Chapter 967: Chapter 977: Slaying the Yan River! (First Update)
Witness the grandeur of the Yan Family.
At this mont, Tang Zhong was truly enraged—an unprecedented fury!
No matter what circumstances the old General faced in the past, in the end, he was laid to rest.
Respect for the deceased is paramount, yet the Yan Family had the audacity to desecrate the old General’s tomb. This was sothing Tang Zhong could never forgive.
The killing intent surged!
When Tang Zhong’s fist smashed forward, Yan Biao never anticipated it. His face was utterly pulverized, and his body flew backward heavily.
Dead on the spot!
Those witnessing the scene around them were completely dumbfounded.
Especially the mbers of the Yan Family. This ti, the Yan Family had brought many of their people to dig up the grave, but now each of them stood frozen, their legs trembling.
They had never imagined—this was Yan Biao, the son of the first family of Xuanguan Sea!
“You… you killed Young Master Yan Biao. You… you’re dead for sure!”
Even Li Linglong was stunned. Killing Yan Biao ant breaking ties with the Yan Family. Furthermore, there were rumors that Yan Chihuo would soon erge. Doing this would surely lead to disaster!
Yet Tang Zhong appeared calm. He suppressed all his rage into his chest.
Rage alone is of no use. After it, there must be a sacrifice.
And now, the sacrifice would be them!
Tang Zhong’s gaze turned toward the Yan Family’s ancestral tomb ahead.
If Yan Biao had co to exhu the old General’s grave, Tang Zhong could not believe the higher-ups of the Yan Family hadn’t approved it. That made things quite simple!
Fixing his stare on the excavator that had earlier dug up General Peng’s grave, Tang Zhong unsheathed his Tang Sword and slashed forward in one swift motion.
The excavator was sliced cleanly in half.
At the sa ti, Tang Zhong turned his focus to the Yan Family’s ancestral tomb ahead. Blood Power gathered in his arm, glowing ominously red, and then he cut downward with his sword.
A massive blade, tens of ters long, descended from the heavens.
At this mont, the Yan Family mbers were utterly stupefied. When they understood Tang Zhong’s actions, their pupils widened: “You… you dare destroy our ancestral tomb!”
Li Linglong said not a word. He knew the might of the Yan Family and didn’t want to provoke them, but deep down in his heart, he couldn’t help but feel exhilarated!
“Dig!”
As Tang Zhong’s massive sword blade descended, it struck atop the Yan Family’s ancestral tomb.
With a thunderous roar, dust clouds exploded into the air, and a colossal pit ford beneath the blade.
More than a dozen coffins were exposed to the open air—all belonging to the deceased mbers of the Yan Family!
The Yan Family mbers who had followed Yan Biao stood frozen in horror upon witnessing this scene: “This… this can’t be…!”
These were their ancestors! Yet as they turned to Tang Zhong, extending their hands to point and curse, “You… you’re seeking death! Our Yan Family will never forgive you!”
But what answered them was another swipe of the blade.
The ones speaking were instantly cut down and killed.
Tang Zhong didn’t hold back against any of them. Standing firm with his sword, he waited.
He believed reinforcents would arrive soon.
Sure enough, word of what happened at the Martyrs’ Cetery quickly spread.
The entire Xuanjing City was shaken to the core!
No one could fathom how soone could dare dig up the Yan Family’s tomb in Xuanjing City—the Yan Family, the foremost family in the city, sought after even for re association. Who would dare commit such an outrageous act?
And when news broke that the one responsible was Tang Zhong, everyone drew in sharp breaths.
It took less than half an hour before several vehicles pulled up outside the cetery—all belonging to the Yan Family.
Yan He was among them, storming inside. Upon seeing his family’s ancestral tomb desecrated, his face turned ashen as he bellowed at Tang Zhong, who remained seated: “Boy, you’re dead!”
Tang Zhong’s expression remained cold.
He said nothing, but his blade fell once more.
Yan He’s entourage, all Yan Family mbers, were killed in an instant.
Only Yan He remained, staring at Tang Zhong in disarray and panic.
“Tang Zhong… we are the Yan Family. Do you not realize you’re seeking death?” Yan He roared.
In all these years in Xuan Country, they had never been disregarded like this.
“Who proposed desecrating General Peng’s tomb?” Tang Zhong asked Yan He icily.
“Where did you find the nerve to desecrate our Yan Family’s ancestral tomb?” Yan He exploded in fury.
Suddenly, Tang Zhong stood up and moved with lightning speed to Yan He’s side, placing his blade at the man’s throat. “Answer my question: Who dug up General Peng’s grave?”
Yan He froze in terror, staring at the blade beside his neck.
“…You wouldn’t dare!”
“Three!”
“Two!”
“What are you doing?” Yan He stamred in terror.
“Answer my question!” Tang Zhong demanded icily.
“One!”
The blade pressed closer to Yan He’s throat.
Yan He realized the man beside him was fully capable of following through.
In truth, Yan He knew nothing about the grave robbery—it was surely Yan Biao’s doing. But how could the Yan Family admit defeat? Their esteed ancestor, Yan Chihuo, was about to erge from isolation.
“It was Yan Chihuo of the Yan Family!” Yan He shouted.
The crowd was stunned silent by his words.
“Good!” Tang Zhong narrowed his eyes and said, “I understand now.”
“Then release imdiately! My ancestor, the ‘Heaven’s Number One,’ will not tolerate this!” Yan He roared.
But in the very next mont, the blade beside his neck sliced cleanly through.
A ribbon of blood appeared on Yan He’s throat as he stared at Tang Zhong in utter disbelief: “You… you dare kill ?”
“Rest assured, I’ll deal with Yan Chihuo soon enough!” Tang Zhong declared.
Tang Zhong was certain Yan Chihuo had said sothing to embolden the Yan Family to act so blatantly!
So he would find out exactly what kind of person Yan Chihuo truly was!
Yan He’s body fell lifelessly to the ground.
The crowd was once again overwheld with horror. No one had expected Tang Zhong would kill Yan He as well.
Yan He had even ntioned Yan Chihuo’s na.
The very legend of Xuan Country!
The entire crowd trembled in fear.
Li Linglong approached and pleaded, “You can’t kill… that’s the Yan Family!”
“I don’t care whether they’re the Yan Family or any other family. If they do what should never be done, they deserve to die!” Tang Zhong replied coldly.
General Peng Yuan treated him like his own grandson. Without the old General, Tang Zhong would likely have died back in Yun Country.
Not only was the old General’s cause of death still unsolved, but now his grave had been desecrated.
Tortured in life, dishonored in death—Tang Zhong could not and would not swallow this indignation.
“So what if it’s the Yan Family?”
Tang Zhong would not let them go.
He wanted to see for himself just what kind of person Yan Chihuo was, to have raised descendants capable of committing such heinous acts!
His belief was simple: This life, he sought nothing in the past nor in the next, only to have no regrets in this lifeti!
Li Linglong understood that persuasion was futile, so he quietly stepped back.
The news of Yan He’s death quickly spread throughout Xuanjing City.
