(Three Updates) 875: Chapter 885: Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals!
(Three Updates) Tang Zhong stood frozen in shock at the scene unfolding before him, now standing at the entrance of the cave.
He saw bubbles continuously rising from within.
These bubbles were colorful and enchanting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from afar.
Not just that, but the surrounding walls further left Tang Zhong astonished.
They were covered in a layer of shells, resembling the illustrations of a Dragon Palace from a book!
Tang Zhong was completely srized.
He couldn’t help but wonder—what kind of place was this, so unbelievably magical?
It didn’t seem like a dangerous place, yet so many soldiers from the Lucao Kingdom had entered only to be obliterated by those beams of light.
Tang Zhong knew he had to stay alert.
Should sothing go awry and he lost his life here, it would be an unimaginable tragedy.
Up ahead, the soldiers from the Lucao Kingdom were still proceeding forward.
General Lute and other officers were among them, equally stunned by the sight before them.
“My god, what is this place?”
“There’s actually sothing this peculiar within the North Sea Valley?”
“The High Priest said treasures were here, and it turns out to be true!” Lute thought to himself.
The place truly resembled the records of a Dragon Palace.
At this mont, a gigantic statue ca into view ahead.
It seed to be a massive crab, standing twenty ters tall, lifelike in its design, appearing to be carved from stone.
The soldiers from the Lucao Kingdom were all left in awe.
“This… thing, it looks almost real!”
“Yeah, wow… Who the hell built this place?
This crab is so lifelike!
I’ve never seen anything like it!”
“Sa here!”
The soldiers began approaching the stone crab, eager to take a closer look.
Tang Zhong was still imrsed in the surreal scenes unfolding before him, but his strong Soul Power allowed him to sense a surge of vitality in the surroundings.
He quickly began scanning for its source, and when he located it, his face changed dramatically.
The source of the vitality was coming from the stone crab.
At this mont, a scarlet glow shimred across the stone crab’s surface, and cracks began to spread across its stone skin.
Its claws started to move—it had co to life.
The surrounding Lucao Kingdom soldiers, so even preparing to take selfies with their phones, were startled.
The living stone crab’s movents caused everyone’s faces to pale.
“This… What’s going on?”
“The stone… has co alive!”
The crab, now fully animated, swung its blade-like pincers toward a nearby soldier from the Lucao Kingdom.
The pincers caught the soldier and brutally cleaved his body in two before he could even let out a scream.
The others were so terrified that they began fleeing in all directions.
The stone crab, now a ferocious beast, acted like a guard, protecting this palace-like area.
It rcilessly executed any intruders.
One stomp smashed a soldier’s head to pieces.
So tried shooting at it, but the bullets couldn’t even scratch the crab’s surface.
Instead, they were reduced to powder upon impact.
The soldiers from the Lucao Kingdom panicked and scattered, desperate to escape.
However, they couldn’t retreat toward the cave’s entrance anymore and had no choice but to flee deeper inside.
Further ahead, there were nurous other stone sculptures, countless shrimp soldiers and crab generals, filling the area densely.
Wherever humans passed, the statues would co to life, their eyes glowing red.
“Kill… Kill!
Any intruder must die!”
From afar, Tang Zhong watched this horrifying scene, utterly stunned.
Statues were coming to life—he could now deduce that these sculptures were the guards of this place, protecting the land from trespassers.
But how were these lifeless statues coming alive?
Then, Tang Zhong turned his gaze toward the depths of the cave—the answer lay ahead.
He imdiately picked up his pace.
The surrounding shrimp soldiers and crab generals had all co to life, starting a massacre.
Wielding Stone Blades, they slaughtered rcilessly.
The Lucao Kingdom soldiers were no match at all.
Among the crowd, the generals—most of whom were Martial Arts Masters—began fighting the shrimp soldiers and crab generals.
General Lute’s expression darkened as he faced the enemy ahead.
Clutching his battle blade, he clashed directly with a shrimp soldier.
Leaping forward, he delivered a heavy strike, colliding Blood Power against the foe.
He managed to block it, but destroying the opponent entirely proved impossible.
Seeing their general fail to overpower the adversary, his trusted aides grew even more fearful.
“What now, General?
What is this place?
How are these statues alive?”
“I don’t know!
The High Priest only instructed us to excavate this cave; there were no other explanations!” Lute replied.
Everyone aboard the warships had been given the order to occupy the North Sea, prevent any intruders, and locate a specific cave.
They had found the cave, but the High Priest hadn’t warned them about what lay inside.
“Run!
Do not die here!” Lute shouted loudly.
A large group began fleeing in a frenzy.
anwhile, Tang Zhong weaved through the crowd at astonishing speed.
Now, he confronted the shrimp soldiers directly.
Until then, Tang Zhong had observed from a distance, but now he was face-to-face with his enemies.
He imdiately noticed the fiendish aura emanating from the shrimp soldiers!
Within their bodies, he could sense vitality coursing through them—it seed sothing had imbued these sculptures with the power of life, enabling their animation.
What exactly was that power inside the shrimp soldiers?
Without hesitation, Tang Zhong gripped his Tang Sword tightly and slashed at the nearest shrimp soldier.
The scorching blade was incomparably sharp, cutting through the statue as if it were tofu.
A deep gash split the massive stone figure, severing it completely.
To Tang Zhong’s surprise, the statue’s interior was entirely filled with water, which now gushed out uncontrollably.
With a loud crash, the sliced shrimp soldier toppled to the ground, and the water inside flooded out, nearly subrging the area.
Water?
How could it be just water?
Frowning slightly, Tang Zhong pondered.
He had clearly sensed vitality within the sculpture just monts earlier—why was it now absent?
But this was no ti to dwell on questions.
Tang Zhong resolved to push further ahead, his speed accelerating sharply as he dashed forward, disappearing into the distance.
As for the surrounding statues, he had no intention of engaging them any further.
The Lucao Kingdom soldiers hadn’t gotten a good look at Tang Zhong.
They only noticed soone appearing out of nowhere and slaying one of the shrimp soldiers.
“General Lute, who is that person?
Is he one of us?”
“I don’t know!” Lute replied, unable to make out the stranger’s appearance.
“But he should be.
The North Sea is now under our control, and that person must have been sent by the High Priest.
If the High Priest’s people are here, we are saved!”
One of his trusted aides suddenly voiced a different thought: “General, could that man be the person from Xuan Country who escaped earlier?”
“How could it be?
That Xuan Country person wasn’t this strong!
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have fled in the first place.
If he had this kind of strength, he wouldn’t have needed to run!” Lute laughed.
The surrounding soldiers nodded in agreent, thinking his reasoning made sense.
Believing that the stranger was their ally, Lute’s forces were overjoyed.
“If we accomplish this mission, it’ll be a major rit for us!”
“Exactly!”
Just as they were celebrating, a shadow suddenly flashed above their heads.
“Who… who’s that?” soone exclaid upon spotting the figure.
“I don’t know.
Could it be another one of our people from the Lucao Kingdom?”
“Then who was that person earlier?”
Before anyone could answer, the shadow disappeared into the darkness.
