"Umm... ah... I... uh..."
Hearing the sounds from outside the office, Wu Hao, who Ye Lin had nearly tortured to death, secretly rejoiced. Help had arrived!

Ye Lin opened the door, her face emotionless. Standing in the doorway, she said to Sun Tianlin, "Director Wu wants you to call in our n from this floor. He has a plan."
"Most of our n are guarding the hostages. There are only two guarding the stairwell on this floor," Sun Tianlin said.
Using a commanding tone, Ye Lin said, "Then bring those two here. Director Wu is waiting inside."
Recalling the company rumors about Ye Lin and Wu Hao’s relationship, Sun Tianlin didn’t dare to object. He just uttered an "Oh" and hurried off to get the n.
When he brought the two ard security team mbers to the office door, Ye Lin was already there waiting for them.
"Go in. Director Wu is waiting for you inside," Ye Lin told them.
The three n, unsuspecting, entered. Sun Tianlin pushed open the office door first, followed by his two subordinates.
However, once inside, the sight that greeted them was shocking!
Wu Hao was sprawled beneath the office desk, his clothes crumpled and disheveled, his hair a ss. His face, bruised and swollen, looked like a pig’s head. He looked less like a human and more like a ghost!

An icy chill shot through Sun Tianlin’s heart; he had a terrible premonition. However, before he could even turn, he felt a blow to the back of his neck. Then, a loud ringing filled his ears, and he lost consciousness.
As he collapsed, he vaguely saw the other two n falling as well...
And behind them stood that dangerously alluring, graceful figure—

Outside the Emperor Dragon Building, Luo Han waited anxiously.
On one hand, he was waiting for the logistics team to bring the car the drug dealers had demanded. On the other, he was waiting for a reaction from the drug dealers inside the building.
Of course, his main concern was how to handle this situation. With hundreds of hostages inside the building, how could they be rescued? He racked his brain, but Luo Han was utterly clueless.
After about thirty minutes, Cheng Ye approached. "Director Luo, the car is ready," he said. "But are we really going to give it to the kidnappers? If they escape, we’ll still be held responsible, won’t we?"

Cheng Ye was rendered speechless.
Luo Han held up a gaphone, his gaze fixed anxiously on a sixth-floor window of the Emperor Dragon Building. "To the people inside: we have prepared the car you asked for! Release the hostages imdiately! We can sit down and talk. As long as you don’t harm the hostages, everything is negotiable!"
However, several minutes after his announcent, there was still no response from upstairs.
"What’s going on, Director Luo? Surely the drug traffickers haven’t escaped?" Cheng Ye asked curiously.
Luo Han shook his head. "Impossible. All surrounding roads are blocked. They couldn’t escape even if they had wings."
Despite saying this, Luo Han actually hoped these drug traffickers had managed to escape—as long as they hadn’t hard a single hostage.
After a few more minutes with no reaction from inside the Emperor Dragon Building, Luo Han felt his palms begin to sweat.
Just as he was about to raise the gaphone to call out again, he saw the main entrance of the Emperor Dragon Building slowly open.
Two people erged.
Two won!
Ye Lin and Wu i!
All guns were instantly aid at them, but just then, a police officer behind Cheng Ye shouted, "Don’t shoot! They’re one of us!"
The speaker was Liao Yunfan, captain of the district police’s criminal investigation division, Wu i’s usual contact.
"What’s going on?"
Luo Han, snapping back to reality, was utterly bewildered. How could these two won just stroll out of the kidnappers’ den so openly? This defied all logic!
Under the watchful eyes of everyone present, Ye Lin and Wu i walked like superstars on a red carpet, from the Emperor Dragon Building to where Luo Han and Cheng Ye stood.
Liao Yunfan, from behind them, was the first to ask, "Wu i, what happened? Who is she?"
Luo Han and Cheng Ye’s gazes shifted to Ye Lin. Upon seeing Ye Lin’s striking beauty, they were both sowhat astonished.
"She’s also an undercover agent, one sent by the Falcon Special Agents. Her na is Ye Lin," Wu i introduced. "Captain Liao, we’ve locked the drug dealers inside a room. The hostages have also been rescued. However, for the sake of the investigation and to avoid chaos, they’re still secured in their rooms and haven’t been released yet."
Wu i spoke calmly, as if they had completed the mission with ease.
But Luo Han and Cheng Ye, upon hearing her words, felt their despair instantly turn to elation. If not for the need to maintain their public image, they would have hugged each other in celebration.
Heavens! These two won had actually managed to handle the hostage-takers! They had actually resolved the biggest crisis they’d faced since taking office, a situation that had seed to spell the end of their careers!
Hearing Wu i’s words, everyone’s attention turned to Luo Han.
Luo Han swallowed, finding it hard to believe. "As far as I know, the drug traffickers’ leaders, Wu Hao and Sun Tianlin—are they inside the Emperor Dragon Building?"
"Sixth-floor office," Ye Lin replied nonchalantly.
"Then... then what should we do next... um..."
His heart thumping with a mix of joy and panic, Luo Han was suddenly unsure of what to do next.
Ye Lin said, "You go arrest the suspects, release the hostages, deal with the reporters, and report to your superiors that the situation is secure."
Cheng Ye said, "Comrade Ye Lin, Comrade Wu i, you have perford an extraordinary deed! To have dismantled this drug trafficking ring without any casualties this ti—you two deserve the primary credit! Haha, truly, won are no less capable than n!"
"Yes, yes, yes! On behalf of all the people in our city and all our fellow officers, I thank you both..." Luo Han gushed, not stopping to consider if he could actually speak for so many people.
Then, he turned to Liao Yunfan and said, "Liao, these two heroines have perford exceptionally. Now, take your n and secure the scene!"
Liao Yunfan acknowledged with a nod and led his n charging into the Emperor Dragon Building.
"Haha, Comrade Ye Lin, so you’re an undercover agent from another unit?" Luo Han pulled Ye Lin aside, thanking her excitedly. "For your help this ti, I truly don’t know how to thank you enough."
Ye Lin smiled faintly and said, "Director, if you wish to thank , then perhaps you could grant one request?"
