"It only happened in the last couple of days, I haven’t had a chance to report to you yet..." Lin Feng explained with a smile. "Xie Nan was short on cash, so I invested a bit, and in return, I got so shares."
"Aren’t you just a college student? Where would you get that kind of money to invest in a business?" Cao Ying widened her eyes, staring at Lin Feng.
"Aren’t you a student too? And you’re driving around in an Audi all day..." Lin Feng playfully retorted, not explaining where the money ca from. If I tell her I got it from those shady car dealings, she’d just worry needlessly. There’s no point in that, he reasoned.
"That’s different, it’s my family’s car..." Cao Ying explained instinctively. Then, as if piecing things together, she said with sudden realization, "You must have borrowed the money from your family too, right!"
"Uh..." Lin Feng hesitated, not wanting to lie to Cao Ying.
"There’s no need to be embarrassed. Investing in a small place like this to get so practice isn’t a bad idea..." He must be embarrassed to admit it, Cao Ying thought, so she reassured him.
