t listen to them. Not fair.”
“!!!” Nathan looked around. They actually arrived in the forest outside the mansion. “Why do you bring here?”
“If you are requesting to teach you, you should know I’m not cheap, right? Or are you going to say you’re asking this as my subordinate?”
Nathan’s expression turned solemn. The second part ant he would basically beco Neyeid and Sonia. When that happened, he would probably regret what ca next, even if it ant he could get Evelyn to teach him for free.
Nathan shook his head calmly. “I’m asking you as an equal. Of course, I’m aware of your worth. You are Evelyn Lavender, a woman who once stood at the peak of the younger generation.
“You were so talented that people believed you could stand toe-to-toe against the current world’s strongest, Elysion Aquamoon.
“Having such a person to teach magic is obviously like a dream co true. However, that’s exactly why I’m making this request to you.
“I haven’t prepared the reward this ti, so basically, this will be owing you a favor. If you want to destroy the organization behind the Divine Hand, I will destroy it for you.”
Evelyn walked closer before whispering, “In that case, if I ask you…”
“You want my body?” Nathan took a step back, acting as if he had been wronged. “I can give you my body, but you can’t have my heart.”
“Stop acting.” Evelyn’s eyebrows twitched. She wanted to pay Nathan back for all the teasing she was subjected to, but Nathan managed to counter it by being even more shaless. She let out a long sigh before asking, “If I ask you to tell about the source of your elent as my price?”
Nathan raised his head before shaking his head. “Unfortunately, I can’t fulfill that request.”
Even though they had known each other for a while, the Soul Contract wasn’t sothing he should disclose to an outsider, no matter how much he liked Evelyn.
Of course, it would be a different case if Evelyn beca his. But that was just for the future. He knew Evelyn might kill him if he overdid it anyway.
Evelyn crossed her arms. “What if I tell you I don’t want anything else other than that secret?”
“That’s a sha…” Nathan smiled helplessly. “I have no other choice but to ask Sage Leyfon to teach magic. Curse is also considered a rare elent.
This was Nathan’s stance. The reason he ca to Evelyn was because he believed he was closer to Evelyn than Leyfon. In the end, Leyfon would accept him simply because his disciple was Selena.
However, Evelyn was different. She would accept it because of mutual agreent, allowing her to have an equal standing on the agreent. While Nathan needed soone to teach him about magic, he wasn’t desperate enough to lower his standing.
His last move would be asking Charlotte, but Charlotte’s teaching wouldn’t be as effective as Leyfon or Evelyn.
After understanding everything, Evelyn made her decision. “Alright. I will teach you.”
“Do you have anything you wish for ?” Nathan asked.
Evelyn shook her head. “Not at the mont. I will keep this favor first.”
“I have to remind you that I won’t be paying for more than it’s worth.”
“We’ll see…”
“…” Nathan observed Evelyn’s poker face. It felt like she had a plan in mind, but he didn’t know what she planned to request. “I understand. Make sure I can do that favor.”
“I know…” Evelyn smiled. Evelyn was probably the only person in this world who had seen the darkness in Nathan’s heart.
Nathan was a devil. Even if she owed him a favor, Nathan would show no hesitation in killing her the mont she struck his reverse scale, in this case, his family. He was the type of person who would kill her first and repay the favor in other ways instead of letting her live to repay that favor.
Of course, Evelyn had another plan in mind, which she couldn’t do at the mont, but it might be different in the future. At the sa ti, she didn’t really know whether she should proceed with the plan or not.
Evelyn raised one finger. “Still, even if I can’t ask you about your secret, I still need to know one thing so that I know how to teach you.
