Swept up by their physical arousal and the charged atmosphere, Lin Feng and Tang Rou were both overco by passion. Lin Feng picked Tang Rou up and headed towards her bedroom on the second floor.
Tang Rou was his woman, and he intended to show her a night of tender love.
"WOOF WOOF..."
As they reached the hallway, Mao Mao, the dog in the courtyard, suddenly started barking fawningly.
Upon hearing this familiar sound, Tang Rou seed to realize sothing. Her beautiful eyes suddenly flew open, and she urged anxiously, "Lin Feng, put down quickly."
"What’s wrong?" Lin Feng asked.
Tang Rou scrambled out of Lin Feng’s arms, then frantically pulled him towards the laundry room. "Quick, go change your clothes! My dad’s back!" she rushed.
Tang Rou was very familiar with Mao Mao’s fawning barks; it clearly ant the dog had slled her father, Tang Zhendong.
Damn it! Wasn’t he supposed to be staying elsewhere? Of all the tis for him to co back!
Lin Feng cursed inwardly, hastily changed his clothes in the laundry room, and then walked out, feigning composure.
Actually, Tang Zhendong’s timing was pretty good, Lin Feng thought. Damn, if he’d shown up a few minutes later and found with his precious daughter in her room... wouldn’t that be getting caught red-handed?
The thought made Lin Feng break out in a cold sweat. He didn’t know how Tang Zhendong would react to him dating Tang Rou. For now, it seed best to keep their relationship a secret from him.
Sure enough, when Lin Feng reached the living room, he saw a middle-aged man with a briefcase under his arm walking in from the courtyard. Although Lin Feng had never formally t Tang Zhendong, he had distinctly seen Tang Zhendong on their family’s balcony observing him once.
When Tang Zhendong returned, Tang Rou, her face still flushed, called out softly and sheepishly, "Dad."
Tang Zhendong had been looking down. Hearing Tang Rou call him, he quickly smiled and looked up. "Rou’er, you’re back..."
However, as he looked up, he was startled. There was another man in his living room!
Lin Feng! Tang Zhendong recognized him instantly. His expression stiffened, and he stared at Lin Feng without a word.
"Hello, Uncle Tang," Lin Feng could only greet him. Judging by Tang Zhendong’s expression, it seed he didn’t have a very good impression of Lin Feng.
"Is this... your classmate?" Tang Zhendong asked, looking at Tang Rou.
"Yes," Tang Rou said, lowering her head. "He’s Lin Feng."
"Oh, you’ve ntioned him... So it’s him." Tang Zhendong nodded, walked into the living room, and said to Lin Feng, "Have a seat."
Setting down his briefcase, Tang Zhendong’s gaze fell on Tang Rou. "Rou’er, it’s almost midnight. What are you two doing?"
At this mont, Tang Zhendong felt a knot in his stomach, and his palms began to sweat. He didn’t normally live here. However, his eting had run late today, and he’d wanted to spend ti with Tang Rou, so he had decided to co over on a whim.
He hadn’t expected to find Tang Rou with Lin Feng upon arrival.
With a man and a woman alone here, it’s inevitable that sparks might fly and things could get out of hand!
It’s midnight already; who knows if they did anything. If Lin Feng dares to bully Rou’er, I’ll make him pay! Tang Zhendong’s gaze shifted back to Lin Feng. Thank goodness I decided to co over here on a whim!
"Dad, Lin Feng and I went out today. He brought ho, and then it started raining. Lin Feng’s clothes got wet, so I was just helping him dry them..."
At this point, Tang Rou was like a child who had misbehaved, her head lowered, too nervous to et her father’s eyes. Her heart was pounding.
"You two were out until midnight?" Tang Zhendong asked.
Seeing Tang Rou’s face flush red and her voice as faint as a mosquito’s buzz, Lin Feng had to answer, "Uncle Tang, it’s like this. Tang Rou and I went to a movie tonight, and afterward, we got caught in the rain and were stranded outside. That’s why I brought her back so late; we would have been back by ten o’clock otherwise."
Lin Feng had initially thought of ntioning Tang Rou taking care of his mother, but on second thought, he decided against it, fearing it would only make things sound worse.
"Oh, is that so?" Tang Zhendong asked mildly. "Well, Lin Feng, it’s quite late. Aren’t your parents expecting you ho?"
This was clearly an order to leave. Lin Feng, of course, understood. He stood up. "Yes, yes, you’re right. It’s midnight; I should be going. Well then, Uncle Tang, Tang Rou, goodbye."
With a smile, Lin Feng turned to leave.
Tang Rou quickly stood up. "Dad, I’ll get the door for him."
As Tang Rou walked Lin Feng to the door, she said with a hint of reluctance, "Lin Feng, be careful on your way."
Lin Feng nodded. "Don’t worry. When I walk at night, it’s others who aren’t safe." He then added, "Your father will definitely ask about us later. What will you say?"
Tang Rou hesitated for a mont, her gaze softening as she looked at Lin Feng. "You’re my boyfriend now, but... I can’t let my dad know about this. Otherwise, he’ll be angry, so..."
Lin Feng had a feeling this was what she would say. He pulled Tang Rou into his embrace. "Then let’s not tell your dad about our relationship. Actually, that’s what I was thinking too. Alright, don’t stay outside too long, or your dad will co out. I’m leaving now. Good night."
Lin Feng released Tang Rou and turned to go.
"Lin Feng, wait," Tang Rou suddenly called out softly.
Hearing her, Lin Feng turned. Just as his head ca around, he saw Tang Rou had already stepped close. The young woman stood on her tiptoes, her red lips gently parting, and gave Lin Feng a light, butterfly-like kiss on his cheek. Her own cheeks were already burning red with shyness.
"Hmm, that slls wonderful. I’ll have sweet dreams tonight. Good night," Lin Feng smiled at Tang Rou, then turned and walked towards the exit of the residential complex.
Only after Lin Feng’s figure disappeared at the end of the road did Tang Rou take a deep breath to compose herself before returning to the living room.
In the living room, Tang Zhendong sat quietly. When Tang Rou returned, he said nothing. After a period of careful thought, he finally asked, "Are you and Lin Feng dating?"
"Ah... no, no, nothing like that," Tang Rou replied guiltily, her head bowed.
Tang Zhendong sighed helplessly. He knew his daughter’s personality all too well; he especially knew how she acted when she was lying.
After a mont’s hesitation, Tang Zhendong asked again, "Did you two... do anything intimate tonight?"
"Dad..."
Hearing this, Tang Rou blushed even more fiercely. She recalled Lin Feng kissing her at the newsstand, and how he had held her and caressed her body in the laundry room just monts ago. A wave of happiness washed over her.
"We... we’re just friends. Nothing happened," Tang Rou stamred.
"Heh," Tang Zhendong shook his head and chuckled. "It seems a daughter cannot be kept at ho once she’s grown, eh, Rou’er? Do you think your father is so old he doesn’t know anything? Do you think I don’t know why you’d rather defy than study abroad?"
