"What did you call here for?" Xu Jing, upon hearing Lin Feng’s question, couldn’t help but chuckle. "Do you even need to ask? I called you over to get a straight answer about your whereabouts these past few days!"

Just as expected, Xu Jing had brought it up. Lin Feng grimaced, feeling conflicted.

When Lin Feng had previously called Xu Jing to request a leave of absence, she had asked the sa question, to which he had failed to give her a satisfactory answer.

Now that he had finished his errand, Lin Feng, in theory, owed Xu Jing an explanation. However, telling her everything that happened on the Treasure Ship seems a bit inappropriate. Firstly, I don’t want Xu Jing to know I did dangerous things like fighting experts in a ring. Secondly, I’m bound by a confidentiality agreent, so there’s a lot I can’t tell her... But I also don’t want to lie to Xu Jing. That was why he was so conflicted.

"Don’t lie to ..." Xu Jing stared at Lin Feng and said with a playful grin.

The truth was, Xu Jing had added that sentence to test whether Lin Feng would take her words seriously. After all, she had already learned from her grandfather, Xu Yishan, about Lin Feng’s whereabouts these past few days!

The leader of the Hong Sect, Bai Yuanshan, under instructions from the forr master Xu Yishan, had been closely observing Lin Feng on the Treasure Ship for a while. He had determined that Lin Feng had potential and would be a suitable groom for Xu Jing. When he t Xu Yishan again, he shared this conclusion with him.

Xu Yishan naturally trusted Bai Yuanshan’s judgnt. After learning that Lin Feng was a decent young man, Xu Yishan was quite delighted. In his elation, he had let slip a few details of Lin Feng’s dazzling exploits on the Treasure Ship to Xu Jing. However, Xu Yishan didn’t tell Xu Jing that he had arranged for soone to watch Lin Feng. He rely ntioned that during a casual conversation with an old friend who had been on the Treasure Ship, the topic of a certain young man nad Lin Feng had co up.

Thus, Xu Jing found out that Lin Feng had been on a cruiser for the past few days, fighting for soone for so specific purpose.

Initially, upon learning that Lin Feng had been engaging in underground boxing matches, Xu Jing was very worried. However, to comfort her, Xu Yishan had confidently reassured her, "You can relax. That young man is extrely capable. Even I wasn’t as impressive as him when I was young!"

Xu Jing was truly shocked by this. Being untrained in martial arts, she couldn’t gauge Lin Feng’s true strength. However, she was well aware that her own grandfather was Xu Yishan of the Hong Sect, acclaid as the foremost expert in Jiangzhou. He had held this title for over twenty years, a claim no one had ever questioned.

During her childhood, Xu Jing had occasionally witnessed Xu Yishan in action. The astonishing power he displayed left an indelible impression on her. In my heart, Grandpa is a towering hero, the ultimate hidden boss, soone no one can surpass!

So, when Xu Yishan claid Lin Feng was even more formidable than he himself had been at a young age, Xu Jing found it hard to believe. Could Lin Feng’s martial arts skills really be that exaggerated?!

Xu Jing suddenly recalled Lin Feng saving Li Liping on stage. He had caught Li Liping with his body, a maneuver that might have looked clumsy. Yet, she realized a normal person wouldn’t have reacted so quickly or possessed such strong resistance to impact. To be hit by Li Liping falling from such a height and only black out for a mont, without any injury at all!

That rascal! Not only does he know dicine, but he’s also trained in martial arts and never even ntioned it to . How deceitful! Becoming increasingly curious about Lin Feng, she had decided to press him about his whereabouts today.

"Teacher, I really don’t want to lie to you..." Lin Feng, unaware that Xu Jing already knew his secret, responded with a bitter smile to the young and beautiful counselor. "But, my story isn’t so easy to share... Teacher, could you please not ask?"

Xu Jing was so amused by Lin Feng’s reaction that she burst into laughter. "Lin Feng, don’t get too big for your boots! You’re actually telling not to ask? I am your counselor, after all! What kind of attitude is this?"

"My attitude is very good..." Lin Feng looked innocently at Xu Jing and said earnestly. I really have no choice. If I could tell her, why wouldn’t I? It’s just so inconvenient to say!

"You call this a good attitude?" Xu Jing, barely hiding her laughter, began to scold Lin Feng. "Last week, you disappeared completely. Then, a phone call out of nowhere saying you needed to take leave, but you refused to give a reason, only promising to explain when you returned. I thought you’d been kidnapped! And now, you’re telling not to ask? Is this a good attitude? I am your counselor. If you continue to be so arrogant, I might just call your parents to co to the school for a talk."

"WHA...? Teacher, are you going to call my parents?" Lin Feng was taken aback. I can’t believe she’d consider such a drastic asure! He was genuinely a little scared.

If Father Lin Zhonghua and Mother Jiang Xiuyun found out I’d vanished from school for over a week, it would be a huge problem! I absolutely can’t let them be bothered...

"What’s wrong? Educating students has never been solely the school’s responsibility; can’t I call your parents?" Xu Jing looked at Lin Feng with a smile, feigning confusion. Deep down, I’m overjoyed. I’ll show Lin Feng what a teacher’s authority ans. That rascal! After all my concern for him, he went and did such a huge thing without breathing a word to . He’s really treating like an outsider!

"It’s not that you can’t..." Lin Feng replied to Xu Jing with a bitter smile. "It’s just, isn’t it a bit too soon to et the parents... I... I’m not ready to introduce you to them yet..."

"PAH! What do you an you’re not ready to introduce us? Who said this was about eting parents in that sense?" Xu Jing was so exasperated by Lin Feng’s words that she laughed. She stood up and made a show of walking over to Lin Feng to pinch his ear. "You naughty boy, watch what you’re saying! Daring to take advantage of your teacher... Believe it or not, I’ll twist your ear off!"

Lin Feng could have easily dodged Xu Jing’s small hand, but wanting to appease her, he gritted his teeth, refrained from moving, and even purposefully offered his ear.

I only ant to pretend to pinch his ear, just to scare him. But who would have thought my casual grab would actually connect? I’ve really caught his ear!

How did I actually grab it? Xu Jing was startled. She hastily let go of Lin Feng and tried to retreat to her seat, but then her high-heeled shoe slipped, and she lurched backward...

"AHH..." Xu Jing shrieked as she was about to fall.

"Teacher Xu..." I was just waiting for her to pinch my ear and let off so steam. Who’d have thought she’d let go as soon as she touched , then suddenly stumble backward as if about to fall? He instinctively sprang from the sofa, reached out, and tightly supported Xu Jing’s falling body.

Holding her so tightly, it feels like I’m embracing a piece of warm, soft jade...

Xu Jing stared at Lin Feng, her face flushed red in embarrassnt, her perfect figure on full display before him.
