As the boat shattered, the two leapt away and landed on the stone walls surrounding the river.

The duo ended up on opposite sides.

If they could, they would discover that at the far end of the valley stood a sheer cliff.
Embedded within the cliff face was a sleeping visage—a human face frozen in slumber.
