He turned to see Xino.

Since they had both been drinking, neither could drive. They called for a car and went to Jiangcheng’s night market.
The place was bustling, with all sorts of street food stalls, barbecue joints, and open-air food courts.
The air was thick with a lively, smoky energy.
"Do you eat at places like this often?"
"Not really. Just occasionally."
Xino said, "A lot of my friends won’t co here because they think it’s too chaotic."

Xino walked over, grabbed a stainless steel tray, and carefully picked out a huge selection from the display shelves before handing it to the owner to grill.
When she ca back, she was also carrying a case of beer.
Xu Yun said in surprise, "Still drinking?"
"Barbecue without beer has no soul."
Xino grinned. "I might not be able to outdrink you when it cos to baijiu, but I can definitely keep up for a few beers."
"Alright, then."
Xu Yun couldn’t help but say, "Your personality isn’t very feminine."
"Are you saying I’m not womanly?"
"No, it’s just... you’re different from any other woman I’ve t."
Xu Yun said, "When I first saw you singing on stage, I thought you were a very gentle woman."
"But when you ca down and said you wanted to drink with , I felt like you were a completely different person."
"I think it’s strange myself!"
Xino said self-deprecatingly, "Maybe I have multiple personalities. Are you scared?"
"What’s there to be scared of? Are you going to eat ?"
"Maybe."
A short while later, the owner brought over the grilled skewers, giving Xu Yun a look that was full of aning.
Because besides so of the more common items, the skewers Xino had ordered consisted mostly of oysters, chives, and lamb kidneys.
Xu Yun looked at the food before him, felt the owner’s gaze, and said with a helpless tone, "Do I look like I need this much help? You ordered all this aphrodisiac stuff!"
"Who knows?"
Xino giggled. "I just figured, whether you need it or not, it never hurts for a man to... recharge a little."
"Well, I can’t thank you enough."
Xu Yun grinned. "Your ex-boyfriend must have been a very satisfied man."
"I’ve never had a boyfriend."
Xino looked up. "You’re the first man I’ve ever asked out to eat."
"Uh."
Xu Yun asked curiously, "You’re so beautiful. It’s impossible that no one’s into you."
"It’s because they can’t outdrink ."
Xino said matter-of-factly, "I’ve always said that any boyfriend I have must, first and foremost, be able to beat in a drinking contest."
Xu Yun was speechless. "..."
