The hotel owner has been quite troubled recently; he originally just wanted to live out his later years quietly, not caring much about making money from the hotel.
As he got older, having endless idle days wasn't the solution, so he opened this hotel to pass the ti.
What the owner enjoyed was holding a glass of red wine when there were few guests, sitting under the sun umbrella outside, quietly watching the crowd and so beautiful scenery outside.
He liked living this way.
But now, his life has been completely disrupted.
Ever since the alien girl who stayed here fild a few comrcials, many strangers have co to his counter to inquire about her, and so journalists have even taken pictures of him and his hotel without permission, putting them in entertainnt news publications.
Although he didn't have any information to provide to these people, they would persistently wait until the hotel owner got angry before reluctantly leaving.
But soon, the next wave of people would co.
If the owner wasn't such a kind person, he certainly wouldn't rent the rooms to them again.
Yanran had also felt the hotel owner's indifference these days. Apart from feeling very helpless in her heart, she didn't know what to do.
Especially her ntor, who recently didn't want to go out with her, giving her a sense of loneliness she didn't like.
So the young girl wanted to have a good talk with her ntor tonight.
She thanked him for taking her away from that Naless Planet and for being her ntor.
He had helped her out of difficult situations, and she felt that she owed him a debt of gratitude.
In a short ti, Yanran felt she owed her ntor too much.
Teacher." Ran called out to Jiang Cheng.
Jiang Cheng looked neither cold nor warm.
"Teacher, let's leave here tomorrow morning. We already have enough travel expenses." Yanran said.
Jiang Cheng turned his head and surveyed Yanran.
"Is what you said true?"
"Of course." Yanran replied confidently.
"Don't you want to live here anymore?" Jiang Cheng asked, "Honestly, I think this kind of life suits you better."
He stood up and said while walking, "People here are naturally indifferent and very warm towards outsiders, and you've already gained so fa here. If you stay here later, even if you casually open a shop, you'll likely do very well." Yanran looked into Jiang Cheng's eyes, "But I want to continue the journey with you, Teacher."
Jiang Cheng also looked at her, "You won't regret it?"
Yanran shook her head decisively, "Never."
"Alright, then according to your wishes, we will leave here tomorrow morning." Jiang Cheng agreed to Yanran's proposal.
The young girl completely relaxed, relieved that her ntor did not abandon her nor did anything to upset her. Jiang Cheng looked at Yanran and said, "You may not understand; when soone erges from a poor place and then suddenly arrives in a sowhat affluent area, they often beco absorbed in it."
Yanran listened attentively to his words.
Clearly, her serious attitude made her ntor very satisfied.
Jiang Cheng continued, "You co from an imnsely harsh and barren planet, where not even basic safety and food can be guaranteed. Now, looking at this small town, you can see that life here is affluent and relatively leisurely."
"I am worried that this comfort may destroy your ambition, make you slacken, or even cause you to fall."
Jiang Cheng stopped Yanran from speaking.
"Since you have asked to be your ntor, there are so things that I must tell you. To achieve sufficient accomplishnts, you must possess strong spiritual power, which is not easy to cultivate. Its greatest enemy cos from within."
"No matter the environnt, if you cannot consistently maintain a calm heart, then I advise you to stay in this small town."
"This place is very suitable for soone like you."
"I advise you to consider carefully and not rush to reply to ."
"No need to consider!" Yanran firmly replied, "I would rather follow you, Teacher, and continue the journey."
Jiang Cheng had nothing more to say.
Yanran pulled a funny face and smiled at Jiang Cheng, "Teacher, don't even think about chasing away. I'm sticking with you."
In the evening, Yanran packed both of their luggage. She told Jiang Cheng that she needed to go out to buy so drinking water for the journey tomorrow.
When Yanran finished buying water and was heading back to the inn, a little child ran over breathlessly, "Miss, your little flaming bird was taken by bad people."
Yanran didn't say a word; she dropped the water in her hands and rushed toward the town square.
At the town square, people were discussing what had just happened. Several children stood by awkwardly, two of them crying out of fear.
When they saw Yanran approach, they began to tell her in a flurry of words about what had happened.
Ever since Little Flaming Firebird received treats from the kids at the town square, maybe because she was enchanted by their amazed looks, she would often co to play at the town square, snatching bits of their snacks to eat.
This had beco her daily routine; except for sleep, she spent all day at the town square, where there were always various foods available, not only from the children but sotis from the adults as well.
Turns out, Little Flaming Firebird is quite a little glutton.
Today, as dusk fell, Little Flaming Firebird was at the town square with the children, just as she did every day.
It had been over twenty days since arriving on Erma Planet, and Little Flaming Firebird had visibly grown. She now resembled her mother.
Her radiant red feathers, golden beak, and claws, along with a few long feathers on her head, gave her a unique presence.
However, this spirited bird had never noticed the cold gaze lurking behind her, observing her secretly.
Yanran's Little Flaming Firebird was truly a foodie, always running to the town square for treats from the kids, sotis staying there for the entire day.
When Yanran decided to depart tomorrow morning to leave this small town, a child ran to tell her that Little Flaming Firebird had been captured.
Since Little Flaming Firebird was very young, Yanran had always watched over her discreetly; when her mother went out to forage, she would bring Little Flaming Firebird out to play. In monts of danger, Little Flaming Firebird repeatedly ca to her aid.
Little Flaming Firebird was not only her childhood playmate but also her savior.
Thus, Little Flaming Firebird held an extrely important place in Yanran's heart.
When Yanran learned from the children's chaotic recounts about Little Flaming Firebird being kidnapped, the sky had already begun to darken.
