Jiang Cheng knew deeply the benefits of spiritual power training, so for his newly admitted disciple Yanran, his initial training thod for her was to make her grasp the basic spiritual power training.

The training of spiritual power was too important. He was determined that once Yanran developed her own spiritual power and integrated it into her skills, she would undergo a transformative change! If she could take it a step further, diligently training to make her spiritual power increasingly powerful and a part she could wield at will, then her achievents would soar, eventually becoming a formidable being.

Currently, what he had to teach her was the simple oral exercises and postures for training, which are the most basic thods for training spiritual power.

He had no doubt about how outstanding his first disciple would be, and she would beco his pride, making Jiang Cheng excited.

On the other hand, Yanran's excitent was completely typical of a girl; she was not the type to find a famous ntor, train earnestly, and then beco famous under his guidance. What excited her first was that she had gained another family mber. In Yanran's eyes, the word "teacher" was equally important, but what she valued more was the teacher's attitude, both a friend and a family, the feeling like a spring breeze when treating students.

In a word, she valued the emotion between teacher and student more than anything she might learn, which seed not as important in her mind.

This was entirely a thought from her female perspective.

So the philosophers sighed, won are truly strange creatures.

Yanran's eyes reddened again; this sensitive and fragile little elf felt lucky that she was no longer alone in this world. Having a teacher ant having soone who cared for her. At the sa ti, she thought of the elders who cared for her—they loved, cherished, and pampered her; yet, she hadn't protected them well.

Whenever she thought of their painful expressions and tragic cries before being killed by that monster, she couldn't help but be grief-stricken.

I will definitely kill that monster to avenge you! Yanran silently vowed in her heart.

Jiang Cheng, serving as Yanran's teacher, prepared to start with improving Yanran's spiritual power. As a person with superpowers, he deeply understood the importance of spiritual power. To beco a strong individual, training spiritual power was the necessary path.

And he firmly believed that once Yanran mastered the use of spiritual power, the changes it brought would surprise even her; and if she had sufficient talent and extrely tenacious will, she would beco a powerful entity.

Moreover, Jiang Cheng firmly believed that Yanran possessed all the excellent qualities he desired.

He was full of confidence in his disciple.

Currently, the most important thing was to find the monster that killed Yanran's companions. Fortunately, he felt it wasn't far away.

With their emotions settled, they set off again on the road ahead.

Along the path looking for the monster, more and more traces began to appear.

The monster had devoured several elders' bodies and now, in its waste, they found human bones. Initially, it was a shinbone; as they gradually approached the monster, they also discovered a human skull. At this point, they were nearing the wide river.

Turning past a cluster of trees, they saw two beasts in fierce battle.

Flying in the sky, with magnificent red feathers and continuously spewing scorching fireballs from its mouth, was the Flaming Firebird that had chased them that day, battling none other than the Four-headed Serpent Monster whose head was severed by Jiang Cheng.

The Flaming Firebird, flying in the air, had the innate advantage. The large flas it spewed, the sparks scattered by its wings, along with its powerful wings, sharp beak, and talons, gave it the upper hand entirely.

The Four-headed Serpent Monster aid its heads at the sky to attack, but its movents weren't as fast as the Flaming Firebird. Whenever it tried to spit venom, the Flaming Firebird could easily dodge with a flap of its wings, and its heads and tail, which were also its weapons, weren't much use.

Perhaps realizing this, the Four-headed Serpent Monster coiled tightly like a spring, trying to lure the Flaming Firebird to fly lower for an easier attack.

Evidently, the Flaming Firebird was a bit more astute, always flying above the Four-headed Serpent Monster, never reacting to its postures as long as the monster was within its attack range. It simply poured fire clusters down from midair, occasionally attacking with its sharp beak and talons. When the Four-headed Serpent Monster tried to counterattack, it easily flew back to a higher altitude with a flap of its wings.

This dominant attack made the Four-headed Serpent Monster only able to fend off, purely passive in defense.

The two individuals were getting closer, able to see clearly that one eye of the Four-eyed Serpent Monster had been damaged by the Flaming Firebird. Whether it was by its talons or beak, it was now a deep black hole, constantly bleeding.

The Four-headed Serpent Monster's body was equally scarred and flesh torn, but interestingly, even in such a passive situation, it didn't retreat in the face of death. Jiang Cheng had fought this monster before and after cutting off one of its heads, it had fled hastily.

Judging by the current situation, Jiang Cheng calculated that if the Four-headed Serpent Monster didn't flee soon, it would be doing well to last ten more minutes under the fierce attacks of the Flaming Firebird.

Although the Flaming Firebird was also a monster, it was the mother of that lovely little bird. Although it had attacked them once, Yanran wanted to help the Flaming Firebird due to her affection for it; the hideous Four-eyed Serpent Monster was their long-sought target. Killing it to avenge Yanran's deceased companions was its only fate.

When Yanran quietly took up her bow and arrow, getting ready to shoot, Jiang Cheng stopped her. Seeing Yanran's anxious gaze, Jiang Cheng was stirred. Three arrows, ford by his spiritual power, appeared in his hand.

Although Jiang Cheng had simply introduced the function of spiritual power and basic beginner thods during their walk, it was clear Yanran was still amazed by Jiang Cheng's marvelous skill.

Jiang Cheng placed the three arrows beside Yanran, with subtle movent yet no sound. But in Yanran's heart, the ssage automatically surfaced: "I'll go to the back of the Four-eyed Serpent Monster to prevent it from retreating back to the river if it senses danger; be careful."

Yanran nodded. Jiang Cheng's form flickered and vanished silently.

Concentrating her mind, Yanran drew the bowstring, aiming at the belly scales of the Four-eyed Serpent Monster. Jiang Cheng had told her that the outer skin of such monsters was extrely tough. With her crude and poorly made bow, she wouldn't inflict much damage, and to kill effectively, she had to aim at the vital parts.
