"..."
The crowd was speechless.
’Are you fucking kidding ? Did you really co here to fish?’
’Bro, you’re not here to fish, you’re here to rub it in our faces.’
This scene made all the onlookers curse inwardly.
A few minutes later, the fish’s stamina was waning and the line began to slacken. Seeing his chance, and with a reminder from the guy next to him, Xu Yun quickly reeled in the line.
After another round of tug-of-war, Xu Yun used his brute strength to finally pull the fish to the bank and out of the water.
Just the splash it made on the surface, revealing a glimpse of its true form, was enough to send the crowd on the shore into a frenzy.
Over a ter long!!!
"It’s a yellowcheek carp! No wonder it was so hard to land!"
"Holy shit! Judging by its length, that fish has to be at least 55 pounds."
"This has to be the biggest fish caught in West Lake so far this year."
"Beginner’s luck is no joke!"
Following everyone’s shouted instructions, he finally exhausted the great fish’s stamina and dragged it to the shore.
The man next to him saw this and imdiately rushed over with a fish gripper to secure the fish.
Then, with great effort, he helped haul it onto the bank.
Once on the bank, the fish looked much bigger than it had in the water.
"This fish... it’s gotta be 77 pounds!"
The man said, panting from exhaustion, "It’s so heavy. I could barely move it."
Xu Yun was super excited too!
This was way more exciting than buying any car or watch.
Su Mu, Yu Xuan, and Song Xiaowei were also astonished and thrilled to see such a huge fish.
"Co on, bro, give a hand lifting it up."
Xu Yun said happily, "I’ll hold it, and you can take a picture for ."
"Okay."
" too, too! I want to be in it too."
Hearing this, the three won beside him ran over to stand next to him.
And so, Xu Yun stood in the middle, holding a huge fish in his arms, flanked by three beautiful won.
*CLICK.*
The mont was frozen in ti, a group photo captured!
Su Mu asked, "What should we do with this fish? It’s so big, we can’t possibly take it with us."
"How about we take it to the hotel tonight and have them prepare a fish feast?"
Song Xiaowei said, "A fish this big could feed the entire hotel."
"Ladies, this yellowcheek carp is fun to catch, but the at isn’t very tasty."
The fellow angler next to them explained, "It’s called the ’tiger of the water.’ It’s all muscle, really tough. If you want to eat it, I’d recomnd curing it to make dried fish."
"No need."
Xu Yun put the fish down and said, "Fishing is all about the fun of it. Let’s release it. It’s not easy for it to grow this big."
"Bro, you’ve got a big heart," the angler next to him said in admiration.
So, the two of them worked together to get the fish back into the water.
The fish floated, stunned, for a mont. After recovering, it gave a flick of its tail, kicked up a spray of water, and vanished.
His fishing craving satisfied and his arms already feeling weak, Xu Yun didn’t want to fish anymore.
He handed the fishing rod to the guy next to him and said casually, "Bro, as we agreed, this rod setup is yours."
"Thank you."
The man took the fishing rod, his heart pounding with excitent.
’I finally have a top-tier setup of my own!’
’I could cry!’
This scene once again made the other onlookers burn with envy.
"You keep at it, then. We’re heading out."
After giving away the rod, Xu Yun turned and left with the three won.
He’d been so focused on holding the fish for the photo that he now reeked of it. He had to get back to the hotel and change.
Arriving at their lakeside villa at the hotel, Xu Yun went in to shower and change while the three won sat in the living room and chatted.
Song Xiaowei told Su Mu about her interest in joining the company.
Su Mu said it wouldn’t be a problem, but the salary probably wouldn’t be great. It would be a base salary plus a commission based on performance.
Moreover, according to her plan, she wanted to start an agency to sign online strears and build an influencer-based business.
Song Xiaowei’s image was actually a perfect fit.
Going from a TV host to an internet strear... to be honest, the drop in status was a little hard for her to accept.
But the terms Su Mu offered were very tempting.
A guaranteed minimum of 10,000 a month in the beginning, and later, once she built a following and had traffic, it would be commission-based.
On one hand, there was the money; on the other, her ideals.
Song Xiaowei was in a difficult position.
"It’s fine. You can think it over before you give an answer."
After saying this, Su Mu turned and said, "Yu Xuan, I’ll share a room with you tonight, is that okay?"
"Of course, Miss Su."
"Didn’t we agree that you were going to spend ti with today?"
Xu Yun, having changed his clothes, erged from the other room at so point and said, "What, are you backing out of our bet?"
"..." Su Mu was speechless.
Such a blunt and direct statent certainly made Song Xiaowei and Yu Xuan a little awkward.
"Brother Xu, I’m going to go back to my room to rest for a bit. I’m a little tired. See you tonight."
Yu Xuan also stood up. "Boss, I’m going to take a walk. I’ll co find you later."
Watching the two won leave awkwardly, Su Mu shot Xu Yun an angry, embarrassed glare.
"Watch what you say! There are other people here!"
"It’s fine. One of them already knows about our relationship, and the other is my private secretary. Neither of them will gossip."
Xu Yun smiled. "So don’t worry, Li Jinshu won’t find out."
"..." Su Mu was speechless again.
"By the way, you’ve been out for a while. Don’t you want to take a shower too?"
Xu Yun said, "Don’t worry, I’ll guard the door for you. No one will be able to get in."
"I’m more worried about the guard robbing the vault himself!"
Su Mu said irritably, "You just can’t resist the slightest bit of temptation from a woman."
"That’s only because you have that kind of charm. I wouldn’t even spare a glance for other won."
"Is that so?"
For the first ti, Su Mu took the initiative and asked, "Whose bed were you in last night?"
"???" Xu Yun was stunned.
’No way. Could she know I was in Li Jinshu’s room?’
He answered calmly, "At my own place, of course."
